Crazy to think how you had to go all out even when he was only using just the blade to win. That shows just how good he really is! Hope to see more videos of you in China! 🎉🎉❤❤
Let me say something fun, as a table tennis enthusiast, I was once professionally trained in China by a retired world champion. My coach used to play against me using a tin of pickle iron lids. It was a very close match, but he still won the game.
Never knew before watching a TT video could be so much fun. Also never knew a person could actually be so versatile and talented in TT - left-handed playing right-handed, penholder playing handshake, using mini racket like a real racket, playing with just the TT blade. Thank you, Adam. TT is fortunate to have you as the ambassador, showing us what we might otherwise never have seen.
I was actually SHOCKED Xu Xin lost the game with a recreational racquet! I can not imagine Djokovic losing a game to a non-pro just because of a normal racquet. He probably wouldn't even lose a single point, let alone a whole game. I mean, Xu Xin has been doing this for decades, multiple hours per day, and is supposedly one of the best... he should be able to beat any amateur with a frying pan lol. Kinda embarrassing he lost, to be honest.
@@firelordplayz if u used a brain, adam borrow is semi pro. and hes not taking this too seriously, xu xin was just having fun making content with his friend.
The game with the small racket was wild. Xu xin's touch is otherworldly. So glad he had a successful career that provided enormous entertainment for fans around the world!
Thank you so much for this! Xu Xin is for sure the COAT, the coolest of all times. My hero, the reason why I shifted from shakehand to penhold grip, 3 years ago. Never regretted it, it’s so much more fun to play penhold style, though I’m self learning it, but get incredible inspiration from Xuperman’s videos
Adam might lose a game of table tennis every now and then, but he usually wins in terms of personality, humor and charisma. But coming up against Xu Xin, he's got some serious competition in that department as well! ❤Good job people like these two exist!
These challenges brought a huge smile to my face, love your content! It's so incredible to watch the best players like Xu Xin try crazy things like switching from penhold to shakehand on a rec paddle to hit a backspin smash
Hey Adam, you're a classy man!!! and you have done us all a great favor in bringing first class entertainment to this amazing sport. As is for you, The Cloudwalker is one of my favourites as well. Thanks for bringing so much class and joy to the world of Table tennis. Cheers,
Xu Xin is well known in china for his playful personality, too bad that most of Chinese (and other Asian country) players are only known by the international fans for their skills, but not their personalities
Ok Adam you've outdone yourself. Just getting to hangout with Mr. Entertainment and Chinese Xupertalent would have an honour. I've played competitive table tennis for 20 years for Geelong and nationally so when the opportunity came up for the Platinum events at Geelong I jumped at the chance. Both years(should have been 3)surpassed my expectation of star standing line ups in an Australian Open event. Had the vest seats. Watched the best players as everyone one who was anyone turned up and gave it everything. Whated players train at night. Got into the Chinese sectioned training hall where the glue-up, warm-up and coached. Unfortunately didn't find out about the visitors that came to Geelongs main table tennis centre otherwise I would have been happy to pop in and say hi. Anyway I know you came down to Geelong and performed your commentary professionally. Xu Xin vs Patrick Franziska semi final was a heart stopper. Great video. Keep them coming. Regards, Robin Paterson.
Love these videos, so cool to see you and these absolute legends of the game just enjoying their time :) As an offensive C-Penholder myself I was also sooo inspired the first time I watched Xu Xin!
This is maybe the video that has made me smile the most!!! Xu Xin being funny and cocky, truly what all Xu Xin's fans wanna see! And there's more? hell yeah
Just the thumbnail gives me chills. Xu was what looks like the last of a rare type of players that you cannot tell were better players or entertainers. I was a shakeholder, but turned into a left hand penholder inspired by this guy. I loved his matches coupled with your commentary because i know you loved him just as much adam
This is your best video so far, Adam! One phrase oft-repeated in our TT playing sessions is "It's not the racket, it's the player!" Xu Xin is a living testament to this line. I wanted you to compete with Xu Xin's natural playing style and was a bit underwhelmed with the format at first, but am elated that you'll be doing just that in the next video. Can't wait!!
Actually, he proved it is a racquet for him lol. I was SHOCKED Xu Xin lost the game with a recreational racquet! @@firelordplayz Nah bro, I disagree. Both very different games. A rubber padding of any sort is essential to a table tennis racquet. Without that it is as you said a literal frying pan! I’d definitely give Xu Xin the benefit of doubt for this.
@@neilpaliwal9102 I understand the last game he lost, but I am talking about the game he lost playing with a typical, standard recreational racquet. That one shocked me and he as a very experienced professional definitely should have won that. I mean, seriously, can you imagine Djokovic losing to someone just because he played with a normal $100 racquet from a store? Or Messi losing to someone just because he played with a regular soccer ball, wearing regular shoes? I can not. It seems all the training and all the talent in the world means very little in TT if you don't have the best racquet and that's very surprising to say the least.
A dream came true!!! Finally got to see you play my favorite player. 1st part is more of a foreplay lol, but very interesting to see Xu Xin nailed these tricky games. Can't wait to see the 2nd part.

I really adore your videos, and they enlightened me on the sport of table tennis as a whole, making me want to play even more! Me and brothers play almost everyday, and we all give thanks to you and your videos! Thank you for introducing me to the sport!
You played very well. The skill of top professional players is beyond imagination. One of my colleagues, who is an amateur enthusiast, easily defeated me. However, during his peak, he was completely overpowered by a 9-year-old boy ........... Kong Linghui. At that time, Kong had only been learning PingPong for only three years and was also an amateur player. It can only be said to be a natural talent.

The small packet game was incredibly impressive and beyond my imagination. I have been playing table tennis since I was 6, but it wasn't until today that I know how amazing the pro can handle the ball.
The the most spectacular backhand shot (by _anyone_ ) I ever saw was an emergency smash against Waldner by penholder Wang Zengyi. JO had made a slam-dunk, point-over, put-away forehand to Wang's far left. It would be almost unreturnable, even for a shakehand lob attempt. Wang instantly flipped to shakehand, bounding in huge strides almost to the barriers, and blasted a full-stroke shakehand kill shot that left Waldner dumbfounded. He gave an understated thumbs up for it, in frank admiration. At the time I just sat there, not even understanding _what_ had happened, and I still don't understand how he could have pulled it off. It was a Xuperman² one-off event that will never be repeated.

For some reason I was watching the video in the morning and I gotta say it made me seriously happy. First video in a long time that made me feel in such a good way. Thanks for making my morning Adam and thanks to my favorite Legend Xu.
The reason I started “pen holding” in table tennis was watching by pure luck a match between Ma Lin and Kenta Matsudaira and of course I have been attracted by the spectacle Ma Lin offered in that match. I left with no remorse😊 the shake hand grip and trade it for penhold and I do not regret that a bit, even if that meant to “ factory reset my knowledge” 😊. I pushed hard work and taught myself the RPB technique after watching countless hours of another legend at work, Wang Hao😊 I solemnly promise I will not miss a second from the clip if Adam will challenge the God of ghost serve. Anyway, I feel so happy that Xu Xin opened his business, I am pretty sure that there in that very place he will inspire many generations to come. It will be enough for a kid to see him demonstrating some of those mad skills and he or she will want on the spot to become a future champ.

Hello mate, Aussie Chinese here and just want to say that I really enjoy your commentary, especially the last couple Olympics. Crazy that Xuperman was popularised by you, keep up the good work!
Can't wait to watch the following video, it is very promising. Anyway, Xu Xin is so impressive even with a wooden racket without any rubber or a microscopic one. He seems nice and and likes to banter. Thanks again for these entertaining videos when we get to see another side of pro-players (a legendary one here).
Xuper video Adam! Can't wait to see the next one with Xuperman as well as the next prof. USA league matches with your commentating. By the way, since you asked about my name: the "shuswp" part is based on the name of the river I grew up beside, the Shuswap river, which itself derives from the name of the local native Indian tribe/band. There is also a touristy Shuswap lake in the same region with five different arms, one of them called Salmon Arm (where they actually have a tiny little TT club, and even there you are a well-known entity, haha). I officially invite you to visit the Vancouver Table Tennis Club (3925 Fraser St, Vancouver) where I play on your next or first ever trip here. One of our members, Olivia Huang, recently (in October) won the under 13 yrs girl's gold medal at the WTT Youth Contender Mosquera 2023. I think this is a first for a Canadian at such a major international competition. Another member, Tom, plays excellent snakes, like you. Would love see a snake fight between the 2. Yet another member, Laurent (originally from France) conducted an hour long video interview (available on his website) with Timo Boll last year, in which he invites Boll to come for a visit to Vancouver.

It's interesting to see Xu Xin went back to traditional penhold backhand instead of RPB in these non-competitive matches. I guess old habits are hard to change. Probobly he will play some RPB in the next match.

Hello mate, Aussie Chinese here and just want to say that I really enjoy your commentary, especially the last couple Olympics. Crazy that Xuperman was popularised by you, keep up the good work!
Great to see XuXin again, all the best for him and his new Cafe!
Fun to watch. Xu is a magician when playing, as he could place the ball almost wherever he wanted. Just an extraordinary player of all time.
I’ve never seen a penholder do a shakehand grip in a match before, let alone Xu Xin! This is great
TableTennisDaily have a vid where they get Dang Qiu to play a match with shakehand - and another one getting Dima to play penhold...
Finally!!! I was waiting for this battle for a very long time! Thank you Adam
Looking straight into Adam's eyes after every absurd point he scored is straight savage lol. What an unbelievable talent.
I think this is what I wanted to see the most! More of the content with serious players like Chinese tops doing casual stuff! Especially like Xu Xin playing shakehand! Thank you, Adam, for this video! Hope some time I can see something similar with Ma Long. 😊
Went to Beijing a few months ago, definitely the most fascinating and creative places I’ve ever been to. Ur so lucky
This was simply sublime. Good video quality with excellent elements and descriptions as well. Crazy. Envy both to be so freaking good.
The most entertaining player to have held a bat. His highlight reel is longer than my life expectancy. 🤣🤣
I’ve played TT for all my youth and had so many years far from playing. Your videos are making me to consider get back to play, so fun!
go ahead
China has two very humorous male Olympic champions who are quite impressive, one is Wu Dajing and the other is Xu Xin.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAT ADAM MANAGED TO GET XU XIN ON THE CHANNEL!!!!!!!!! IM SO EXCITED TO SEE THIS I JUST SAW IT IN MY NOTIFICATIONS!!!!!!!
Incredibile how did he play , We can see the important part of tabletennis Is the hand , the position and the motion of body! Thanks Adam for this video I really enjoy! 🎉💪🏻🏓
I really enjoy Adam saying "Ahyaa" or "Eyeeoo". They are so Chinese way to say ouch.
This is the video that we've alllll been waiting for!!!! Amazing Adam!!!!
XuXin! As a layman I would say he is definitely the most entertaining player i've ever seen. I still remember in an interview he said: If you're not interested in table tennis, take a look at my highlight reel, you'll get interested. And this is true! 😂
Omg! This is Tendo! This video just came up in my TH-cam feed! It’s amazing! I love the creativity and effort you put into the video! It’s so much fun to watch your journey and enthusiasm in this sport! 加油 加油! I’m going to subscribe and watch your other videos, much love brother!
Tendo!! Great to hear from you!!! What a wonderful coincidence!! Thanks a ton! I hope you enjoy and I hope all is well with you! 🥰
Xu Xin my all time favorite player as well 😊 the reason I started the penhold path..miss him playing in international competition but I’m glad I can still watch him play 🏓 looking forward to your next game with adam 😊

What a great episode! Xu Xin’s actually known in China as ‘people’s artist’. What a sportsman and a fun person
He is a máster, you get some good points but honestly for me he was playing like 50% of his capacity, he was so chill lol and make It look so easy even with the Challenges
More like 5%
More like 5-10%
yeah in the first raquet he was only allowed to slice and yet he didnt start to play hard and fast.
Yeah world champions don’t get serious unless they meet with another world champion😉
"It's very entertaining and fun to watch this video. Xu Xin is my all-time favorite table tennis player, and Adam is my favorite TH-camr. Thank you for making this video."
It reminds me how my coach once destroyed me with only a blade. Xu Xin is my favorite player in modern area. No one else comes close.
wow whoever put the "chop" "chop", is doing me a massive favour helping me learn the terms! thanks :D (p.s i'm only a casual player now and growing up)
The thing I love about this sport: "The better you get, the more you realize how bad you are" but it never stops being fun 😂
The fact that Xu Xin is unfazed by the challenge 4 is so incredible, and Adam on the other hand is sweating his butt off😭
Adam's nicknames for people are always sooo sick!
Xu Xin превратил настольный теннис в целое шоу..его розыгрыши мячей -это что то запредельное
love this video!!!! the video is super fun and its great to see xuxin!
@Adam since you are in China, are we expecting a "win me for $100" show in China? I don't think you need to find a table or place to do that like you did in Paris.
Please like if you also want to see that in China!
What a treat. I love watching Xu Xin - he is amazing. And Adam, you're ok too. LOL.
It's interesting to see Xu Xin went back to traditional penhold backhand instead of RPB in these non-competitive matches. I guess old habits are hard to change. Probobly he will play some RPB in the next match.
Thoroughly enjoyable. My favorite match-up so far.
Watching this video was sheer joy, how often we get to see our favourite player like this😍💯
The way Xu Xin said "Shakehand is easy!!!" was hilarious 😂😂, I started playing penhold after getting mesmerized by Xu Xin's game❤
Keep uploading such videos, we want 2nd, 3rd and endless parts of this video. No one comes near Xu Xin when it's about creativity, entertainment and pure skills of the game.
Our Cloud Walker✨
Love you Xuperman🫂❣️
From India 🇮🇳
Who else was waiting for such video???
I think that this video and the next one will be one of the most viewed video of adam bobrow.
Waiting for MA long, Timo boll, fan zhendong videos next
3:30 Xu Xin stopped the time for a second, it's visible. He returns so powerful shot with so much ease. Just incredible.
as a TT player 11:53 is all I gotta say
I truly love how Adam just acquired his own pool of expression/reaction meme clips over the years.
He seems like such a chill guy just to be around
Adam I was part of the Ping Pong Posse at USC when you were there, and I will always remember when you challenged me in my dorm at Parkside, and you offered to use a recreational paddle against my standard paddle. I'm pretty sure you let me win, but it was such a memorable and fun moment for me. Hope I can see you at Pingpod Astoria sometime!!
Jesse Du! I remember you well! Catchy name, good vibes... great to hear from you! I also remember some wonderful food at Parkside! haha. That's cool! Thanks for dropping this comment. Yeah! I did a Grand Opening at the Astoria Pod... and I usually get out to NYC a few times a year... so hopefully next time I'm around we can meet. Lots of good people at the PingPods! Keep in touch! Shoot me a DM on IG if you can. 8>)
What makes Xu Xin so good is his ability to adapt technique during the game. Being creative is difficult for professional players.
Wow, didn't expect this one coming. Great vid
非常好视频,使我的乒乓球旋转❤
笑死
Thank u Adam for sharing this. This video make me smile. Both of you are so interesting.Miss our cloud walker🐍🐍
I worried that last challenge will be without hands 😂
Hahaha. THE best table tennis commentator in the world. Passionate and Fun!!!
Challenge Ma Long!
i think adam was so starstruck and nervous he missed a lot, but sooper fun to watch this vieo, awsome content Adam
