Hello guy the saw is a Dame good saw I runner a saw for years it helps with with work loads u would really be surprised what it can do and the money u can make with this saw true be told without killing ur help he will cut 200 to 250 hundred pallets a day which is good I really like this machine I just started up this year and opened up a pallet company of my own when the money get right this is the machine for me u willn't go wrong a good saw man should get 5 to 7 days off a bland good luck guys
You'd think they could make this with dual blades so the pallets could be entirely disassembled in a single pass.
It would likely get caught and throw shit at the operators. specifically their eyes. :)
So, I really like your sawmills WM, and am planning on the purchase of one in the future. But this machine looks SO hazardous with what, at least in this video, like the guys hands are coming within inches of that totally unprotected blade. And what's the end use of all this dismantled pallet wood? Forgive my ignorance in the matter but is it going to the dump or to make new pallets? Enquiring minds want to know
KC, thank you for your questions! This machine dismantles pallet boards in order to make remanufactured or recycled pallets. By taking components from broken or used pallets, new boards don’t have to be produced to create a pallet. There are many advantages to using a recycled pallet including lower cost, increased strength from seasoned wood, and less wood waste from not throwing away broken pallets. Safety is very important to Wood-Mizer and this machine meets our high standards. As long as operators don’t reach their hands over top or up to the blade’s exposed teeth, they will be in a safe position to operate the machine. A good saw man should cut 200 to 300 but the catch is the forklift operator got to feed him

A sideways bandsaw
Ya you could buy this for $11,600 or you can spend $20 on a hammer and do it that way. Or you can use your foot and kick the boards loose or use a small log. I can think of a 100 different ways to dismantle a pallet that are under $50.
These are made for men in the pallet recycling business and not for boys with little imagination.
