I work for a full service waste company. But I want to start my own junk removal business. A good tip for finding out “Big pickup day” is finding out what company has that city contract. However with big pickup day, there are stipulations to how much and what you can put out on the curb. And if your not in city limits you don’t get that service since the city pays for that service for its city residents.

Individuals similar to those featured in this video may not be the best sources for advice. They manage their finances poorly, leading to a life filled with stress, overwhelming debt, and eventual bankruptcy.
Starting a garbage removal service business with consistent income, generating $1,500 per week after gas, taxes, and dump fees, is entirely achievable, and that's working 5 days a week with weekends off, every single week of the year. All you need is a compact pickup truck like a Toyota Tacoma or even a small car with a small trailer to get started. You don't even need to communicate with any customers when done correctly, no face-to-face no phone calls, no text, none of that stuff.
Interesting take. This is my story and it worked for me and also can for anyone else who aspires to make more than $1500 a week with a Toyota Tacoma. Nothing wrong with it but that not what I was looking for.
You must build necessary skills to run a larger business (not that my operation was that big). Sales skills, money management, organization and 7 figure work ethic.
Again this video may not be for everyone, but those who aspire for more, it is for them.
@@realskylane That $1500 per week is based on $3000 per week minus expenses and taxes; it's a 50% high estimate. $2000 take-home pay per week is realistic with some tight expense controls in place. That's one person working alone with almost no startup cost, assuming they own a vehicle already (a common vehicle like a small or large truck or car and trailer). It involves working 5 days a week, but it can be scaled or even reduced to a couple of days as needed-no weekends, no holidays. The strategy includes extremely focused, low-cost advertising with a very high conversion rate. The same amount is earned every week and is paid from 30 to 90 days upfront; that part really depends on the demographic, but it's still a minimum of 30 days prepaid by the customer regardless of demographic.

You came on my page commenting those things and now you're giving one strategy that can work. That's great, but just because you don't agree with what i'm stating as "realistic" in this video doesn't mean anything. That's your opinion that your entitled to it. If you actually watched the full video, which I don't believe you did, you would see that I give a lot of foundational knowledge on how to get started up and succeed in the business. I did real estate in CA for 2.5 years before getting into junk removal. I was doing it for "free" for my listing clients anyways. Definitely worth it. Real estate is WAYYY more saturated because most people think it's easy even though it's not.

Where do you dump the waste that’s the hardest part? What if you have logs, sticks,tons of leaves and a washing machine and wooden fence mixed into one trailer? And a plastic kids slide!?
You got a doozie on you hands there Lol it all depends on the city and individual dump station. I would suggest separating it next time even though it may mean multiple trips.
Need to explain the legal part, filing for llc and stuff. I already got the truck, trailer, tools, and good bit of experience
Filing for LLC should be simple. You can do it on your states website or use someone like LegalZoom to do it for you.

I pay $160 at the landfill for a full load of drywall.
$135 full load of framing.
$40 for a full load of boxes broken down.
Mixed trash around $70-$100
Brick and concrete is free at certain landfills.

So i do have waste management in some areas but everyone doesnt use them whatsoever and there are a few moving businesses that offer junk removal as well near me. So would there be a market for me to start?
I would say that if there are already junk removal companies there, then there is a market for it 👊🏽
Next would be to pay attention to how many trucks they have and what they charge, then it’s ON!
I see that they offer junk removal but don’t advertise on trucks. I do see a yellow box truck around a bit though🤔 not sure if its many. Could be them…i will see what they charge if they have a website!!
