08/29/17 Chris Pica and the Crew of the Reel Fun took California State University, Northridge Professor Dr. Larry Allen and friends including Catalina Island Marine Institute out on a mission to collect two Black Sea Bass for research and mission accomplished! The two BSB were transported back to the college and at a later date will be released back into the wild! A little bit of history....The Black Sea Bass fishery was closed in 1982 and it is still illegal to catch them today...but because of research studies, permits, Dr. Larry Allen, his Team and the Crew of the Reel Fun we'll be able to learn more about these amazing fish! Thanks to everyone that made this day possible.
