    All 3 brands have a DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem available for about $150USD, at this time. the images are older, or potentially the prototype, and it doesn't seem worth the "renewed" ones from Amazon. I would love to see a new competitor in the field, bring the cost to around the $100 price point. I recently purchased the Rock Space AX1800 router, and it is doing great, but I also know that my old modem is end of life, and due for an upgrade as well. Suggestions for Docsis 3.1 compatible with Comcast would be awesome.

    you should find a 4 port Tri-band beamforming AX wifi6 32x8 bonding with Telephony modem router.

    If you get a net gear you better hope you don't get a lemon. They don't like replacing faulty products. No matter your proof they'll keep blaming your internet provider.

    My primary concern in buying a DOCSIS 3.1modem is compatibility

      Check with your ISP, they will have a list of compatible modems with their service... I have Cox Cable as my ISP and I bought the MB8611 (better than the #1 on this list) as it's on the officially supported Cox list (it's a pretty long list to be fair)... no more rental fees for me.

    The MB8600 has only 1 ethernet port, not 4.

      The MB8600 has 4 ethernet ports that are capable of supporting WAN Link Aggregation. Currently the firmware (Xfinity) supports 2 ports for speed up to 2Mbits. It requires a router that also supports WAN LAG. With an ISP like Xfinity, you can achieve speeds of 1.2 Gbits/sec (with overprovisioning, 1.4 Gbits.sec).

      @wolfshanze5980 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jamess1314 Or you can just get the MB8611 that has a 2.5Gbit port, which is superior (and more modern) than link aggregation... it's the newer version of the MB8600 anyways.

      @@wolfshanze5980 That will probably be my next modem (assuming I stay with cable). But I've had the MB8600 for 3 1/2 years and my fastest download speed is 1.4 Gbits /sec.
