I’m am so glad I found your channel!! So tired of all the farmhouse decor channels and so great to find something different! Love your videos - keep them coming!!
just happened upon your channel randomly. you’re fantastic! excellent adaptable projects. DT does have some MCM influenced products. have you seen the three graduated size gold cone shaped metal candle stands? still looking for them but i’ll grab them if i find them. they had another votive holder last year, ribbed, very MCM. came in multiple colors. now i’ll be on the hunt for that plant saucer, beautiful and looked like cased glass when you finished. the votives you did the project with were reminiscent of the ruba rhombic glass pattern of the era. have not seen them in my store. a lot of the amber glass of that era was in the more orange tones ( see Viking Glass catalogs online) if you used perhaps golden oak stain it could be achieved, smoke brown as you used came later than MCM. your large trivet was brilliant, could even be framed, made any size, even made with a coordinating paint color to go with decor. just wonderful, thank you for the inspiration!
omg thanks Donna for this lovely comment!! I haven’t seen any of those at the Dollar Tree but I LOVE that each one has a different variety. I often go to a few in one day! :)
unbelievably, i just went to the DT today and instinctively hunted down one of those clear plastic saucers but couldn’t remember what it was for. hooray!
@@livingwithlk You make such unique pieces - it's great to see something that isn't beige/white (even though I like those too). You're an inspiration, LK - thank you!
I came looking for mid century modern. But I have to say, I hate it! I think my daughter might like it she is really into shapes in decore. I don't like the overly wood colors or the hideous green orange ect. I am Gen x so that might explain it.
🌵Have you seen or made any cool Mid Century Modern Dollar Tree DIYs?☀
