I think he is using double or triple stacato (like on trumpet), that's why he gets so incredible articulation. There's no other explanation , plus of course hard work.
He performs perfectly!! But if there were more jazzy ghost notes, it'd be beyond reach. He's great!! Amazing skill and phrases! Still under impression..
