You got to admire the huge gang murals and the time that went those murals . And how bold and out in the open they did them , makes you wonder are those murals still around or do the gangs now still do them like this
You definitely won't see gang graffiti like this anymore. These new millennial so called gangbangers are softer than a mf and are now PURPOSELY targeting women and kids,a death violation amongst mob members back in the day. They definitely still do them..but they don't last long...but if you go through the alleys they last a bit longer
Depends on the neighborhood and the gang. Most of the time something real detailed is go. A be in someone’s yard or garage if they really like that. If not it’s right outside somewhere everyone can see it.
Man back in the late 90s and early 90s the Darkkside Two Six had this big massive emblem over by 24th and Karpov, on the north side of the tracks. It was about 3 stories high and impossible for the opposition to tag it as it always had security on it. That shit was dope for its time.
Go to Pilsen you’ll def still see some big ones on buildings. Most times you’ll still see them in Mexican gang hoods in the alleys.

In 70s/80s, C-Notes had some best murals on streets..Mostly done by few specific members. One of them got offered art scholarship( which was rare in 70s for doing graffiti/murals), but unfortunately he got locked up shortly before college started
