It’s so nice to have someone like Carla, a Spanish speaker accompany Benji. We went to Sam’s Club and other places in Cancun & Playa Del Carmen and just relied on my high school Spanish. We survived 😂
Benji….totally LOVING all the grocery store videos in all the different places~it’s one of my favorite things to do when traveling as well. How nice to have Carla to explain the items to you too!
Growing up in Acapulco, my Abuelita would always buy skirt steak thin sliced for asada. Thanks for sharing these videos. Reminds me of home. 🇲🇽 Viva México! ❤
On the Big island of Hawaii we have organic options…but…most of the time it’s bruised, wilted and small. But speaking of, at our farmers markets a lot of the people buy fruits/veggies in bulk (not always from here) and repackage to re-sell. Usually papaya, apple banana, dragon fruit, coconut and mango and okinawan sweet potato is the only thing grown from the sellers other then seasonal items. Other markets depend on location around the island.
Other countries don't use pesticides and chemicals as much as the great USA so a concept like organic (don't get me started on marketing) and needing federal regulation via USDA to verify and hold companies accountable from poisoning the masses for profits is foreign to them.
Pears are either grown in Wa or Oregon. The climate is perfect to grow them!! OMG!! You are in a different country!!! Different rules!!!I I have seen the carrots here in SW WA! Yes tons of organic produce in Vancouver BC . They also have giant papayas in the Asian stores here!
Horchata is made by blending raw rice with cinammos sticks, sugar and water. Then you strain it with a cheesecloth or sieve and you drink only the liquid. 🤩🙌🏻
Agua de Jamaica or Hibiscus Tea is so incredibly good for you. It’s best without the sugar because of all the nutrients but if you decide to add sugar it’s absolutely delicious. 😍
Yes in trinidad we call it sorrel. It's a really delicious drink that's very popular around Christmas and served in ice. The same thing being different due to the geographical area is very cool/interesting
I saw those Oreos here at the grocery store in Toronto. In english the name was Space Dunk and the flavour is Cosmic Creme with Popping Candy although the picture looks different from the one i saw
Don Julio and Patrón and another brand named siete leguas is actually from the town Atotonilco el Alto it’s another tequila town but they didn’t want the Pueblo mágico name like tequila has for the tourist but highly recommend going! Also tequila in Mexico alcohol level is lower than the US so it doesn’t burn as much and more enjoyable by itself! Glad you’re liking my home town
Fruits and veggies in local mercados (markets) have always been organic from farmers in the surroundings, due to the climate variations from the different mountain chains in the country we have fresh fruit available all year round and they're also cheaper than Costco so I guess that explains the lack of, but if you go to a mercado the amount of fresh organic produce available is crazy, highly recommend to visit one and try the food!
Funny about the carrots. For carrots like those, I have to go to Asian or any other international food market. Those uniform carrots or even the baby carrots (which are actually regular carrots shaved into small cylinders) are common for the US market.
The makeshift conduit support in the market may not "seem like a big deal" but we "overregulate" in the states because we learn from mistakes like people getting really hurt and damaging property/businesses from a small accident like one of those posts being pushed over. Accidents are always waiting to happen and when they do the public loves to blame the government and sue each other.
Carne asada is usually beef flank. It’s hard to find good carne asada, i like the ones with dry rub if prepared. Ive had some in different states where they drown it in lemon and seasoning, not so good.
Hi again. We don't have a Costco in Oaxaca YET! Adults here really like cartoons...it's not just for the kiddies Grana Padano Cheese is indeed similar to Parmesano. It comes from the Po Valley and is made with Unpasturized Cow's Milk. Carla is quite right. In Oaxaca we make tacos dilled with Tuna or Sardines and oatmeal and onion. rolled in a tortilla and shallow fried in oil...yummy. Neither I nor my Mexican spouse have ever had Bubba Tea. We are 60 and 71 years old. It went westward in the 90s (I think) Jim Oaxaca
I love learning so much about mexican products! I didn't know elote meant just corn i thought it was grilled corn with mayo and cheese meant elote. How funny!🎉
Hi Benji I love watching your videos and my husband is from the state of veracruz mx and he says that over they actually do eat tacos with sour cream on them so yes you can have sour cream on your tacos!
fill a blender with frozen mangoes about 2/3 to 3/4 add one cup of tequila and fill the rest of the way with margaritas mix blend until smooth!!! Thank me later!!!
Im from Victoria BC Canada and we have lots of bubble tea ,one place that is popular here is called (The Bubble Tea Place) 😊 come visit the island one day
I’m in Ontario, Canada and while the grocery stores have some organic, it’s not nearly as much as what I see in your grocery vidoes! We have some speciality stores like “Goodness Me” which is specifically for more organic and vegan things. The price difference is insane though so I don’t buy organic that often!
The prices are sometimes the same or negligible depending on where the produce is coming from and whether it's in season: keep your eyes peeled when you're in your grocery store!
I didn’t know hibiscus tea is popular in Mexico and that you can eat it! I started drinking it regularly over a year ago for its many health benefits. It has over 400% of the antioxidants found in green or black tea. As well, it has no caffeine. I’m Canadian Chinese and I now drink hibiscus tea more frequently than green or black tea. I buy dry hibiscus through a Canadian tea company that sources it from Egypt (the tea has origins in Africa). 🌺 I’ve been consuming monk fruit regularly for a few years because it’s keto-friendly (usually in coffee, cooking and baking). I buy the Lakanto brand. They have a series of monk fruit products. Yes, bubble tea originated in Taiwan in the mid ‘80s. The first time I had bubble tea was in Hong Kong in 1996. A few years later, bubble tea shops started popping up in Toronto. So, it’s been popular in Toronto for about 25 years. 🇨🇦🧋
Ikr. Judy said Benji wouldn’t let himself be alone with another woman but him and Carla seem to hang out a lot just them two. They’re in a public place so I guess it’s fine idk it still feels iffy
Maybe she didn’t feel like going or maybe she’s also hanging out with other people. He’s obviously gone with Carla cuz she’s Mexican and can translate and explain what stuff is. Some of yall got trust issues lol
America and some other countries.. SHOULD NOT have an organic sticker.. Why should citizens need to decide feeding chemicals to their families if they don’t have the money??? Kinda cruel huh.. no one has ever taken this to any protest 🤔🤦🏼♀️
I love how Benjis curiosity and willingness to learn and try new things
Lol!! For someone who brags sooo much he knows nothing!! I guess that is how you turn out if you are sheltered all your life!
@@lilamk5 it’s better to be ask questions and know “nothing” than to act like a know it all.

I need a following like benji. These vlogs are so chill and simple
Grana Padano is my fav cheese. Super similar to Parmesan!! Made with unpasteurized cows milk which is only partially skimmed.
Benji, you're a great dad who has loving a wife and precious daughters. So blessed!!! 😊❤
I watch every video you film and the videos your wife shows. Thank you both for sharing . You have a beautiful family
Same!!! I never miss any!
Their videos i enjoy watching

we call the Jamica in Trinidad and it's call Sorrel
we boil it with spices, ginger, clove and bay leaf and make a drink with it with a splash of rum
That’s sounds amazing! I’ve only had it as tea (I’m part Mexican).
Yes I’m from Guyana South America and we drink it the same way
Yes in trinidad we call it sorrel. It's a really delicious drink that's very popular around Christmas and served in ice. The same thing being different due to the geographical area is very cool/interesting

I believe they took they characters away from things with excessive sugar amounts, which is kinda amazing tbh.
Thank you Benji! Really enjoying the Costco trips!
You can buy dried hibiscus (jamaica) flowers in natural food stores in North America
Most beneficial shopping trip i ever went. On 😊 whill sitting at home 💕
I love these videos! I watch them while I'm working and it's so entertaining and informative. Thanks Benji
In the West Indies we make a drink called Sorrel with the dried hibiscus. Absolutely delicious 😋

It’s on the opposite side of Guadalajara opposed to tequila :)
You dont have ro boil the Jamaica. Leave it soaking in a pitcher with your choice of sweetener.
I find it interesting that the high end liquor is not locked up and on the shelf but here in the USA it’s a whole production
We don’t steal it 😅
😆

that dobel truly is a gem, but honestly the kirkland brand of tequila reposado and tequila anejo are amazing too and super affordable!!
I’ll have to remember that thanks.
Benji, we have those carrots in Vancouver,BC, big and thick. It's all i buy
Funny about the carrots. For carrots like those, I have to go to Asian or any other international food market. Those uniform carrots or even the baby carrots (which are actually regular carrots shaved into small cylinders) are common for the US market.
Those Oreos are called Space Dunks. They pop like the pop rocks in your mouth. Bomb! My kids love them.
The hibiscus is actually Jamaican sorrel we boil it and sweeten it to make a juice that’s popular around Christmas time ….thats why it says Jamaica
Just learned something. Thanks.
Love from Jamaica 🇯🇲. I watch both channels all the time!
Poor Carla has to find the moon shine for Benji lol. Please just don't get the Cartel after you guys.
I love going to Costco for 9am open n hitting up the food court after my 4 am walk n bake on the weekends 🇨🇦🥶👽

Lotte is a korean brand not japanese! I saw these gummies in grocery store in South Korea, never tried it, maybe I should give it a try haha.
According to Wikipedia, “Lotte was founded in June 1948, by Korean businessman Shin Kyuk-ho in Tokyo, Japan.” So technically a Japanese brand.
Ok. Both are right and both taught me something new. Thank you.
Isnt arrachera falda just the Spanish name for skirt steak
lol I was going to type this. Lol
I’d love to see you at a Canadian Costco since you frequent Vancouver!
Abola? Its Abuela Benji! 😂
A city in veracruz does put sour cream on tacos. Mexico is so big that every region is different

You can make agua fresca with the hibiscus 🌺
Benji, the Don Julio 1942 Tequila is cheaper here in the US then. In our costco, we buy those for $120. ☺️
Why wouldnt you take the last watermellon Benji? 🤔🤨😂
Maybe he didn’t need any watermelon 🍉 lol plus the last one looked pretty old.
Mexican spicy snacks, candies are my fav & the best out there.
I love corn tortillas wow I would get the fresh corn tortillas! I bet they are so good! Fresh is always better! The fewer ingredients the better!❤
El Amo Resposado is an amazing tequila!! must try, I can't find it anywhere in the states
In the states you won’t find Arrechera steak, it would be either flank steak 🥩 or skirt steak 🥩
I always wondered what’s at different Costco Thanks Benji 😊

When I was in College my friends used to buy Tequila Ramcho Escondido you can found it in OXXO
as soon as benji mention the cheap booze
i was thinking tonaya and karla said it 😂😂😂
The produce looks just like the fruit in Aldi 😮
Lots of bubble tea in Australia ❤❤
Queso Oaxaca for quesadillas.
Loved this video!
Carne asada is normally used with skirt steak 🥩
Grana padana is a parmesan cheese i know cause i used to watch Lydia cooking show an she always used that 😂
I thought that too. Weird it didn’t say it on package.
Even india has bubble tea not as good but still has some version of it.😂❤
The package is called jamaica because it originates in jamaica
its in Dili Timor leste called mercardo too😅
The cheese is similar to parmigiano
Benji who were these groceries for?
We don't have costco in India... I love watching your costco videos and hope they open one in India soon.....
Maybe one day!
honeycrisp apples are "copyright" apples, you aren't allow to grow/sell without permission. Same as "pink lady" here in EU and others.
Same with Parmesan. Has to be from Parma.

Wow. Thank you for sharing.
This man is going to get IBS at the end of this year eating all the crazy stuff.
Oh no! Don’t say that!
Mercado is like palenque😊
The reason México took the cartoons from the cereals is actually because of the obesity in kids ..I guess if it looks cute they will like to eat it ..
