Yeah because Jodi likes conversing and discussing in general. I love the otv peeps but there are some people who if they don't like the topic or they don't know anything about it they won't try to form a conversation about not a knock on those people but they're just not made for podcasts

I don't think we should make TV shows based on serial killers. I think it is very disrespectful towards the victims and their families to turn their suffering into entertainment.
I think an argument can be made for making documentaries that just document the facts but making a whole TV show about the serial killer, worshipping the serial killer, romanticising the serial killer and giving an award to the person who played the serial killer is just spitting on the victims.

Im with Jodi on the date age. You don't want to date someone who is too young (18 to 22 maybe). they are too gullible and everyone who thinks themself as mature are just lying.
Experience need to be gained and especially with people your age when young, otherwise you are being influenced by older people with different views of life who may be really bad for your individual development as a person.
8 years older seems reasonable but it's tricky on 30+, there are really a lot of circumstances for everyone on that age and people can be on different stages of their lives. You are not young enough to party like a 20+ but enjoy other kind of activities that can be hard to share with someone not on your age range.

I'm 29 and I wouldn't date someone younger than 25 simply because of the reason on how much I myself changed during the time between 18 and 25. So in my mind if I date a 18 year old that I like, there is a high chance that I will not like after a couple of years because she changed so much. I might as well try to find 25 year old and older because they won't change as much anymore.

i think when they make a show of a serial killer, they become characters rather then just being a actual horrible human being that did terrible things, i can get behind documentary and using clips to reenact some parts of the crime, but as a tv series, they all just become characters. ppl would clip the show and use filter and post it on tumblr and make fanfics and shit its weird.

So in a sitcom Brodin would be like a stan lee cameo. That’d be hilarious, would love to see.

22:24 Yeah, I've always been like this, I would hang out with my parents' friends and coworkers often, since I was really young, and I think that just helped me learn now to meet people older than me, which is especially useful in middle and high school, teaching you how to interact with people in higher grades, as well as staff members, which of course can translate to college, and career opportunities

The sitcom that toast described is just big bang theory, and should be classified as self harm

For the first topic, it being a “show” made the way it was reduced the severity for me. I’m not sure if it was because I was watching breaking bad before it, but I had to keep reminding myself that this was something that actually happened. Because it kept on feeling like it wasn’t real and like any other nonfiction tv show or movie. Because of that uncomfortable feeling, I stopped watching it.
I would prefer to watch a retelling of the events from a narrator or documentary series because with those I can truly acknowledge it was a true story. Not entirely sure why I was like that, but that’s the best I could put into words.

I think Jodi is referring to the Sleepwalking case. It was on Hulu and the family of the girl that was killed was against it.
