who doesn't enjoy Greg's videos , I know I do I love em ! and the Faithfull Finn ! for those that are complaining go watch something else I reckon . Greg was the reason I went and bought a Bradley smoker absolutely love that thing .all the best from the UK
(Wife typing) I stumbled upon your channel and have been binge watching for myself (Alone has been one of my favorite shows, but the built-up drama was always annoying), when my 5 boys also started watching. Now we're all obsessed! Thank you SO MUCH for the wholesome, educational, genuine information on this channel. You've enamored and inspired 5 little boys in Midwest, USA.
I think one of the reason you have such a great fan base is because YOU truly do these challenges. Like you said it’s not just showing us viewers what can be done. You come up with different challenges for yourself. Life is an adventure & all about adapting & changing. Great video. Looking forward to watching more. Tell our 4 legged friend we say hi. ❤. Life is always better with a doggie. 🐶🐾
Another great great video Greg might take a day or two but I check them all out have fun from Virginia and give ole Finn pats a scratch’s for me. Be safe have a great adventure 🙂👍be waiting for the next one
I just thought, “I want to watch Greg Ovens this morning.” I turn on my iPad and there he is with a new video. I’ll have to wait until this afternoon, I’ll wait. 😊
God bless you brother you appear to be the real deal. I am a Peace corps volunteer lived in the jungle of kosrae. Been chased by witch doctors in the night. By the grace of God I am still here. Keep up the good work you rock bro.
I love your channel and I love every one of your videos showing us how to survive with just what we may have laying around in our vehicle or washed up on shore during a hurricane etc etc etc 💚🌎🇺🇸💗🇨🇦 Haters gonna hate but who cares 😻
Omg...so glad to have found your channel..what a relief to see some 'real' living and a break from all the 'civilized' bs going on in the news... Thank you .. your channel is salve to my soul...
I love the minimal gear videos because the tendency is always to take too much or cover every need, which defeats the whole purpose of increasing skills in the bush. I can, however, already think of multiple-purpose uses for shrink wrap, especially for windy rains and pine bough shelters and also for windbreaks. Loved this video and looking forward to Part 2.
I love you Greg and Finn! I just rewatched Alone season 3 and literally cheered you on with my fiancé! We both love you and are destroyed over the outcome of your challenge. We will be supporting your channel for life and hope to cross paths with you in the bush someday!!
Randy I really like your profile picture and if you let me, I would make such an amazing mural out of it! If you don’t mind one of your post could be my inspiring muse for an art project i’m working on for a client. You will totally get paid for it as well as a bonus also get credits.
Always a pleasure to see another upload from you, Greg! Thank you for all your hard work, these videos of yours are very educational and informative. More people need to see them. All the best. :-D
Discovered your videos a few weeks ago and been binge watching since. I watch a lot of these type of videos and you're one of my favourites. Keep it up mate. Love from the UK
some people get the wrong type of wrap there's different kinds for different purposes and the ones that are sticky are typically for using on plates and the ones that aren't are for wrapping foods directly

HI Greg and Finn :) always watching for your vids, I live in the bush and like watching you teach everyone and nice to read others are reaping the rewards of watching !!
Just got back from a visit to Maine, was there from the beginning of April. Insane temperature swings ( 21 degrees F at night to 104 degrees F during the day). I lived through every season but mud season. No running water, refrigeration or fresh food, but loads of gnats, black and yellow flies, chiggers and ticks. I thought that being an older woman, constantly foraging for food, wood and water would actually do me in. However, I have learned so much from you I began to thrive instead of just survive. Back home in Washington State, and so glad to see your smiling face!
It's been too long Greg! Waiting here down in South Africa. Your lifestyle and videos are such an inspiration! Always lifts my mood...keep it up, stay safe and healthy sir 👊🏽
Very interesting video. I thought mid-way through that the saran wrap hammock looked like it could work in a survival medic station. I'm looking forward to the second part of this video. Stay safe Greg and Finn. Blessings to you both.
Hope your tailbone healed! You can stretch your tailbone by laying flat on your back and pulling one knee up to your chest and holding it for 10 seconds and then your other knee up to your chest and holding it for 10 seconds then both knees at the same time. This is also a hip & hamstring etc stretch. Excellent for lower back pain, psyatic nerve down the leg, hip pain etc. and your tailbone is the bottom of your spine 💗
I’m gonna make a suggestion, I think Greg should have a chest rig or a face cam so he can go hands free like when fishing and climbing. Can be worn on the chest like a loose harness so it can be worn over a t shirt or under a jacket. The head mounted cam can be a great way to catch stuff being done with hands or fishing and driving etc etc 👍
Hey Greg, coming to you from the UK, I stumbled across your channel and you have very quickly become my favourite creator on the platform. I'm from a country where we have more rain then any other form of wether. I would like to see you do some bigger shelters over a 30 day challenge where rain is a common occurrence. Give fin a pat for me.
I've been watching survival videos for years. I don't plan on surviving in the wilds too much but I do plan to travel great distances and stay at powered camp sites wherever I end up. Time for the next phase of my life. Time to sell it all for a van!
Been saying this for years. Saran wrap is extremely versatile as a survival/emergency item, absolutely more so than duct tape or paracord. Waterproof, windproof, tough, can make walls, windows, roofs, cordage, it's one of the few things that can actually stop bleeding from the femoral artery at the hip. It's cheap and not too heavy or bulky in your pack for what it can achieve. I have a deer hunting blind that has stood for at least 5 years made of the stuff and it's still looking nearly as clear the day I built it. I've also used it when I was doing framing and roofing to protect customers property when unexpected storms came up. An underappreciated material to say the least.
That industrial wrap is amazing stuff. Used to ship alot of weird shaped metalwork, solar panels and electronics, that was pretty hard to palletise, 3d tetris. The straps were usually just there to hold it in place until you got wrap on, that did 80% of the securing. Never had anything damaged in shipment. You can get pretty creative with it.
I paid utilities yesterday $109 the largest bill this year. Whenever I watch your videos I feel like I am getting away with something. I know just how spoiled I am living with water, sewer, power, some would say I'm not at all spoiled I'm living in poverty. I was raised with a single mom and 2 siblings. I know hunger and limited selection. I look at thing different than most because I also was a trucker OTR. I lived most of the time off grid. When you love OG you really appreciate the power water sewer.
My friend has a cabin out in Noelville on the french river about an hour some change from sudbury. we would go there every summer to hangout. It like a second home for us out there. we are both from the states after finding your channel man it makes it feels like I’m there again. Keep up the great work Greg!
Beautiful scenery, fun video, good fishing bait idea, saw others use squid before in fresh water and chicken in ocean, but not lake, this is another good tip, I missed it on the items list so thanks for showing us, videos make us think to become more resourceful, Fin is awesome.
I realy like thses challange/innovative ideas you come up with :) very fun, you never know what kind of random stuff you are stuck with out there in a survial situation.
Holy crow that was a big rainbow trout , it's oh , I almost got it , I think I got him , no I don't but I'll come back later in the day. 😂 You gotta love Greg Ovens he's an awesome person , right on Man 💯👍😂🤣🤣
My dream is to pass away quietly in the wilderness all I can do is wait. I served in army field unit( drilled in the woods fort drum) I realized I’d rather pass away in woods not in a building. Can you relate? I was raised by mountain men.
@@OvensRockyMountainBushcraft I’m a 62 yr old female. I use to think at age 11 my father was a harsh man. My male family members hunted in Maine. Hunting with him was rough. But my experience gave me a gift. Falling asleep in woods just waking up at dusk before my body started to move. My eyes witnessed an owl quietly sailing in the sky. My dad walked far into woods. Other men didn’t like hunting as hard as he did.
Greg gives a metaphorical statement “And dust you shall return.” I once had spiritual eyes that saw only punishment. Now I see truth beauty and love. His appearance seems as though he has already passed into GODS CREATION. IT means peace and humility. Acceptance of things we can not change. I want to return. I’m not afraid. I just feel love. I’m ready when it’s my time. Greg has just given me a path.
If Greg says he wants something to be his surprise--- you can bet the editor will ruin it LOL they always like to chop Greg's videos up and speed each scene up so you feel like you have 5 seizures each video 😅 but that isn't Greg's fault- they should just show us what he films so we can spend time with him in the woods like we want to do and learn his skills...not chop it all up n make ya dizzy.. it's like those who edit Zach's videos are not even on the same planet as the one who edits Greg's yet its all same edit room 💔 maybe someday Greg's videos will be edited less and by someone who leaves surprises as surprises and that let us watch his kindling gathering and fire building and all the scenes of him fishing on shore LOL is that too much to ask again n again - we want more Greg (& Fin!!!) and let him surprise us as clearly intended... You're not going to find a two-part video on Fowler's page when they're only 20 minutes each.... This could have been a two-part video-- each one being one hour...and a surprise to guess at....🏕️🌎
know what drank to many beers and too a annoyed by the ad, I am gonna go to sleep, i will watch the cool dude tomorrow. And hope i see fin. beautiful doggo ah. :) fin should be in every video possible.
Need another 30 day challenge with Fowler. That was the best. I watched all of them on both channels. Legendary
