i would LOVE to see an 'old school' themed kit. landline phones, typewriters for writing off the grid, newspaper delivery. i think it would add a classic feel back to the game.

The one thing that’s really bugging me right now is that the fence doesn’t have a white swatch when a lot of the other items do, same with the short wall door 😅
Yes! I’d understand if nothing came in white, but for the spandrels to ONLY come in white and then the fences and door don’t... I’m just confused 😂

A small distinction here, but she matches her lights to her shirt. She wears whatever shirt she wants, and then changes the color of the lights, not the other way around.

I honestly think it would make for some good accents in a home, not go full Moroccan but maybe use the tile walls for a bathroom or kitchen back splash, the couch and the chairs would be cute even if used right in a suburban home and then the plants are just overall great.

This comment is the exact reason why it annoys me if anyone complains about how "pointless" this kit is. It's not pointless. They are expanding and trying to branch out in different ways. First with the asian inspired and now this and its AWESOME!

As a Moroccan i rlly like how they made this kit . It looks like a real Riad except the couches.
After watching the maxis stream I'm so happy about how hard they worked to make it good. They tried really hard to make it authentic and appealing to simmers

I am in love with this pack! It is so well made and beautiful!!! To me, the sims team really outdid themselves they are getting a lot better especially since the pack that shall not be named!
Tbh even the first build and buy and CAS kits are so nicely done. The only buggy one was the bust the dust kit (which doesn’t even surprise me because well...? It’s gameplay, the aspect they’ve been lacking for years). I don’t even know why people are acting as if the previous build and buy mode kit is bad and then like “what are we expecting??”. Um, a lot? Because the country kitchen kit was BEAUTIFUL.

"stealing" implies that you are being obligated to buy the game through dishonest means on EA's end. If you don't want courtyard oasis, that's valid and you absolutely do not have to buy it. I think simmers forget or like to act like that isn't a factor. Every sims pack that comes out it is the players choice whether or not to buy.

I hate that they never use the same black or white color for all items. Like how difficult is it to implement in your texture/shading pipeline...
Quite difficult when you have multiple artists working independently on such a big project but certainly not impossible
@@char1211 I don't think it would be hard at all, they would just need to have half decent planning and give any artist a production bible of sorts that contains a hex code for basic swatches. Imo they should have three or four wood swatches, a white, and a black for almost any furniture at a base level.
@@RosieMe5 I'm coming at this from a programmers perspective and knowing how much documentation and communication is needed to make all programmers use the same logic etc I would assume trying to ensure all artists use the exact same shade of black to be a lot of work as well. Especially if you consider artists tend to be even more separated from each other than programmers. Just establishing some hex codes wouldn't be enough since the same shade can look different on different objects depending on their shape/material/size and the less independent each artist/team can be the longer it will take for them to finish their work.
@@char1211 Im from a vfx company, and it would be pretty easy to achieve. Our textures always publish renders using the exact same template for all assets made. So a mismatch in color/hue/saturation would be visible right away from the texturer. They could also simply use reference from 1-3 objects in the same lighting scenario to be sure their colors are right. Yes it needs a library of assets and time, but like it would be worth it and useful for all future packs, even future generation of their games.

Add Spanish/Andalusian to that! There's a local centre for Andalusian people and the garden looks nearly exactly like that

That one lamp that kayla was sizing up and down looks kinda like a cool candle sized down.
I've been asking for Moroccan for years. The doors and tiles are more than I expected, but the couches and tables could have been better.. I am fine with them, but for the coffee table for example, I think it would serve well to have a large coffee table and a smaller coffee table, because that table isn't appropriately sized.

Yeah I think the idea of the kits having different architecture styles would be great for the builders. Like you said, I am mostly a builder and I would love that so much! They could could do more clothing kits too for people who like CAS more, or a kit of playable things. They don't all have to fit everyones likes.

One thing I think would be kinda cool is if you could buy the furniture you like from a pack. Like those plants from paranormal... I would never buy the full pack but I would buy those. Or the fountain from this kit, I'd love that but I'd never use the rest of it.

I hope at some point if they release more kits they do bundles (though none of the current kits make sense to bundle together) I don't think $5 is too much for this specific kit or country kitchen but the dust bust one no thank you. I do agree it seems to be filling out niche groups and I like that and hope a kit comes out that I am willing to actually buy lol. I do love this look and wish I was more of a builder so I could use it and I might get it at some point. I am also getting Sims 3 store flashbacks and ugh I get it EA you want our money haha

I don't really care much for any of the packs so far but this one is definitely the nicest design wise. Im iffy on buying them unless I love everything that's in it and I know id never use any of the items in them but I'm excited to see what new ones come out

Every time people complain about the Sims 4 packs and say that the Sims 3 was so much better in that regard I remember the cursed Sims 3 store and ask myself if they have forgotten about it.
This is such a large Kit, I’m surprised it didn’t come out as a stuff pack. When you look back comparing some stuff packs to this one.

It always comes back to the price. Totally agree that kits are 1/3 of the content for 50% of the price. No matter what theme or how creative it is, the price is off.

@@0777coco I mean styles in Jungle Adventure and City Living are also inspired by real cultures. Morocoo style is somewhat in between those styles I think?
When someone goes on vacation and see a building they can say "oh it reminds me of this place from another country, but with a twists".

When you sized down the lantern with the flame, I actually quite like it! It looks like an open flame oil lamp. Bit of a strange shape but I think it works

I'm honestly so thankful for Journey to Batuu bc it broke me out of the habit of being a 'completionist'. i used to buy every pack for the sims, but that pack cured me. now, i don't buy nearly as much from EA and use/make custom content instead. thank you Journey to Batuu!

Idrk how I feel about the whole "kit" aspect of packs in the game, like it's cool but I feel like there gonna release so many kits that it will get a bit like jumbled up and like messy in the sims. I think the price of kits would have been a lot more worth it if they for example teamed up with CC creators on them. Lots of CC creators already make kits, and I definitely wouldn't hesitate to buy a 5$ pack if I knew that CC creators, who already give me so much for free, had collaborated and got a lot of that money.
