I really wish that every time we were given a wallpaper, there was also a swatch that lets us customize what kind of crown moulding there is with it -- or just having none entirely.

Yess! To be honest, though the Eco Lifestyle and Dream Home Decorator packs have items of a nice modern style, I feel like lately we were getting a bit too much of it and needed something new/different.
Same I like it, but I was shocked to see how little it came with. I really wish they would put more items. Like they could have put a bed and dresser at least, cause now we can’t match the bedroom to the living room style and that’s disappointing

I definitely think The Sims needed these wallpapers! There's such a lack of fun wallpapers, and like it's so common in the UK for you to have a statement wall, and these are very statement wall!
I think Simsie needs to build a house for each gen in not so berry, kinda lika solid color challange, like a Mint house, red, orange pink ect. And for the Mint one (also for Pink one, love the Pink swatches) she could use this pack! Just an idea!

If I had one note for the Sims team it would be this, and I swear that one little thing would change everyones relationships with build-buy forever with no need for color wheel or create a style... please provide basic swatches of everything. Like, if the swatches have a design with a particular color in it, please for the love of all that is holy give us a solid version with just that one color in it. That would change my whole world honestly lol Also I'm loving all the items way more than I thought I would. I think the thing I am most excited for is that frame, all the money is worth it for that frame alone. You can take a wall with a trim that doesn't match and replace it with one that does match. Perfection. That in EVERY color please. Also some basic trims that aren't frames that we could overlay similarly would be fantastic. Different styles of trims would change things up so much
I was just thinking to myself that the frame would be genuinely almost worth the price of the kit alone ... if it had wood tones. And a billion of them at that.

That illusion piece alone...I feel like someone in the studio had the idea and sacrificed so much time and energy to make it happen. I hope they're proud of themselves, because it's phenomenal.
I'm really glad almost all the pieces have more neutral swatches that you could easily fit into more tame room styles. The more hectic combined rooms in their promos and styled rooms give me Howl's Moving Castle vibes, of Howl's bedroom

Currently doing a project on Art Deco and the attitude of this pack is very much that of Art Deco with the bright colours and patterns. It has some pieces and patterns that don't quite fit but the celebration of life and glamour is totally there. I love it.
That's the only kit I'm really excited about! There's some colors I wish some item had like.. Mustard yellow, or terracotta orange. I think some items could also be more dark, not necessarily black. So I hope some cc creators are gonna recolor the items. Overall, I think even without recoloring, there's so much fun things you can do with this kit. I already have a lot of ideas for bars, restaurants, appartements
i love this kit, i was so excited when it first came up on the menu screen and had the countdown😭 my grammie has lived in victorian village in downtown columbus for my whole life so i spent a lot of my childhood surrounded by this sort of style. i’ve tried to build so many inspired homes based off her little townhouse. i loooove that mix of bohemian orientalist maximalism with traditional antique style decor. the absolute best imo.
im so tired of kits, i want more regular packs :( theres nothing wrong with the items that come in the kits and in fact i love the blooming rooms kit but its just so much new content that i have no interest in
i’m so excited for this!! i LOVE wallpaper, that one wallpaper with the banana leaves features in every house i build, i can absolutely see myself using every single thing in this kit, especially when decorating bedrooms and adding some personality into them for the sim
The peacock sculpture might be my favorite item cause it looks like the one from sims 2 and I liked putting it in all my houses even though I wasn't a Sims 2 veteran
OMG I swear I got teary eyed as a builder! The wainscoting panels to turn any wall paper into that! OMG!!! And I love the new mirror and the rugs and the wall papers and OMG just all of it! All of this will go so well with Paranormal and Vintage Glamour and Get Famous!!! I love that they referenced some seriously iconic, famous pieces of decor... especially the lamp and ceiling light and the circle of infinity!!! I'm speechless! I never thought we'd get such a cool kit!!!
oh my god the detachable wainscoting has just saved my sims building career. i've been trying to build cute london-style townhouses which often have wainscoting on the walls but we have such a limited number and range of swatches when it comes to wallpapers like that. now i absolutely have to get this this kit asap. seems awesome otherwise too, i love the b&b items from city living and get famous and these look like they'll match the vibe of those packs perfectly
This kit is the most Sims related content ever. I LOVE having character in my houses, and I'm a 100% sure I'm gonna use something from it on every single house. Sims 4 needs more wackiness and silliness.
I'll be honest - this is the first kit I'm considering buying. To me it's got eccletic mom energy with all the exotic prints and funky colors and I'm here for it :D
@21:25 - Coming from The Sims 3 Store, I'd have to say the Kits are a good deal. A CAS set in the Kit range (21-26 items) would generally set you back $9-$15 US, with item sets in the 20 item range generally $7-$12. Individual gameplay items (ala Bust the Dust) would be $4-$7. And the small-set markup (since there is a certain base level of resources needed to create them that doesn't change whether you're designing 25 or 75 items) that puts you at 1/3rd the items of a Stuff Pack for 1/2 the price isn't too unreasonable.
This is when much that I love the channel, Kayla and I have polar opposite decor taste. I can't make anything from Dream Home Decorator work in my Sims houses because I just don't do modular, and meanwhile I use the Paranormal decor all the time. I can't wait to mix these with the Paranormal furniture! I've been dying for chinoiserie inspired wallpaper in the Sims for ages.
I like the style of this kit! One of those pre-made rooms reminds me of Chinese banquet-style restaurants. The swatches are colorful, but not gaudy or tacky-looking like build stuff from older packs.
Oooh seeing the wall frames, I was immediately sold on this kit. If the Sims team wanted to do a really amazing update, they could add wainscoting, floor molding, and crown molding to the build mode (think like "add flooring" to rooms, but with wall details, or draw them on like half walls and fences). It would make problem details, like when you have a room that's ceiling is open to the next floor, and you see the crown and floor molding of your choice paint color making a line across the wall or when you have two wallpapers you want to use, but they have moldings that don't match in height or color, become nonexistent!
Dangit Simsie, I've been refusing to buy kits on principal but your excitement gets me excited lol. Also, this kit is actually really cute. I wish it was a CC creator who made it instead so I could support them, but you know... kits.
im not even a builder but the wainscoting sold me, i tend to use the same few walls because so many are just... iffy, so having a way to make the basic paint swatches look fancier is amazing, especially when im trying to build a more expensive house, its a good money sink
mix this with the paranormal stuff pack and vampires (maybe?) and you can create the perfect gaudy, superstitious grandma's house with trinkets and stories (and possibly storyline)
I renovated the 121 Hakim House apartment with this kit. Along with paranormal and mosquito. They go together like an absolute dream and I love this kit
I love this kit. I want my happy vampires live in a place where they never think about to get outside. They deserve a vivid space extravaganza to live in, where the interior don't remind them that they are technically dead.
Does anyone else have an “uh oh” moment when Kayla actually likes the kit and says she’s going to use it a lot and your thinking to yourself “do I buy for her builds or do I not”… anyone else?
Maximalism is my favourite style of home decorating, and it's genuinely been a delight watching all the Simmers be a little apprehensive when they first see the pack and all talk about how fun all the furniture and designs are. Maximalism is amazing.
I used to have a square infinity mirror when I was a kid - it’s so weird to see one in The Sims. I forgot they even existed until this new pack came out lol
I wasn't sure about this kit at first...but when I looked at some of the individual items, I decided to get it...I have totally fallen in love with this kit...been working on a eclectic Victorian home...it was the wonderful inspiration to making this home awesome and look like some gaudy Victorian style homes I have seen...I soooo want to live in my house for real! LOL It is totally not my style, but I have grown to fall in love with it as my mind added each item with the history behind it in my mind...like who it was handed down from and such...and the touches the family added to update and make the house their own and workable for their family........once the home is done, I will have to figure out the family it is for! LOL
I haven't been all that keen on kits. Haven't got any so far but this I want. I love the tiger and bird and flowers wallpaper, the rugs and the couch so much. The bird statue would please my mansion baron sims so much.
The answer to all the neutrals in dream home decorator. I know most of the Sim tubers aren’t a fan of this pack because of the “busy “style. But I absolutely love this. Like I love vaporwave and this pack gives me the opportunity to really create a totally vaporwave home. With all the pinks and turquoise. That tiger couch is now my favorite couch in the game I swear. Honestly simsie if you could do a vaporwave house I would be so happy
I had a rough day, and I was counting down the minutes until I could get in bed and watch a lilsimsie video. Thank you, Kayla, for everything you do ❤️ You make bad days better
i feel like they've done a great job at making this versatile honestly! the great thing about a maximalist kit is that you don't _need_ to use all the items at once, and while the patterns can be a bit out there they've also included some good less extreme swatches. i haven't bought any kits so far just because they haven't really fit my build style enough for me to feel it was worth it but i can actually see myself using these!
I love your presentation! It's so authentic and feels natural. PS.: those flower/bird wallpapers are awesome and the reason I bought the pack, the orange one reminded me of Cosette's room in the Les Miserables 2012 movie and I use it for all my houses in my mid 1800 safe.
I can already tell this kit and paranormal will be a dream team and I'm very excited for that

I loveee the wallpapers and I hope they pair well with base game walls to use as accents. Sometimes the baseboards don’t line up and it breaks me 🥲
i love this kit, i was so excited when it first came up on the menu screen and had the countdown😭 my grammie has lived in victorian village in downtown columbus for my whole life so i spent a lot of my childhood surrounded by this sort of style. i’ve tried to build so many inspired homes based off her little townhouse. i loooove that mix of bohemian orientalist maximalism with traditional antique style decor. the absolute best imo.
im so tired of kits, i want more regular packs :( theres nothing wrong with the items that come in the kits and in fact i love the blooming rooms kit but its just so much new content that i have no interest in
I know, right?
i’m so excited for this!! i LOVE wallpaper, that one wallpaper with the banana leaves features in every house i build, i can absolutely see myself using every single thing in this kit, especially when decorating bedrooms and adding some personality into them for the sim
I never thought we'd get such a cool kit!!!
i actually ADORE this kit omg!!! the items are gorgeous im going to be using them all the time
The circle art piece is super cool! It would be awesome if it had some interesting moodlets or backstory like the sad clown painting
I love the boldness. I myself enjoy bright colors and patterns. Can't wait to get home from work so I can purchase this.
oh my god the detachable wainscoting has just saved my sims building career. i've been trying to build cute london-style townhouses which often have wainscoting on the walls but we have such a limited number and range of swatches when it comes to wallpapers like that. now i absolutely have to get this this kit asap. seems awesome otherwise too, i love the b&b items from city living and get famous and these look like they'll match the vibe of those packs perfectly
I wish there were plain wallpapers to match the colours and moulding so you could do an accent wall. Maybe CC creators will come to the rescue
And the small-set markup (since there is a certain base level of resources needed to create them that doesn't change whether you're designing 25 or 75 items) that puts you at 1/3rd the items of a Stuff Pack for 1/2 the price isn't too unreasonable.
hey queen! love you! so glad to see your growth and how happy you are!
I LOVEEE this pack. I’m very into eclectic/bold rooms. I love lots of colors & excitement!!
not a fan of kits but i do love love love this style of furnishing, it's so fun!
vintage glamour, paranormal & this pack = perfect match
This is the first kit that I will definitely buy. I would buy it for the wallpapers alone, but the other pieces are good too.
AHHH I’m on break and you uploaded while I was considering the kit. Great timing.
When Simsie has multiple good things to say about a kit you know the Sims team did an excellent job
The sims really think they are doing something with these kits 😭
i actually like this one, the patterns are wacky but the furniture like shapes and sizes are nice.
I don’t even mind some of the content it’s just the swatches, the sims be dropping kits that have swatches that look like they’re from the 2000’s.
Dangit Simsie, I've been refusing to buy kits on principal but your excitement gets me excited lol. Also, this kit is actually really cute. I wish it was a CC creator who made it instead so I could support them, but you know... kits.
The sims team really did good with this Kit! I actually really like it
im not even a builder but the wainscoting sold me, i tend to use the same few walls because so many are just... iffy, so having a way to make the basic paint swatches look fancier is amazing, especially when im trying to build a more expensive house, its a good money sink
mix this with the paranormal stuff pack and vampires (maybe?) and you can create the perfect gaudy, superstitious grandma's house with trinkets and stories (and possibly storyline)
I renovated the 121 Hakim House apartment with this kit. Along with paranormal and mosquito. They go together like an absolute dream and I love this kit
Put a long modern window behind the frame it might look good
i’m so excited for this kit actually this is exactly my vibe
Need this kit to make Izzy Fabulous a penthouse apartment.
Maximalism is amazing.
this might be the first kit i actually want
I'm literally in love with that glass table! literally my fav thing in this kit!
LOL
I don’t play the Sims, but I love your videos.
simsie I dare you to only use this kit, paranormal, vintage glamour and bas game to decorate an apartment
I'm a very maximalist type of person so this is actually a kit I will use A LOT.
I haven't been all that keen on kits. Haven't got any so far but this I want. I love the tiger and bird and flowers wallpaper, the rugs and the couch so much. The bird statue would please my mansion baron sims so much.
It would be so cool if they had spiral staircases to put the swirly rug underneath
I love the way you video before you even download the kit, builds the excitement 😂😭
this is exactly my "style" with sims builds so i LOVE it!!
I am so excited for this kit! As an artist, I LOVE bold designs and color. I feel like I can really connect with this kit.
I love this kit. Definitely going to buy it!!
i feel like they've done a great job at making this versatile honestly! the great thing about a maximalist kit is that you don't _need_ to use all the items at once, and while the patterns can be a bit out there they've also included some good less extreme swatches. i haven't bought any kits so far just because they haven't really fit my build style enough for me to feel it was worth it but i can actually see myself using these!
Make a build with just using kits!!!
I love your presentation! It's so authentic and feels natural. PS.: those flower/bird wallpapers are awesome and the reason I bought the pack, the orange one reminded me of Cosette's room in the Les Miserables 2012 movie and I use it for all my houses in my mid 1800 safe.
