They must’ve gotten CC creators to help out with this one because this is such a huge step in the right direction for EA especially after they collabed with CC creators to give us free stuff in an update in the past
ALSO Bob and Eliza’s bed literally snaps apart so either we’re getting the same thing with the sofas (couches) or we’re getting both beds as a single and a double

I think that was a nod to how they joked earlier that they had a healthy relationship, then showing her separating the bed as a nod to the fact that they are in fact, a very stressed marriage. So while I hope that the option is added either in the pack or soon, it was very likely just a visual joke. (The configure thing not the single/double thing which is more likely).

Aint gonna lie: the Sims team is making huge progress. It took them idk 7 years or smt but finally they're listening to us!
I feel that for so many years they were trying too many things and had no real target audience. Finally, they've realized the audience for the Sims 4 are those who build, and secondarily do bizzare rulesets and challenges
Not so much life simmers, or the rare player that likes story packs, or whatever. Actual gameplay and stuff to build with
they dont. nobody asked for it. we have bb.enablefreebuild cheat since premiere, but what we dont have is occults, farming, hobbies

Bunk beds being unfinished on release but being part of this pack definitely makes me feel like fans *asking* for bunk beds didn't really factor into it--like they always intended to make bunk beds in this pack (the old "this was a good opportunity to add them" line the Simgurus sometimes use), and they released them unfinished because we were loud, and it was an opportunity to look like the good guys doing us a favour (when it was actually a cynical business decision all along).
It sort of confirms for me that Maxis doesn't really consider fan requests when making a pack (we've been asking for cars since 2014, and farms since AT LEAST Cats & Dogs), they just do what they want to do, which is something I've suspected for a while, but now seems pretty hard to deny.
Laughing at Simsie's fangirling moments, while trying to pretend I'm not fangirling as well. 🤣

It honestly looks really cool how they showed that pop up screen that gives you the design guidelines and budget. I hope it’s as good as it looks! The furniture looks awesome. One of my biggest problems with TS4 is the lack of nice furniture that you can match.

Totally agree on the swatches but they all looked good in the trailer so fingers crossed all colours actually match each other.....
THIS. THIS is the pack that shows the team is listening. I think paranormal did as well, but this pack goes above and beyond. They added core features to gameplay, room for creativity, new extremely customizable furniture (and ALOT of it), looked at a core element of the game so many sims 4 players like (building), new pieces like separate stove tops and curved couches and so so so much more. I am so beyond proud and excited for this pack. If every pack was like this, the game would be basically revolutionary in terms of life simulation games. I really, really hope they see how well this pack is and that the revenue from it reflects that. That way they can lean off of it and continue to make better content.
Now, just like Kayla wanting separate stove tops for realism, I want hanging microwaves SO badly. So even if it doesn’t come to the game, if anyone knows of any cc creators who have made these please let me know! It would help me SO much with this pack.

I really appreciate that too! It's good to be critical of a game, and she herself also critiques the sims 4, but dang it it's so fun to watch someone else who's just purely excited about a game as much as you yourself are!
Especially in this community, where it sometimes feels like you just can't like the sims 4 because there will ALWAYS be someone telling you why you shouldn't.
