Oh man, this video is long overdue! I've been super busy lately but more details to come on that later! This video was shot during the weekend of shot show and I met up with steve so he can show off the blasters they're making! The rifle was made right! I was surprised to see how much went into building these guns. It really made me appreciate all these companies that put in a lot of work to build a well-tuned machine!

So let me be clear on and address alot of the comments.
Dont think that steve or anyone in the video is trying to come up with some wazzu shit. Dont get me wrong, what hes saying to ryan and i is news to us only because we dont know this stuff lol. Steve is a good buddy of mine who has a passion for these guns hes making and like i said, after i shot them i was impressed. Can you slap a gun together or buy one from a manufacture that shoots as well? Hell yes you can and thats awesome! Personally for me i love the passion he has for building these guns and i wanted to give him a platform to speak about his passion as i would for any one of my friends.
ALSO! yes i understand the rail looks like other rails on the market. Lets be honest, that can be said about every rail, reciever group and accessories on the market. The guys and gals at ripcord added their own flare which to some may not be needed and again.. THATS OKAY

It literally doesn't matter, because they will be at vastly different temperatures anyway. Temperature of the bolt plateaus while the carrier and chamber side of the barrel will continue to climb in a DI gun, in a piston gun the bolt and carrier barely get any heat.

@@seanoneil277 idk man, it seems like there’s a flaw in the logic. The greatest moment is where the handguard mounts to the upper and that moment decreases in magnitude as you move away from the fixed point. I understand making the barrel nut longer because you essentially decrease the length of the lever arm and in turn the magnitude of the moment, but beefing up the middle of the rail doesn’t make sense from an engineering standpoint. The part of that rail that is going to fail is right after the barrel nut ends and where all of the mlok begins if it’s subjected to a load at the end of the rail. Filling in the mlok at the middle portion of the rail does not make the weakest link any stronger and it’s still going to fail in the same place.
Obviously they can’t really get rid of the mlok at the receiver end of the rail because guys like to mount slings and stuff back there so that just makes it seem like more of a marketing thing or a misunderstanding of the statics that go into it. I may be misunderstanding the design a bit or maybe I’m misunderstanding something else but that’s my take on it.

A few things to add. They needed to spec out a new gas block for these barrels. The core series barrels are known for being undersized on the gas block journal by the people who build guns and and spec them for a living. So good on them. I originally thought vltor built their rails but yeah must not be. Looks like a mix between a Geissele and vltor freedom rail. Both great rails so nice little mix up of them with their own touch. 10:39 says a little under 1 moa. Everyone makes this claim. "Sub-moa guarantee with factory match loads" blah blah. No. Dont make such a bold claim unless youre going to show it in video at 100 yds with multiple 5 shot groups. I guarantee youre over 1.25 moa on a good day. Probably over 2.00 moa with the cheap 55gr ammo youre claiming to have used.
At 10:50 you say 1.73 "inch moa." "Inch MOA" doesn't mean anything. 1 moa at 100yds isn't 1 inch if that's what you mean. It's 1.047", which is close, but when youre confidently giving people MOA figures on video for your product to the one-hundredth of an MOA (2 decimal places), then you demonstrate you don't know the difference between inch and MOA, you kind of lose a lot of credibility.
Imagine if Buggati stated that their new car has a top speed of 267 mile kilometers per hour, lol.
I hate to be the negative nancy in your comments, but you spend a lot of time talking about how you headspace bolts as if that's something special you do, and although almost no home builder is taking the time to do that, it is a very basic and easy to to do step. Are you taking the time to bevel your ejectors to reduce brass shaving build-up? Are you lapping the bottoms of your gas keys? Something I wish more companies did was gauge every spec of their bcg, barrel, and receivers to verify and guarantee TDP specs. I got so tired of well renowned companies putting out expensive, out of spec crap that I just bought all the SOTAR gauges. It takes 2 minutes to verify all TDP specs on the main components. Theres no reason high end companies shouldn't be doing that for every rifle they produce.

I am not understanding the rail comment. A rail that is a typical mlok rail that is skelotonized is just as strong at any point (Fe de = Fl dl) . The connection method makes a difference, a longer rail has more potential to move under load because it is a lever. Having a shorter rail will add more structural rigidity than adding solid sections to the rail.

Deja vu could swore we had this talk in 2006 then DAniel Defense invented the MK18 and A4 rail mount systems then came out with it in keymod and mlok. So you solved a problem that was already solved.. good job and at this point there is several rails on the market that are solid… Geissele, BCM, DD and possibly the wedge lok rials which I think are just hype and marketing. I haven’t heard piece yet but I feel like your gonna ask $350. I remember when expensive guns and gun parts were expensive because they had been proven in combat. Now so many assholes copy something and ask the same amount as the proven companies. You turbo nearded the hell out of it? Right because that hasn’t been done already. You act as if the AR hasn’t already become a perfectly tuned weapon. This is so stupid. Sorry but DD, BCm, Geissele, Knights and sig sauer have already “turbo nerded the hell out of the AR and they did a wonderful job. I own all of the companies I just listed minus knights and none of them jam, all of them cycle like a dream, accurate as fuck, durable as fuck and some of my DDs and BCMs went though combat, have had 10s of thousands of rounds fired through them. Shit my mk18 hasn’t had a barrel change for probably 40k rounds and the rifling almost looks new. I just can’t take anymore bullshit marketing and assholes getting rich asking way to much money abusing the new comers in the firearms industry. 39 million new gun owners in 2020. Now holosun is asking $500 for cheap Chinese grade red dot, companies with no experience in manufacturing firearms are asking top tier pricing and they just pay off some TH-camrs, have a couple videos talking details and a thousand videos of b roll action. Isn’t this the guy that swore by Triarc? He probably saw how rich Triarc got off a mediocre rifle sold at HK prices and got away with it. Triarc literally has zero quality in their guns, they named a $50 dollar nitride barrel “two track” and asked cold hammer forged barrel pricing.. sounds like this guys doing the same but he is stealing the marketing of Geissele. I see you rails lock up system, it’s a cheap clamp system that $59 dollar rails use but you made it look like a Geissele. I hope Geissele sues you

Too much "in my opinion". When it comes down to 2 ounces vs s tad bit more rigid, I don't think either has any practical effect but if one did, it would be weight. SO, I would like to see a slow video of them shooting their more "rigid" rail, against a regular ol' MLOK rail all the way through. My understanding is that the flex is from the shot being fired and all of the recoil and flex it cause and I just don't see have a tad bit of extra 2 ounces worth of material is going to make it THAT much more rigid. So I'll go check the site out to get more of an understanding, but until a video is released, showing the difference in flex of them vs their competitor, and a decent brand at that (not some ebay rail), I'm calling BS on this so called "2 ounces of extra material makes it that much more rigid IN MY OPINION". I think most shooters, and I'm talking about shooters who train, will agree. Two ounces is way more noticeable in weight, than it is in the supposed rigidity it supposedly adds to the rail. Anyway, I'm completely open to being PROVEN wrong. "My opinion" don't sell rails.
