well i love it when people try to speak french when coming to france, it's better to try than to not try at all! usually when people approach you they just speak english.
@Amrita Kaur well of course they are gonna have an accent, since french isn't their first language... i speak english with an accent too, it's very hard to get rid of it.... Her french was actually good :)

I'm so inspired by your solo trip. I love Paris so much and I want to return, but I've always been nervous about travelling alone, this is really nice to see someone enjoying themself alone in a foreign place!!

Your French is great! I had trouble getting myself understood in France and I'm French Canadian. :/ I'm so envious of your ability and confidence to travel alone and that super cute studio you stayed at. I went to Europe with my school and if I could have a do-over, I would 100% do it like you did instead. You had an amazing trip! These vlogs give me such wanderlust. 💕

This was so entertaining to watch. I've always wanted to go to the Palace of Versailles because I loved learning the history part of it. I really wanted to see the hall of mirrors because it is sooo beautiful! I'm glad you had a good time✨🌆😊
Emma, this video made me cry! Not only because I was so excited and happy for you, but also because I went to France semi-recently with some people I now consider to be some of my closest friends and this made me so nostalgic! Your reaction to Versailles was exactly the same as mine and it made me want to go back so bad, and also Shakespeare and Co. and the Latin Quarter in general was one of my all time favourite places I went in Paris! Feeling jealousy, nostalgia but mostly anticipation for when I can go back, but mostly so happy for you that you had such a good time!!

This travel vlog has inspired me to go see more of Paris and see more bookshops. I actually went to Shakespeare and Co. (by accident) and I would love to see more.
Although, I’m actually traumatized to use the Metro in Paris because when I went with my family, we almost got mugged 😳 Luckily, this kind French woman helped us out but yea we took the most dangerous line and our hotel was outside of Paris. We eventually changed to another one because of the experience. But I loved being there and I would love to go back again and explore!

It's so weird to see you wandering through my city haha, it feels so good to see it through a stranger's eyes! I had to go to some of the bookstores you went for a group project, my favourite tbh was WHSmith with that little coffee area.. But I don't know if you noticed, the books are a little bit pricier than they are in the UK... I don't know why. :(

It's a shame you didn't get to do the gardens. When I went 6 years ago it was free entry. Also the Marie Antoinette palace is back there and it's pink and beautiful
Having been in Paris just about 3 months ago myself, I totally understand everything you said. We went to the same book stores (we even bought the same book at that book store that was the first one in Europe) and the same sight seeing places and you saying that it's sickening how there is no ugly building, girl, tell me about it. Architecture wise Paris is absolutely stunning. I was so amazed about that fact. So gorgeous. Glad you had a good time :)
Musee D'Orsay is one of the places I have to go next time because I couldn't go since I was on a schedule with my friends. Definitely plan to go back on my own.
Also, the Mona Lisa was so overrated lmao. I went to see her painting but I was more excited about everything else at the Louvre. The outside of the Louvre with the pyramid is now my favourite place to chill in Paris. It's just so nice there and if I'd live in Paris I would spend my free days there reading haha

I spent one day in Paris, and it was incredible. I’m supposed to go back right after New Year’s, and I hope I’ll actually get to. This time, however, I’m planning to actually heed all the damn signs in the Metro that say watch out for pickpockets, because my phone was stolen that day.
I love the Louvre, but honestly by the end of it, it is just kind of like, ‘get me the fuck out of this building’, at least in my experience.

Women are told to not walk alone at night in their own countries and cities. Not just when they travel. Let it go.

Painteyelash there’s nothing non-feminist about not walking alone at night, it’s just being aware of your safety unfortunately, it’s often more needed for woman/girls not a sign of weakness also, completely depends where you are. I’m very lucky to have an assistance dog so, don’t think about it as much but, certainly would he more nervous without her by my side.
