From a legal standpoint he can probably get into legal trouble for having explicit pictures of someone under 18. It doesn't matter what age you are, even if you're under 18, you can still get in legal trouble for that. However, that being said, there is clearly no moral issue with it, at least as far as the ages, if they are of age where it's okay for them to do explicit things together. As a result, prosecutors, judges, and juries will often throw out the case at some point so long as there was no sharing of the photos with others, or some other kind of bad behavior involved.
