    this video is an opinion and in no way should be construed as statements of fact. scams, bad business opportunities, and fake gurus are subjective terms that mean different things to different people. I think someone who promises $100K/month for an upfront fee of $2K is a scam. Others would call it a Napolean Hill pitch.

    being almost a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, I find this very interesting. We actually practice knife defense in my classes, and the number 1 tip for fighting someone with a knife is this.... don't fight a guy with a knife. If it is an option, run away. Regardless of size, strength, or condition, a knife gives an instant physical advantage to whoever wields it. The technique the guy showed in the video was somewhat close to an actual defense move if you couldn't run away, but encouraging people to get into a fight with a knife wielding thug is just so dumb...

If they're using a weapon like fucking nunchucks, go kick their ass, literally just walk into them and you hilariously now have an opponent with only one hand cause theyr'e holding onto something worthless. If they have a knife or anything else, run away, it's a force multiplier.

      Dim Mak translates to "death touch." It's not a style. Karate and other styles of martial arts teach Dim Mak to advanced students. Dim Mak is real. You have to hit the right places, the right way and with enough force for the moves to work.

    • @Honkey99
      @Honkey99 3 ปีที่แล้ว +69

      @@williedogster No they don’t, eastern martial arts like karate, Taekwondo and kung fu focus more on forms then anything actually effective in a street fight. Second off if you’re gonna bullshit at least get the fact Dim Mak isn’t related to Karate at all it’s related to Kung Fu and Wing Chun and any studio that teaches it isn’t WKF, WTKO, AKA etc certified meaning even if you are “advanced” your belt isn’t recognized as legit

    Here just randomly watching your vids.
    You are very correct. In martial arts you learn these basic rules:
    1. Don’t fight. Seriously, if you can avoid it, do so.
    2. If you fight someone with a knife, be prepared to get cut because you likely will.
    There are many ways to disarm someone, but what you can’t anticipate is someone acting irrationally. It’s why it takes a lot of training and in the end it is still better to not engage.
    Bonus: if you have to fight someone, stand on something. Then declare yourself the winner because you have the high ground. They will likely concede.

I had the reflexes to at least avoid being stabbed in the heart where the attacker was aiming, but still had my wrist slashed open. I did not stay and fight, I ran, called police, and an ambulance. Doing that saved my life, not nonsense "moves" that death-touched the attacker :-P

    I was doing Karate rather seriously years ago and we learned there how to handle a knife fight. Here is how you do it: 1/ avoid any confrontation with someone with a knife; 2/ if you can’t and what they want is your belongings: do what they tell you and give everything, no questions asked; 3/ if what they want is your life: run like hell while screaming and try to reach a place with other people; 4/ if that fails, try to defend yourself: good luck. I believe those are the most sane advice in most situations.

    Love your videos Zilla! Btw, if anyone is actually interested in learning real self defense skills (and seeing what doesn't work as well) there's a channel called Hardtohurt that tests a lot of the "sensational self defense move" myths and also talks about what actually does work. Plus I also think the dude is hilarious too.
    P.S. never fight somebody who has a knife unless you feel like getting cut open multiple multiple times. If you don't have a choice the best thing you can do is try to isolate it. Or use a gun. I did a little bit of knife fighting training in HEMA and 9 times out of 10, both parties would have been cut up pretty badly if they were real knives.

    Best self defense is to do whatever it takes (bite, kick, scream, headbutt...) to get out of the situation alive. If they are not physically holding you down or pointing a gun at you then just run! The goal is to stay alive. Avoid confrontations and get out of the situation. There's million things that can go wrong trying to take someone on... just don't do it.

    I’m a brown belt In MMA with a specialization in Brazilian ju jitsu. This video is the most sac religious thing I have ever seen in all my life. When he held the knife upright and moved it toward the guys shoulder like he was punching above the shoulder instead of actually using the blade. The parry (which I suppose conceptually what was shown there is a legitimate counter to a thrust attack) was so poorly done it made me cringe. Proper technique requires precise movements years of training to get to a place where it would be effective in a street fight the way you see it in movies. There are no short cuts, there is no death touch. Even if you have mastery, my teacher, who I trained with for 7 years, said- if you can run. You should always run. I think that is the best take away from this. Give the mugger your wallet, even if you’re a fifth degree black belt. It’s just not worth it. Call the cops.
