I'm 64 years old, a hiker and backpacker. Now I'm finally getting some serious hip pain. Just tried following along for the first time with each of these and I'm already getting some relief. You just made one persons life a little better and more hopeful for the future. Thank you so much.

Update. I’ve been faithfully doing these & some from another of your w/o for hip pain now for 6 weeks and I want to thank you. I am 72 and have been reasonably active most of my life. However, for about 16 years I engaged in a pretty sedentary professional business. My only relief to my hip pain then I found in riding our horses in the summer. My hip pain worsened four years ago when we decided to move the horses to good homes while we had control. Not wanting surgery I started these exercises. It took five weeks but then I noticed I didn’t awaken during the night with searing hip pain and had to roll over. This has continued. Now I am hoping to find I can walk with out pain on the flat and eventually back to walking in the woods around our home with my husband and dog. I write this to thank you and also to let anyone else who is reading this that if you have been sedentary for a long time, it will take a while and you’ll feel stiff and somewhat sore in these muscles for a while. Don’t give up. I hope to write again when I discover that walking (not waddling) outdoors is something I can do without pain. Thank you so much for providing this wonderful service. I am grateful.

I agree with the resuming activity after being sedentary..which is pretty much all of us after the closing of gyms, pools, group exercise classes related to COVID. I didn't get COVID but my body and mind suffered greatly from all of the restrictions.

@@toneandtighten I had a (R)THR in 2017 for a birth defect, which damaged the pectineus and the piriformis. 2 months later I had to have a spinal fusion and my pelvis is still rotated abnormally. I am unable to put my right ankle to my left knee, but am fully capable of W sitting, as I have my entire life. My muscles are extremely weak, but there does not seem to be anything to alleviate the pain or to strengthen the area. Would you recommend still attempting these exercises, even when it causes deep pain in joint area?

I'm a 27 years old from Iraq, I have ball and socket joint problem on my hip, it is a birth defect I was born like that. After many years of pain on both my legs and doctors made me hopeless, I still didn't give up and always searched for a way to make my walking better at least.
Finally I found this video and I have been doing these exercises for 5 months and can't believe the results!! My leg didn't regrow as normal of course but at least I can now walk for longer distances without problems, even doing squat exercises. I can't thank you enough, may god bless you 👏🏻
And remember! you are a life changer. Best regards.

I’m 69 now and last year after training/entering a ‘Murph Challenge’ with my husband I was in a lot of pain. After seeing an orthopedic surgeon and going to 6 weeks of physical therapy I finally had some relief. I found your video and although some of your exercises are what I was doing in therapy others were not so I tried them. As long as I do these after exercising I am pretty much pain free! Thank you for offering this video on line! I’m sure it’s saved me from many more doctor visits and more therapy!!

Awesome. 😊👍👍👍 I'm an avid hiker in my 70s. Started having this problem and dr. diagnosed bursitis and wanted to inject steriods into my hips. I'm not on any medications whatsoever and felt this would not be a cure but more of a bandaid needing to be repeated as needed. Did an internet search and found this video. All the stretches and exercises you demonstrated are easy to do and my hips felt better after the first session. I'll do this for a month and get back to you with results. Thank you so much for posting this. It is by far the best video I've found on this issue. Thanks again and you have a new subscriber. 😁

I am a healthy jogger and biker. One day, my hips started to hurt from over standing (wfh station). I thought that I would have to rest and let the hips heal. After 2 months, nothing changed and I am stuck with the pain 24/7. I was even researching about hip replacement surgery.
After 1st day of stretch and exercise, my hips are doing a lot better. I am going to do these exercises every day going forward.

All I can say is WOW!!! I am a longtime Fibromyalgia patient. I’ve been having hip issues for a while but my low back was blamed for most of it. I had trigger point injections a few weeks ago so thankfully my low back/sciatica is MUCH improved. Now I know the hip joints are the current issue. Tonight I got desperate the pain was so severe I felt nauseous. I found this video, modified them a bit and did the stretches and toning exercises on both sides but it’s the left hip joint tonight. (I’m sure it’s bursitis) and my pain is 90% better!!! THANK YOU!!! From the bottom of my ❤… I can’t wait to tell my Physiatrist about this video.

Jared your explanation is point on & the stretches do help. My question to you is that I am 48 years of age and about 5 months ago I started running. I graduated to a 5k distance over a period of 8 weeks and then started increasing to 10k. It’s at this point I started getting hip pain.
I hired a running coach who sent me to a chiropractor and he diagnosed me with mild arthritis in my hip with restricted movement. Is that a good diagnosis?
After I do my long runs of 12-15k once a week I am in pain for nearly 4-5 days. I want to continue running but the pain is severe. Do you believe regular workouts which you have shown will eliminate the pain entirely? I want to run a marathon a year from now.

    • @oabominavelsiridasneves1924
      @oabominavelsiridasneves1924 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Hey sir, I know I'm late to the party, but what works best for injury prevention is adapting really slow. Let's say you can run a 10k in 1 hour, instead of every workout giving max effort to reduce that time, or trying to increase the distance every week, just go easier (let's say a 6k in 36min), then do it for a nice weekly volume and repeat for about three months, even If you can go for much more, this way you're making your tendons adapt, then you can have a period where you increase the speed, distance or volume; but try an easier version of your workouts and do it for 3 months, let your tendons adapt and also stretch n' physio exercises help a lot.
      Hope you get better:)

Fantastic physio ideas…I’ve been endlessly stretching and feeling frustrated that I’m not improving my hips and whatever workout I do HIIT it resistance or bouldering I still get butt or hip ache and struggle to get relief from just stretching.
I’ve gone through your recommendations for strengthening and it’s enabled me to diagnose that there is clearly weakness around that joint and already feel relief from doing these reps. One of the best I've seen working on hip pain. I especially appreciated the idea of working all the muscles around the affected ones. I will be doing these tomorrow morning as I like to do these before I get up so I can get up with far less pain. Thank you.
