Way too 'spensive for less though.. when you think about it. I will wait 5 years and rent them in the meantime if I want to play with them. So they are copying pioneer now. Not a good sign for the company.
The only issue i really see is portability. This all looks like the most solid crossover from actual wax to digital, but damn if you have to take it with you everywhere its gonna take a trip or two! Big up Serato and Rane!
I wonder what would have happened if our forefathers decided to stick to making fires out of striking stones together? There wouldn't even be the concept of dj-ing. It's annoying to see people so adamant about 1200s this and needles that! The traditional vinyl you all are talking about in itself is technology. Now we have a set up That has combined both worlds, still giving you the turntable feel and completely eliminating all the hassles of warped vinyl and replacing needles etc.. I could go on! Embrace advancement! This to me further explores creativity. I'm a turntablist and I was so glad to see this and waiting for mine to be delivered. Get with the program! Or when they invent flying cars u better keep that bicycle of yours... thanks rane/serato! 👏👏👏

why is denon prime so expensive? same reason, trying to compete with pioneer man, as phat as all this equipment is, i agree it's way overpriced

I have invested a lot on different Serato hardware (Denon MCX8000, Numark NV, Rane SL4, Reloop 8000, Numark 500, etc,) and I think is a little bit abusive that after the big payment that all that Serato hardware signifies (here in México we pay like 30% more from the US price, on a fraction of earnings per gig) I still have to pay for the DVS , club kit, club essentials or whatever it's gonna be called. On the same reasoning, I think it s gonna be prohibitly expensive this gear on my country. Gonna have to buy one piece at a time, and very important question: Can I use any of my beautiful colores and printed editions of serato control vinyls with these? (sorry for my incorrect english)
My question is two part: 1) Will the Turntables work with a Rane 64 mixer (4 Channel)? & (becauce I love the FX independence on the 72 mixer) 2) is there a similar kind of mixer with 4 channels?
So I have a ns73 at home, if this was a club install am I right in think I can turn up with my computer and just plug n play? Or would I need to purchase club kit?
So when using the custom pad mode (Midi mapping) can we set other buttons apart from the 8 pads for other functions? Could i say change the parameter buttons to say Internal and doubles? Oh and you say go out and buy these from a store today?? There all sold out after 2 days are they not? jmoak311 no. He said u can use a usb hub to plug the 12s into, then plug that into the laptop. Plug your mixer into the laptop usb and use internal mode in serato to use the midi controls of the 12s.
It can be paired with any Serato Pro compatible mixer or with outside mixers using a Serato box. You just have to plug them into your laptop using a USB hub rather than straight into the mixer. On other softwares it can be re-mapped since the computer reads it as a Midi controller.
So $1600 for a pair of 12’s then you have to buy a $100 hub or a Serato box unless you buy an actual 72. Thinking the reloop 7000mk2 is the way to go with any mixer I want. They don’t make it easy to switch from a controller to a classic vinyl set up.
Did you watch the vid?? the 12s work with other mxiers that use SDJ pro, There just midi controllers. And the 8 pads are not only cue pads, theres 10 modes for the pads, \cues is just one of the 10 modes.
SeratoHQ They are ignoring a significant portion of their potential market. The battle layout is the single reason why I'll hold off for now. The pitch control at the top is a non-starter for house music DJs. I really hope they reconsider...

Yes you can, however it will require you to drill 3 holes through the center to be able to fix them on the TWELVE.

Yes the TWELVES work with any Serato DJ Pro supported hardware. No plans for a 4-channel version yet.

The 72 is 2 channels only. If you get a 4 channel mixer then you can operate the 4 channels with 2 12’s. Hope this makes sense.

This new Rane hardware doesn't require licenses to connect as it is Serato DJ Pro Enabled hardware.

72 packed with 2x8 cue pads and twelve only works with 72 right? Why put another 8 cue pad on it? Too much cue pads
