      Tables Turn when they say "fake it to make it" they really mean fake lol

    • @johnnysimsyo
      @johnnysimsyo 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tables Turn still need some form of skill to pull it off . Some people can’t control a vinyl to save their life. So this just adds to creativity. I’m sure people who scratch already can get the most out of this and come up with sick ideas.

      You're missing the point. As the great Allen Iverson once said: "We talking about practice."

    Those 'turntables' are pretty funny but the big question is.. will they play CDs? Re. mixer, the more bells and whistles, the more there is to go wrong with it.

  • @flashgord2007
    @flashgord2007 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    maybe number #2 thing does this work with traktor pro 2 like the RP8000 turntables By Reloop or only Serato

    • @dirtboy79
      @dirtboy79 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol it is but technology what can you you do?

    • @denzeladams3500
      @denzeladams3500 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's cheating, but it's not really new... It's just a transform effect, most efx mixers from the last 10 years already have it.
      There's alot more to scratching than transforming... This effect can't chirp for you, or flare for you, or juggle for you, or orbit or you... It's just a transform.

    • @D-One
      @D-One 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It kind of is cheating but it certainly won't impress anyone when some dude makes super fast cuts by tapping a button, at least not anyone that understands scratching. People have been using the 'transformer' FX which does something really similar... Plus, at this price point, only serious turntablists would buy this... I never seen a fist-pumping-dj with an 2k battle mixer

  • @denzeladams3500
    @denzeladams3500 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Check out the "Phase" product, can basically turn any Turntable to not use the needle or tonearm. Basically this but it sends the signal wirelessly to your DVS.
    NAMM 2018 Demo - th-cam.com/video/Zpy_FG4-CcU/w-d-xo.html
    $200-300 price range, 10 hours of battery life.

    • @djkoderedd
      @djkoderedd 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      just my 2 cents anything with a battery you gotta charge can be very sketchy for djing main concern is it turning off during ur set specially if your doing long sets or there for multi hours doing pre rehearsals.
      did think this is a great concept tho.

    • @djkoderedd
      @djkoderedd 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      did think it was kinda fun watching people pick up the record with the phase on it and it still worked made for some interesting scratches lol

    • @1200technics1
      @1200technics1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The battery last 10-12 hours yeah but whats the life span of the battery

    • @djkoderedd
      @djkoderedd 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i think in the end you mite be spending just as much on replacement batterys on the phase as much at the 12's (dont take my word for it just my 2 cents) so its really preference now and what can you take where ever your gig is.

    • @djblvd
      @djblvd 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Phase is cool, but gotta agree with KodeRedd on the technology. Wireless and battery operated are cool for microphones, but man I really trust wired gear when it comes to my set.

  • @Gorflaxsack
    @Gorflaxsack 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I get the feeling this dude explaining the 72 got his mixer a day or two before NAMM. Rane has totally fucked up the release of this mixer. You released a promo video 5 months ago with no follow up... You need real professionals who can adequately showcase what this mixer can do. Did you improve the soundcard, and D/A converters in this new Rane? I hope so.

    Bad news rane, Phase Timecode makes them look like garbage

    • @djblvd
      @djblvd 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Twelve has 3600 ticks of midi data while the Phase has 3200 ticks which means that the Twelve will have a tighter response. The fact that Phase is wireless (interference) and only has a 10 hour battery life has me concerned (Be honest, how often do we forget to charge things). I like the Phase concept, but I got the 62 because I didn't want to connect the Serato box anymore. Why would I want another box (and Usb port) to connect? The Twelve is sexy and has a clean USB to mixer setup with the 72 (NO RCAs!!!). Just my opinion.

  • @churchillcoins8519
    @churchillcoins8519 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yikes, $1,799 for an S9 copy. The “turntables”’seem interesting and the touch pad on the mixer does as well. I think Rane missed the boat with this.

    • @dirtboy79
      @dirtboy79 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dude the 62 was $2600 of da rack

    • @churchillcoins8519
      @churchillcoins8519 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow bro, I thought they said $1,799. They defiantly missed the mark.

    • @denzeladams3500
      @denzeladams3500 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Imagine how much an s9 would cost if it had the Magvel Pro fader that's in its crossfader, in all three faders...
      Now realize the 72 DOES have 3 of the exact same magnetic faders in all fader positions.
      Factor in the faders and these mixers are the same price.

    • @djblvd
      @djblvd 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 72 is gonna be $1899. Dirtboy, not sure if you remember the actual retail price of the 62, but I got my 62Z for $2100 after taxes. Definitely not an S9 copy, unless your S9 has a touchscreen and independent Flex FX on each channel...
