It could be condensation; coldness conducted through the sheet metal inside could be condensing water. Try flowing water over each entry point and watch for incoming water to see if it is leaking or not.

Cats can be so funny! I have 3 indoors cats myself.Gisele is 5. Yrs old and orphaned before she was fully weaned.our other two cats are 2 yrs old litter mates Casper and Grace.they were orphaned as well. Gisele thinks she has to sniff everything I eat or drink.
I hope that was definitely the solution to the leak. Big repairs and construction is always a mess isn’t it. Vans or sticks and bricks. I once had to clear out a whole bathroom just so the plumbers could repair the bath tub faucet.

You need a collapsible laundry basket to put your stuff in or some sort of tote bag, maybe even your cat carrier to temporarily store in.
