It's dunny because the Doctor themselves keeps courting that line. Like the Doctor in Classic Sho was very ace coded but in New Who he's been all over the place, probably pan. But then you have Eleven who's again very ace coded to the point where the text telling you he's a sex appeal machine feels contradictory
Well, I'd say Ninth and Thirteenth have been the most asexual Doctors we had in Modern Who; regardless, I agree with your statement about the increase in ace representation.
Half of this interaction I can't even comprehend but please tell me that the Ace you mention, is not Ace of Perivale ... Yes, she wore a bomber jacket, DMs and liked a scrap, but she wasn't a lesbian. She was a Tom-boy, big distinction. I'm amazed you could even think that, when she was clearly sniffing around (and fancied) Mike in 'Remembrance of the Daleks', not to mention swooning over Courtney Pine in 'Silver Nemesis' and the moments she shared with Bellboy before his suicide in 'The Greatest Show in the Galaxy'. Ace a lesbian?!! I wouldn't let her hear you say that!
I know it isn't really connected to the video. But I hate people saying the Doctor cant be a woman or black. It's been pretty much confirmed since 2010 in The Sarah Jane Adventures Clyde: Even your eyes are different. It's weird, cos I thought the eyes would stay the same. Can you change colour or are you always white? 11th Doctor: I could be anything.
He can't. What you people fail to understand is the established mythology which was firmly in place long before you were watching or born. You cite 2010 like that was ages ago.... try 1989 - which is when the original and superior series of Doctor Who ended and no timelord changed sex or ethnicity when they regenerated..... but nice try.
@@rnw2739 And you people act like Doctor Who has ever had a fixed canon. The show has always contradicted itself. The Doctor was half-human, then he wasn't. He went back and forth on having one or two hearts. Even the origin of the Daleks changed, once they evolved from a piece loving species known as the Dals, it wasn't until Genesis when we got Kaleds and Davros
I must be a living slice of skin because this vídeo moisturizes me. Also, like other people have said before me, the miniature for this vídeo might be one of the coolest Doctor Who images out there. Great work!
Unfortunately, people were calling Doctor Who "woke," "leftists pandering," or some equivalent since long before Bill. Martha got a lot of vitriol back in the day for being the first non-white companion in the show.
The same racist losers who got mad at a biracial woman being announced as the next companion back in 2006 got real mad for totally not racist reasons when rumours of a possible spin-off starring her started circulating this year. (For future reference despite Martha being solely black, Freema is actually biracial with her mother being Kurdish and her father Ghanian.)
Suena como un español intentando sonar británico...oh, espera. Fuera de broma, me alegra que esté explorando nuevos horizonte, aunque extrañaré el contenido en castellano, no hay muchos canales en nuestro idioma que hablen de Doctor Who
I would say I want more asexual and aromantic representation in doctor who, but to be honest we need more ace/aro representation period

There really is no need to specify 'The Modern Era' in parenthesis as the classic era never went into such unnecessary areas.
Of course I will like this video 😊
