this piece by beloved Chopin always tugs at my heartstrings, the melody is haunting. Polish Airs are one of my very favorites of this master composer, the drama it invokes is exquisite, i adore every lilting note... actually i couldnt praise this concert piece enough.☺☺
One way to understand Biret's pianism is to know that she was close to the aristocratic and noble expression of the 19th century pianists, particularly free from show, tearfulness, and over-sentimentality. She is fantastic.
Absolutely beautiful, charming and refreshing! Chopin composed this when he was 18 in 1828 , the same year he also composed Rondo à la Krakowiak - another marvel. It is such a shame these works are rarely performed publicly.
i dont mean to be offtopic but does anyone know a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot the login password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me.
@Kasen Yusuf i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I was exquisitely frightened by the paragraph ( 0:40 ) However, the scale and chord is undisputedly in a fluent quality. Chopin doesn't compose melodies indiscriminately, and he is so ingenious!
Chopin to najpiękniejsza spuścizna dla ludzkości. Dziękuję.
...the best performance of that piece in my opinion. ❤❤❤❤
Idil Biret plays Chopin wonderfully !! Delicate, sentimental

How have I lived over 80 years, most of which was spent listening to or playing classical music, and I never heard this before?

Chopin composed Polonaise no 11&12 when he was 7.

he theme that begins at 4:33 is known as Laura I Fillon. Mazowsze "Laura i Filon"
It is a folk song, which I used to sing at school in my childhood.
Все записи превосходны. Хотелось бы кратких сведений об исполнителях
Peter.Frankl ,например. Я мало о нем знаю.
Most of Chopin's works are for piano
But he just left exiguous works for orchestra , there are only 6 works.
Op.2
Op.11
Op.13
Op.14
Op.21
Op.46
from 7:00 to 8:15 pure Chopin
Listening to this and Chopin's 1st piano sonata, one can tell he was inspired by Beethoven while developing his own style.
Lovely
