I assume that the only "off-roading" anyone is going to do in this is going over a speed bump at Macy's.

@@kendallhughes7507 … that doesn’t mean that the products Macy’s has is ghetto lmao what?? Macys is clearly a step above Walmart or Target which definitely do have possibly the description of ghetto but even there you can find decent stuff. And at that price range you ain’t even paying for the product rather for the brand. The Macy’s I frequent has Michael Kors n Ralph Lauren. Good enough for me. I’ve shopped at retail Michael Kors n their t shirts are at most 150 dollars and I’ve seen even the same exact products that retail has but in Macys. Ralph Lauren is different though, I went to their retail and they have completely different stuff.

I have a 2022 NX which uses the same HUD and wheel controls and I've driven it for over 6 months now. This system is excellent.
It's incredibly intuitive. All you have to do is touch (not press, they're also capacitive) any button on either side of the wheel and that section of buttons pops up on the HUD instantly to show you what they all do. You then actually press the button to activate its function. It took me about 5 seconds to understand how it works and get used to it.
It's also important to note that the default layout is exactly what you'd expect, again making it intuitive. Left side is phone and media controls by default and right side is cruise control by default. There's very little reason to ever hit the menu switch button. And I suppose if you don't like the defaults they're also completely configurable.
Overall there's hardly any reason to ever touch the main center screen beyond advanced climate control functions and maybe some app interactions.

If anybody's curious, the hybrid 4 cylinder is not a turbo. None of the hybrid options will have a turbo 4-cylinder, the turbo 4 cylinder is the replacement to the v6. Hybrid options all use the 2.5 l Atkinson cycle four-cylinder engine. It is the same four-cylinder engine that is in their current hybrid Highlanders and siennas. If I had to guess why the sport model has more power, it has a larger battery pack and allows for much more current into the electric motors to assist the gas motor. This is much like the RAV4 Prime does.

I just do not understand why anyone is bothering with electronic door poppers. If you're going to put a physical, manual "backup" option anyway..you're now just putting 2 opening methods instead of 1 for no reason, adding weight, cost, and complication with zero benefit. Not to mention it also adds extra usage steps for no reason, (button, then pull vs simple 1 step pulling the door). Just doesn't make sense.
    - A heavy, lifting gullwing or sliding door is different, but a regular door that you pull/push open anyway may as well just stick with 1 simple, intuitive handle and nix the electronic multistep option.

Power to weight ratio isn't even nearly as useful for estimating a vehicle's performance as most people think it is anyways.

Hard to believe they are still struggling with the grille design. This one looks like they chickened out and put blue tape on the top section of the grill to make it smaller. But I think the idea was to make some sort of transition or styling fade from the grille to the body, which to me adds confusion. Can somebody at Lexus just make a decision about styling and commit to it without weird shapes and transitions?
