I had a girlfriend who was a PEN Tester. It is short for penetration tester. She would trick her way into buildings and offices and steal information off computers or go into the file room and take pictures of classified folders. She got paid to do it. Companies would hire her to see how unsecured their buildings were. She would tell me stories about just how easy it was to get into buildings just because you were carrying a clipboard and a briefcase. Most of the time she didn't need to show her ID or security pass because the receptionist would just give her a "visitors" pass... She told me that all you needed was confidence... I could never do that. I'd panic and get confused. If you have ever seen the movie "Sneakers" then at the beginning of that movie they are Pen Testers. They get paid to break into peoples places so they can tell the owners how to stop people from breaking into their places.
MADALINA - THE GREAT IMPOSTOR (1960) played by actor TONY CURTIS is ANOTHER TRUE STORY (like Leonardo DiCaprio Catch Me If You Can) -- This 1960 movie is the story of an American impostor named FERDINAND DEMARA (who quit high school but had a PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY) He actually joined the United States Army in 1941 and later the US Navy where he was trained as a Medic Corpsman His impersonations include: monk living in monasteries, civil engineer, sheriff's deputy, hospital orderly, lawyer, cancer researcher, psychology teacher in college, assistant to the warden of a Texas prison, doctor in the Royal Canadian Navy on a destroyer during the Korean War (where he successfully performed emergency surgeries), school teacher, and an FBI agent. He was caught and in prison multiple times. His story was first in a book THE GREAT IMPOSTOR and another book The Rascal and the Road, both books by Robert Crichton (Amazon reviews say the movie is better than the book) TONY CURTIS was a popular leading man in movies in the 1950's - 60's and TV to 2005 This Leonardo DiCaprio movie was great too. THANKS !! (Dave Strong)

Fun story: in the mid 2000s we've had a similar case here in Brazil but the guy pretended not only to be a pilot but also the airline owner's son 😂😂 He had an insane ability to persuade ppl... He even went to the carnaval pretending to be the owner's son...he hired bodyguards, flew to the carvanal at Recife flying an helicopter by himself (he didnt have a real license) and all the famous ppl in there were D riding him cuz they thought he was super rich and he also took some celebs to fly with him on "his" helicopter 😂...the tv network that was covering the event interviewed him as if he's was the actual owner's son and he gave an amazing interview talking naturally af and even said the airline's slogan at the end 😂😂 But on the same night there was a girl at the Carnaval who knew the actual son of the airline's owner and she called the police.. He went to the airport trying to escape got in a private jet flew from Recife to Rio (about 2.300km) but when he landed the Federal Police was already waiting for him... He escaped prison a few times even through the front door once 😂 Dude is insane...nowadays he's already out and coaches ppl on how to sell cuz according to him "if he sold things that didnt even exist, selling actual things isnt that hard". They made a movie about it called "Vips" its in portuguese but for sure there might be a version with english subtitles.
Why did she stop being a flight attendant I wonder. I've thought about doing that it seems like a legit gig *lol wait did I just watch three min of this and she says is this tom hanks lol* another edit (let's not lie this thing is an hour long) but ugh the way they set up his parents relationship wait is that a real thing you need four stripes to be a pilot
As always,I thoroughly, enjoyed your company watching this wonderful film . I am the opposite of a movie buff as this is the first time I have ever seen Tom and Leo act in anything and I see why they are both so highly praised. As for you not being afraid of blood, well, that is NOT surprising as you are Runanian and Transylvania is best known as the mysterious land of bloodthirsty vampires and howling wolves. which, as you know, is in modern central Romania.
Loved your reaction. I watched this movie in the theaters and I had the VHS. At the end there was an interview with the real Frank A. When you see his charm talking, you realize he could sell you a time share in a county jail. He was that good. It would be nice if you cosplayed as a pilot or flight attendant. I'm sure you would look great in uniform. There is a movie with few reaction (it's not a DiCaprio movie) that I would love you reacting to. It is called Back Draft. Great cast, intense and emotional.
Lovely. I give you 95/100. The only reason that your reaction wasn't perfect is because I would love to have seen Tom's face when Leo did, belatedly, return to The F B I offices after he went away for the weekend.
Sure, great movie. But you still need to watch the movie where he got his first Oscar nomination. "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" Young Johnny Depp too! Rawr!
Great choice and great reaction as always Miss Bisscute, love it 💓💓💓. For future reactions I suggest two movies starring Tom Hanks: Splash and Big and two films by Leonardo Di Caprio: Blood Diamond and the Revenant.
Lovely reaction, as usual. It’s important to remember that the currency ratio between then and now is about 10 to 1. I’m curious as to how working as a flight attendant nowadays is different from what was depicted in the film (understanding that the film is probably not accurate from that era either)?
If you Google Frank Abignale Jr., you’ll see several of his lectures. They’re fascinating how he actually got away with this and what his real thought processes were.

Thumbnail of the year Biss... awesome reaction to a cool movie. We didnt know we needed a tom and leo collaboration but im sure glad it happened. ❤ from fla usa
Another great reaction Biss, this movie its so good its one of my favourites and what a deluxe cast. And some fun-facts about this movie, it took 22 years for the book to be turned into a movie. and Frank Abagnale admits that the story was exaggerated. Carl Hanratty is based on several FBI agents who pursued Frank Abagnale, mostly one named Joseph Shea. If it were true-to-life, Christopher Walken would hardly be in this movie. In real life, Abagnale never saw his father again after he ran away. But Spielberg wanted to have Frank Jr. continue to seek his father's approval, to show up in his Pan Am uniform to impress him and seek advice from him. Jennifer Garner only had to work for one day. Spielberg had seen Jennifer Garner on Alias and thought she was about to become a big star. He was pleased that she was willing to take such a small role in his movie, and she was probably pleased, too: it only required a day of shooting. The film’s score was composed by the legendary John Williams, known for his iconic collaborations with Spielberg. Williams’ music enhances the movie’s suspenseful moments and injects emotion into the heartfelt scenes, creating an unforgettable cinematic experience. Frank Abagnale Jr. appears in a cameo role as a French police officer in the film. I think this adds an intriguing layer of authenticity to the movie, as the audience gets a glimpse of the real-life con artist. Keep up the good work.
$33,533,623.98 in Oct. 2023 equals $4,000,000 of buying power in 1969 (Average). The total inflation rate from 1969 (Average) to Oct. 2023 is 738.34%. The average inflation rate is 4.00% per year.
As you asked, here are some movies I would recommend: Road to Perdition (2002), Three Days of the Condor (1975), Das Boot (1981, but watch the directors cut from 1997 in German with subtitles), Twelve Monkeys (1995), Up in the Air (2009), Rush (2013)
Great reaction for a great movie. If you want to watch another great Spielberg movie with Tom Hanks, I recommend "Bridge of Spies" (2015). A very good movie, but less well known than "Catch me".
I can NOT "concur" with your wish to "conquer" Biss meaning, as you know, to overcome and take control of a place or people by military force. No need to send in the militia😀
Great reaction. When I first saw this, I burst out laughing and almost choked on some popcorn said the Lutheran thing. Really, what's the 1st clue. His age, the suitcases full of money?
It is a very good movie, but Frank's book is even better. It has so many more interesting details that couldn't be included without making the film twice as long.
For another good Tom Hanks movie, try "That Thing You Do". He co-stars and directed it. It is about a the American Pop Music industry in the 60s, and is quite fun, with catchy music. Other movie recommendations: Open Range - a western starring and directed by Kevin Costner Gossford Park - a who-dunnit set in an English mansion in the early 20th century. Huge ensemble cast. Boogie Nights - Ensemble drama set in the 70s porno world. This would be your first entry into the work of Paul Thomas Anderson writer/director.
I always loved this movie. My favorite Leo movie is still 'Gangs of New York'. It reminds me of my Irish side that came over and settled there about that time.
30:37 "In Romania, we have a saying: 'The calm cat scratches the worst.' " The best parallel I can think of in American English is, "It's the quiet ones you have to watch out for."
@@RobertJ-vo4bk correction, then... the film is based on claims made by an actual person. the truthfulness of the claims has been brought into question. there seems to be at least a grain of truth to some of the claims, but even that might be exaggerated. of course, this is all based on looking at Wikipedia, which is well known for its own problems regarding truthfulness. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Abagnale
Biss, another quality reaction. Glad you enjoy Spielberg's storytelling style so much. This film is so rich in various ways, even on repeating viewings. If you want to react to a Spielberg film that is very appropriate to the world's current difficult events, I also recommend 'Munich'. It has absolutely A-class performances from Eric Bana and Geoffrey Rush (also a pre-007 Daniel Craig!), and is also a very deep and moving story that makes the viewer ask questions. 9:00 they were doing sandwiching LMAO
I love this movie! The aesthetics of the 60s in film is always fun to watch. Plus you can't go wrong with Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks in a Steven Spielberg film.
23:02 "Just don't put yourself in this type of position." "What type of position?" "The position of being humiliated." He may have maneuvered you into making an embarrassing mistake, but don't take it personally, because that will make him harder to catch.
Great film, but take the 'true story' with a pinch of salt. Most of Frank's claims have been proven to be impossible and/or untrue, there are books and podcasts exposing him as a liar and a fantasist.
Ironically, the liar that passed all those events off as true was also named Frank. Frank Dux! They proved him false in some cases that were provable/unprovable, but it’s his story and he’s sticking to it.
Not even a pinch of salt needed. Nothing in the story is true. I think it makes the movie just as good. A con man conned all of hollywood and a big name director and actors.
@23:53 Movie Trivia: DiCaprio's character is using the alias Mr. Fleming here. Ian Fleming was the original author of all the James Bond novels (and I believe also a British spy in real life??)
😄 At 4:21 Christopher Walken is deliberately dancing in an awkward fashion. 🕺 In reality, he is actually an excellent dancer. You can check out some of his moves in "Pennies From Heaven" (1981), which is also a really fun film in general.
For more Christopher Walken (the Dad) check out The Dead Zone (a Stephen King novel). Also, try Wall Street for the iconic character Gordon Gekko. Or, maybe, The Firm with Tom Cruise.
Great reaction! Just a side note to help you out with your English. Thief you have to touch your tongue to your teeth to get that TH sound as you said Teef twice at the end instead of THief. Hope this helps!
Leo a bluddy good actor he can cover so many roles from a south african mercenary, handicapped son, American backpacker etc etc.try other movies like blood diamond, what's eating gilbert grape and the beach.
Concur Confirmed!! Now we get Whats Eating Gilbert Grape right with not only Leo your boyfriend but young Johnny Depp and smokin hot Juliette Lewis (so good in From Dusk till Dawn) as well
You were wondering how much was $25 in 1964. Well...it was a lot. I was 16 years old in 1971 when I was hired for my first parttime job working 20 hours each week for $0.85 per hour. It would have taken me 2 weeks of cooking hamburgers at Griff's Burger Bar to earn $34, and after 20% was deducted for taxes, my paycheck would have been about $27.
My used to be a booking agent for a speakers bureau, and Frank Abignale was one of her clients. She told me that he was the most charming man she’d ever met….and we got engaged after dating for 2 weeks. Lol
great movie , Do you Concur ?

@23:53 Movie Trivia: DiCaprio's character is using the alias Mr. Fleming here. Ian Fleming was the original author of all the James Bond novels (and I believe also a British spy in real life??)
I've never heard of this movie. It was a good movie and great cast. Thanks Biss.
😄 At 4:21 Christopher Walken is deliberately dancing in an awkward fashion. 🕺 In reality, he is actually an excellent dancer. You can check out some of his moves in "Pennies From Heaven" (1981), which is also a really fun film in general.
🥰🥰
For more Christopher Walken (the Dad) check out The Dead Zone (a Stephen King novel).
Also, try Wall Street for the iconic character Gordon Gekko.
Or, maybe, The Firm with Tom Cruise.
You gotta remeber this is in the 60's. Security was way more lax. Even 20 years ago airport secuirty wasnt as strict as today.
At last my recommendation to you was done!
I knew you would like it very much.
Much Love to You and Ukraine

Such a great movie. The first time I saw it many years ago, I hated it, but then it turned out to be one of my favorites.
The Mother behaviour may be sketchy, but honnestly if you realize your husband was a trixter and a crook, I think she deserve some understanding.
Biss, the opening intro title card still says "The Truman Show". 0:10
👍
Christopher Walken's performance was so good.
Great reaction! Just a side note to help you out with your English. Thief you have to touch your tongue to your teeth to get that TH sound as you said Teef twice at the end instead of THief. Hope this helps!
reupload?
nope
One of my favorite movies, Not sure if it was back then but today if you lie to an FBI agent you go to prison. Great reaction!
Bravo.
My used to be a booking agent for a speakers bureau, and Frank Abignale was one of her clients. She told me that he was the most charming man she’d ever met….and we got engaged after dating for 2 weeks. Lol
