Fanatec Shifter | Mishifting | Important details in the description!!! | 2024

Update as of Last Post...Today's date 3-19-2024. I have NOT had any issues mis shifting since my original post. I need to mention though just in case, I do have mine plugged into the wheel base. Now if I do experience any mis shifts I will update this comment again.

Update to this post from my stand point: I think Fanatec has fixed this issue with the latest firmware update. Ever since the release I have not experienced any issues at all with the shifter mis shifting and it has been over 2 months now. Firmware version: Wheelbase 1.1.8.5. Now if I do experience any mis shifts I will update this comment again. But it seems this issue is finally resolved.
I need to mention: This issue just cropped up after owning the product for several months now. I really have no idea why the issue started.
I seen this on you tube somewhere so I thought maybe it would help me? I could not find the original post. So I made a short video. In case any fellow Fanatec Shifter owners ever run in to this problem. I tried re-calibrating so many times which did not work. I have ran several races after doing this mod. So far 100% working as the shifter should. Go figure??
Update as of 11-2022:
This issue since I posted this video has surfaced again, so I went out on the internet and started looking for answers and this is what I found. On Karl Goslings site he stated that he tried several methods to solve this issue as well, but with no results that were permanent. So I followed his instructions and just removed the 4 allen screws and disconnected the connector that goes down to the H-Sequential pattern switch, reconnected it and reassembled the shifter. All working again. Maybe one day we will come across the reason why this happens. My suspicion is magnetic drift and not static. But maybe in time we will truly know? Next time I'm going to just repeat this process but not disconnect the wires and reassemble and post here as to what I find. Or if someone did or would do it. Post in the comments your results please.
