ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
How do you achieve soft skin tones without your images looking overly processed, unnatural or like you slapped a bad Instagram filter on them? That's what we're talking about in today's portrait editing tutorial using where I'm sharing a breakdown one of my favorite tools to get flawless, natural looking skin right within Lightroom: The Texture slider! I'll also be talking about the Clarity slider, which is better and when you should use each of them when retouching portraits in Lightroom. Let's dig in! :)
P.S. Have suggestions for a future Edit Together Tuesday video? Drop it in the comments below! I'd love to hear. :)

I went back and re-edited some favorite photos using these techniques. Big help!!
Such great instruction! You just don’t always find this level of clear, complete, useful detail (saved to my photography learning playlist). ☺️

This is very interesting. I shoot outside shoots so will be interesting to practice this method.
I thought this was going to be another average retouching tutorial… my bad! Thanks so much, absolutely killer tips here!
Thanks for showing how to use the texture slider. I hope Adobe adds range masks to the other version of Lightroom.
Straightforward, simple and downright amazing tutorial!!! Thank you! (BTW, you transported me back to the 90's when you mentioned the "mall glam portraits" at 2:25 Now I feel really old). HAHA!!
Thank you so much...

Thank you for this video & tips. I am going to try this soon.
I’m so happy you found it valuable Heather! 🤗💗
Really helpful. I much prefer Lightroom for it's speediness. This is so much faster than the stuff I see for Photoshop. Thanks for posting. Question: How does this differ from the "Soften Skin" brush preset? It seems much better.

Why are you shooting at 3200/sec with this photo? You could get your ISO lower. Just asking.
Hi, I have not retouching tools at all. The newest lightroom classic.
