Has anyone ever seen this Lightroom technique before today??? Im super curious if this is a first for TH-cam! 😳
Impressive. I like that you are giving us examples with both light and dark complexions.
Thank you for including an example with a POC.
You bet!
Very informative. (I did have to mute the sound a few times to make sure an icecream truck wasn't driving by the house ;) )
lol... most excellent! My subliminal message of making you crave ice cream is working exactly as planned🤣
First time on your channel ans i absolutely loved it! Not seen this before.. thanks so much for putting this out..
Nice! Welcome to the channel
Thanks! 1st time watching one of your videos!
Nice! Did I earn your subscription?
Like the light!
Thanks Kev! Im pretty pumped with it as well!
Great results and you definitely earned a sub! Can’t wait to try this technique out! Thanks for sharing!
That’s awesome! Glad to have ya :)
Great Video, really helpful and useful 👍👍👍
Thanks! Its crazy how good it is!
Thanks for showing this technique!
anytime :)
very nice work. Curve adjustment has been my most challenging use...your tutorial is very helpful. Thank you!!
Love it!
I love your simplistic approach but more darker skin examples, please. I definitely will try this to achieve a better balance in my editing.
sounds good!
Outstanding results! Can’t wait to give this a go!
Its amazing how easy and effective it is!
Great tutorial! Going to be giving this a try. Thanks!
you're welcome :)
thank you so much! Your clip is at the right speed and perfectly easy to follow.
That’s awesome! Thanks for letting me know
Definitely going to try this thanks 🙏
Love it!
First I've seen of this technique, really good. I think it might be good to use on product photogaphy. This is also only the second video of yours I watch, I have subscribed now. Thanks for the info.
awesome man! Great to have ya!
Amazing thats what I needed for saving the portraits of my client 😃
Love to hear it!
game changer for me thanks!
Lettts gooo!
Going to try these new tips on some of my old images.. let's see if I can get them looking good..
you got this! 💪
Thank you
Yep!
Very interesting feature for LR, thank you for showing it to us. I wonder if the same technique can be used to balance skin tones when LED lights are used and slightly blow out skin tones, in night club images? I've done a few DJ pictures, which have been ruined by club lights. I'll feedback after this weekend as I'm shooting at my festival.
I cant wait to hear how it works!
First time and it's seem pretty good !
Wooot! Love it!
First time on your channel. Great video that deserved a like. Even 4 months after this new Lightroom feature you showed an excellent application of curves inside a mask. Question: does the 'original' version of the 2nd model look like it has a little green tint, or is it just my monitor? After all you adjusted the color tone curve towards magenta.
It might be the monitor. On my screen it looks magenta, but it also could be that the TINT wasn't touched so could be slightly greenish.
Nice technique
thanks!
nice
thanks!
Thats a great Video😮! Is this technique in CAMERA RAW possible?
Should be, has the same masking ability.
i need to do something like this for flooring in a home. I am a Realtor and when the windows are open you get this sheen in front of the window on the floor. But your method doesnt work for that.
correct, this method wouldnt because its for skin tones. best way to do that is to either wait until the lighting is even like early in morning or near sunset. a cloudy day might help as well.
Question: If you are going to use the power of masks, why don't you apply this method to Face and body skin only and edit the rest of the elements (hair, cloths etc) separately. Select the face etc then intersect with luminence. Great method BTW.
You can absolutely do that. But for the highlights, to be super selective I think you’d still have to use a luminance mask. So you could intersect them.
First time to see you on TH-cam sup
Woooot!
It’s about the message …not the delivery.
Ok
Do like new light
loving the new light right now. Used it at a wedding this week and it was fantastic
first time I seen ya
Nice!
Ironically, in an AWESOME video about skin tones, the light you mentioned looks a little sterile and white on your face
Haha yeah, photo editing is my thing. Still working on the video stuff 🤣
@@willsimpsonphoto You are not alone in that. Killing it brother, keep up the great work
Are you editing jpegs?
This image was, but generally I edit raws.
@@willsimpsonphoto Great to know it works on compressed images I shoot a lot of Fuji JPEGs I love the out of camera colour but sometimes need to pull the skin tones down a bit
