I purchased this lens to get better pictures and video of my son playing basketball. I read that on the A6600 that its not f2-2.8 but f3-4.5. Is that true? I haven’t gotten to take pictures yet to see if it performs as needed with my A6600 but I got it for the f2-2.8.
The Lens is still an f2-f2.8 when used on the a6XXX cameras. What you read was concerning the field of view comparison regarding the APS-c sized sensor vs a full frame sensor. The aperture will be the f2-2.8. The camera DOES NOT limit this lens to f3-4.5. You will find that this lens is one of the best lenses to have on your a6600 for every occasion.
That is Pandora’s box. It really depends on what you’ll need the camera to do because a “jack of all” in the camera world will force you to sacrifice one or more specialized feature(s).
Brilliant, thanks again! The 2 things I was worried about were being too big on the smaller body and the 52-225 focal length. But it does look good and manageable and having f/2.8 at 225 would indeed be awesome if it keeps the good performance quality as ti basically becomes mid-range to telephoto lens.
I tried to include as much as I could and had time to film but with the work I do, most clients do not allow me to use their content after I deliver them. I would like to add more but I don't have the rights of use of the content.
It probably would. I personally use cages, and monitors on my camera for most shoots which helps out a lot but if you shooting photography the grip would give it a more balanced feel.
You should be able to find it at B&H, Adorama, Amazon…. I bought mine from Cardinal Camera. There should be an affiliate link in the description. Hopefully you can find one soon. Good luck.
The AF-C works very well, even wide open, for photography or video recording. If you do purchase this lens I would suggest getting the USB-C cable from Tamron so that you can customize the lens performance to your specific needs (and it is needed for firmware updates). Hope this helps.
Please show a demo of pictures and make a video full review with A6600 tamron 35-135 please

Great video! What would you say the best universal set up would be?

Thanks for sharing. Please next time try to include more stills/video samples I believe is better for us and your channel.

A battery grip would help with balance maybe?

Lens looks fantastic, but where on earth can it be purchased? Is it in the wild or still not available?

Thanks for this video.
Thanks for watching it. I hope it helped in some way.
Nice video & my CPL filter & the hood killed all the flaring
I was wondering how the af-c performs in indoor sports scenarios, if you tried it
