    1. Cut out the decal and dip it in warm water for 5 seconds
    2. Take it out and sit it on a paper towel
    3. Get some setter and put a drop where you want the decal
    4. Slide the decal off the paper and position over the setter
    5. Use a cotton bud and roll it over the surface to remove the excess setter
    6. Let dry for 5-10 Mins and then brush a small amount of softer over the decal
    7. Don’t touch it even if the decal gets wrinkled
    8. Let it dry naturally

      I’ve never done anything like this but em going to try it out with the Marvel Legends Target exclusive Thor Ragnarok. His eyes are red and want to paint them white and add water decal eyes.

    This vid was a lot more helpful than the instructions that came with my Gundam. Thanks!
    Short and straight to the point with some chill music.

    Is it better to remove top coat first before applying WSD? I already applied Matte Finish but I am planning on adding some decals on my kit

    so setter bonds while softer makes decals flushed?

    • @awesomeguy7624
      @awesomeguy7624 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Well the softer is meant to sorta melt it so it can better adhere to curves and go into pannel lines whilst bond is a glue to keep it there

    After the decal dries, is it scratch proof like the ones on barbie's eyes?🤔(I know it's not 100% scratch proof, but it's not easily removed either with one scratch😂)

    What would you do if you don't have the setter

    • @DarkTetsu
      @DarkTetsu ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You don’t need the setter. It’s only if you want to melt the decal around a curve or eat the clear portion of the water slide.

      @@DarkTetsu it might've been a year too late, but your advice will always be appreciated. kind stranger

    Could I also use Mr mark setter

  • @SwtAngelSakura
    @SwtAngelSakura 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Do you need to water for it to completely dry before applying the final seal?

    • @DarkTetsu
      @DarkTetsu ปีที่แล้ว

      I would let it dry in order to seal properly. Water can’t evaporate through a top coat.

    Is it better to topcoat before or after applying water slides?

      If the kit isn’t something super shiny or special surface I use it before and after
