I collect exclusively Nendoroids currently, so hearing them compared to Funko Pops saddened me (even if I totally get why), but I'm glad you liked the ones you got!
I mean…. It’s the most obvious comparison to make…. ever? I mean the premise is essentially identical. The only differences being the huge gulf in both quality and therefore price
@@zinkpot2 Comparing them to explain what a Nendoroid is to someone who doesn't know obviously makes sense, but beyond that, comparing them to Funko Pops has a negative connotation, when Nendoroids are much higher quality and capture their characters in much more detail
@@NotAquaRelated I already said that: aside from quality and price though, they have the same basic idea.
I collect nendroids and Funko pops
I dislike Funkos. They look even weirder than Nendos. Plus funkos are unposeable.
I actually really like Nendoroids, in fact I own 13 and counting and I agree some characters do not suit the Nendoroid style but all the cuties in this videos are perfect as Nendoroids! I've been wanting to get power and Denji for some time now but I going to wait for the anime in case I don't end up liking the characters. 😄
I understand why you like them! They are so posable and very cute :D i think you’ll like power and denji, they are the funniest pair XD
I too was NOT a fan of nendos because I thought they looked weird. But later I bought some. And before I knew it, I am a big fan now.
I felt the same way about nendroids up until recently. I have 4 on pre-order currently. It just takes the right Character to come along I think
People who don't collect nendoroids hate it. But once they get one of their favorite character they end up getting more lol.
What a lovely video. It was so interesting to see the unboxing while you talked about how you feel about the figurines, and the brand as a whole.
I gotta say, you make videos about figurines and stuff pretty fun to watch, even for someone like me who is not really interested in that stuff. Your enthusiasm really shows :D And damn I thought I had expensive hobbies...

I really don’t care for nendoroids for a lot of the same reasons you mentioned, but I preordered Power so I’m hoping she will change my mind! I just love that she comes with Meowy!
Some nendoroids do work and others like you showed weirds me the hell out😂. I definitely want to get the demon slayer ones
If ur planning on getting a Nezuko nendroid I definitely recommend being careful with her muzzle I broke it and it look a bit bad with hot glue lol
Plus the matte finish of Nezuko's black jacket is easily ruined.
The chainsawman nendroids are sooo cute😭 I want them!! but i totally understand what you say about nendroids, there are a lot that just...look kinda strange.

Respected your opinion until you compared them to Funko Pops. Customizable good quality figures with extra parts, limbs, insane detail, and individually personalized faceups are not comparable to same-face dot-eyed cube-headed unposeable plastic chunks.
i clicked on the video cause i thought you’re pretty and i was very curious as to your reasoning why you hate them. i’m not a big collector of them. actually, i don’t even have any (yet) though i did purchase two ddlc nendos (natsuki and monika only because i thought not much effort was put into sayori and yuri) but im also interested in collecting miku mirai & winter special nendos as well, but i do agree with what you’re saying. plus they can get quite expensive if you miss the preorder and all there’s left is scalpers when there’s no more vendors/third party sites to sell them! anyway it was nice to watch this unboxing and im glad you like them! :)
I've been hunting for that nanachi nendo for a time now just got to find one for a decent price and I totally agree that she is so adorable! I also agree that not all characters fit the nendoroid form but when they do some I feel turn out greater than expected.I initially planned on buying just one my yuna nendo from kuma kuma bear but then yuru camp happened and now I have 12 and more coming from pre orders and one of them is the absolutely amazing komi san nendo. Now thinking of getting the power nendo since I see one for sale and it is a great deal. I hope you get more too of your favorite characters they are absolutely cute together.

Same here, even with figma... but there's a couple I have the urge to buy. I'm a big fan of F. Corrin and FF13 Lighting and Sarah. The figma is basically the only option. For Nendoroids, the only ones I'm interested in are Riela Marcelis from Valkyria Chronicles 3 (again, because it's the only available option) and NANACHI! She really does work as a Nendoroid.
I also had the FF13 Lightning one, but I sold it because she looked out of place with my figures. I really wish she got a scale figure :(
I totally agree with Nendos feeling like funko pops hahaha! Those and qposket are just not for me.

Qposkets are so scary T-T I won a few on crane games, but I had to sell them right away because I didn't like them lol.

True. In my early days of unboxing, all figures I opened were "ruined", either some joints broke or the matte finish was rubbed off.

I can see the appeal but i never will buy one. I mean its pretty easy to hate them, they're overpriced for a small chibi figure with like 6 points of articulation and a few accessories, i saw someone review a nendoroid kobeni which barely comes with anything but still goes for 50 usd.
I don’t know that I would ever get into Nendos because they’re just so expensive for what you get but I might make an exception for the Chainsaw Man figure. Absolutely awesome figure!

I just bought my own firts ever nendoroid a week ago Tbh i like them but not all of them and there so freakin expensive. Its like buying a t shirt if you dont like the design dont buy it if you do by all means spend a few cash on them hehe
My attitude is similar. Nendroids are not my thing, but I have 1 Kancolle Hoppu and 1 Miku halloween. They were just something extra.

I actually love nendoroids! It’s because they have these cute heads bodies faces and hands, YOU CAN POSE THEM AND EVERYTHING
Nendoroids are my thing since I sadly can't afford the scales. 😭 maybe figure collecting isn't for me..
Collect as much as you can afford it.... Only buy figures u love....
Join the dark side. Joking aside it's a power struggle for collectors and what is enjoyable at the end from lowest to highest. I honestly get nendoroids for chibi cute/articulation. it's better than funko with dem beady eyes (even though I own at least 120 funko and rising since they've been releasing like MHA. It has a weird "collector value" + "stickers/chase stickers/limited edition chase stickers with their name printed on the box" and not the reselling kind, the characters I like), better than figma with the joints that you can see from a mile away (although articulation is where figma wins but it also cost more than nendoroids and they are both from goodsmile), better than banpresto for details and articulation where nendoroids have detail like an ichibansho/ichibankuji (those two are under banpresto but those aren't the prize figures). After that I just can't pay for the more highly detailed scale figures. I know I didn't add sega/pop up parades and anyone else in between but I'll mention that I got a couple of those and while they are better than banpresto, they don't have that something compared to nendoroids (with some exceptions to lower end furyu/taito). After figma are the big boys I can't pay for like 1/7 scale/b style 1/7 scale and the likes.
I understand what you mean with the power struggle! For me scale figures are definitely on top, but I of course understand that different people have different tastes and priorities!
