Losing any patient is so hard, especially with children involved, and rabbits are just terribly fragile. I know the family appreciates Neil and Chris and all they did to help Alice. RIP little soul.
"We're keeping her for 20 years. If she dies early I'm getting her stuffed." Best flippant one-liner from an Aussie pet owner I've ever heard on this show. I, too, have an unexpectedly expensive pooch and we better get many good years out of her! :D
All the Vets at Bondi Vet are so compassionate. The case of the little rabbit, Alice, broke my heart because of the little girls who loved her so much. Beyond that, I could see the genuine frustration for Chris, in losing her during surgery. I come from an animal background. We raised and showed Champion Schipperke’s, and as a kid, I also raised and showed French Lops, in 4H. It never gets easier when you lose any animal. I’m so impressed with the variety of animals that the Vets at Bondi Vet treat. It’s not just the small animals like cats and dogs. I’ve enjoyed watching them deal with the large farm animals too. I’m working my way through the videos, since stumbling upon Bondi Vets TH-cam channel. I wish surgeries weren’t blurred, because I find it so educational, as I considered being a Vet when I was a kid. Lisa, at Sash is amazing too. I love watching her cases, and how dedicated she is to helping her furry clients. Every Vet and person who works at Bondi Vet are incredible. Their hearts are definitely on their sleeves. I can’t wait to see more from Chris, Lisa, and the amazing team at Bondi Vet. Their clients are so fortunate to have them care for their pets.💕
My heart hurts for Chris. This never seems to get easier to deal with. As a vet you know in the back of your mind some animals just cant be saved no matter what you do and to keep on giving 100 of your heart and love for all creatures big and small takes a special human being. Chris and all the people who give their time and love to all God's Creatures have a special place reserved in Heaven. There truly are Angels among us.
That mama and those little girls are adorable. My heart absolutely breaks for them. And my heart breaks for the wonderful Dr. Chris and all the other amazing people that work there.
Dr. Chris you were so awesome with those little girls. I love the name of the new rabbit. You meant a lot to them. The care was so sweet. You don't find many doctors that would get down to their level and talk to them about there pet. God bless you and your great staff.
I had a bunny who had a fracture of her pelvis and nerve damage in her left rear leg. After months of NSAIDS and physical therapy and electroacupuncture, she was slowly beginning to get use back in that leg. Even without it, she could get around just fine! They do just fine with three legs!
That was sad to see the girls crying even worse watching Chris and Neil especially when you've done everything you can to save wee Alice 'She's in wonderland now ☀️ 🐇 but what a wonderful surprise for the girls, hugs for you all, you all are amazing 🤗🤗❤️
Can we just take a moment is admire how Bondi Vet don't put a pet down even in the worst cases, they always try to take a risk and no matter what kind of animal they are dealing with they take a rish, give them a chance, and always are doing the right this. God Bless these vet's ❤️
I cant stop watching these episodes. To have a vet you trust is a blessing in times When youre worried about your beloved Pet. I feel for that little girl to Lose an animal is heartbreaking
I can understand the amount of pain those little girls are in I couldn't imagine coming home and seeing one of my pets mysteriously injured. R.I.P Alice the bunny🐇.
aww those poor girls. you can tell alice was well loved. christopher rabbit will be well loved too, and i can guarantee they're a lot more attentive and cautious with him. rabbits are such fragile creatures. i used to have one and they're right, my rabbit used to try and climb in the weirdest places or the tightest spaces. they're very anxious little creatures, anything, even just a sudden twitch to the foot could set them off in a panicked frenzy.
Dearest Chris , I just saw the video about Alice the rabbit, and wanted to let you know you're an angel .. Thinking of the two little girls and their feelings..😘 well done .. And I loved how you blushed after they named him Christopher 😚 Sweet as.. I am sure Alice is in Wonderland heaven looking down upon you.. As you know Animals are also part of our Angelic universe.. it was Alice's time to go .. Sending you and your team love and light ..and thanks for all you do.😘
I had a Dutch rabbit named Twitch 2 years ago (his back would twitch when he ate). Got him in 2018 because of a bad relationship and he helped me recover and just filled a hole in my heart. It’s amazing what animals could do. He was my best friend full of crazy energy and super protective. Due to circumstances I had to rehome him and my heart was literally broken for a weeks. Idk if I could ever love a pet again and I haven’t been able to get another since then. In the end Chris was right about giving time to love again. Still not quite ready yet but someday I’ll get another one 💗
Dr. Chris is a wonderful for caring and loving God's creatures for us to love. I hurts my heart that the little girls lost your precious bunny Alice. She at the Rainbow Bridge hoping with all furry friends. So sad. May bunny Chris have a long, long healthy life with their love. So happy Ash is back to a healthy life.
with all these tick problems, i find it amazing that there’s no pre- treatment to keep them off. we have flea collars and safe flea and tick repellent here in the U.S. so i don’t get it why you guys don’t. i never hear recommended. ???? any reason for that? 🤔🌷🌱
yes there is prevention in australia, however, just because you use prevention, doesnt mean it works 100% of the time, im a vet assistant and weve had plenty of cases of animals coming in with fleas and ticks who were also using preventatives
It definitely depends on the prevention and where the tick attaches. My first dog had a tick collar on. She still managed to get a tick right in-between her toes on her right-hind leg, very far from the collar.
I could be wrong since I'm not a bunny owner, just an appreciator, but I assume they just had her in a travel cage? That probably wasn't her permanent home.
How local vet backed up to a neighborhood. There was a dog that lived in the neighborhood that was terrified of thunder storms. If it got loose it would run the Vet office for help.

I find it jarring to go into another animal's story when the bunny episode is not over yet.
This made me cry so many times
I remember putting down my first dog I cried for days
We can imagine 💔 so sorry for your loss! What were they called?
This video was really sad because bunnies are my favorite animal
chris is such an angel to do that for those girls

Maybe it depends on the species of tick
Yeah. Isn’t it ridiculous?! Yet the vets make things sound so grim instead of doing prevention.
Perhaps their country doesn't do it bcz tbh, their is harsh chemicals in any and all tick killing treatment that isn't organic or natural remedies

I suspect Neal is not wanting for his share of interest…I once heard him say he couldn’t resist a bad boy. I know a few who would fit that bill.🖤🇨🇦
I’m a bunny owner and it’s a heart breaking
My question is why this poor bunny has been captured in such a tiny cage ?

I hope so
It's like a cat carrier for cats no way that bunny could live in such a small cage I think it would probably go insane

I hope not

Alice's story is heartbreaking, I so happy those little girls got a second bunny to love. They even named him after Chris which is so sweet.
I bet Chris blushes and gets embarrassed when people name their pets after him
Dog walks out: the man : the dog me: bahahahhahahahahha
heartbreaking !
Poor bunny
My dog she was 2 and died do to a paralysis tick

Hello
Honest question, why no mask during surgery? That is not a sterile field.
Heya everyone
Wasn't this episode posted on this channel a long time ago? So just a repost?
