My family moved from SweetWater to Kendall in 2005 and I had a wild time in Kendall because I was a freshman at Ferguson high school and those times Kendall was crazy with the house party’s in Lakes Of The Meadows to Ranch Party and also The insane asylum in Krome ave everyone will go there at night on the weekends lol
I lived in Kendall from 2005 to 2007. It was such an amazing time. I was always shopping at the Dadeland Mall and playing basketball at the park next to Killian highschool. O.J. Simpson lived down the street from Killian highschool and I spotted him one day in 2006 stopping at a red light in front of Killian high. So many great shops and restaurants up and down Kendall drive. I saw judge Alex one day at the Kendall branch library on 97th ave. Seems like he had just finished going for a morning run. I remember in 2006 when Paris Hilton made an appearance at the Dadeland Mall. Boy did I have a blast living in Kendall. The economy was always booming there and there were always a ton of jobs hiring. Living in Kendall was so peaceful and I met a lot of great people there.
I think I may move there as a starter? So I can move over there sooner. I lived there when I first got married. I enjoyed that everything by close by. Stores, and good places to eat out.❤ I do have a soft spot in my heart for it!
That was awesome! You are so knowledgeable. I think I would like to enlist your services as my realtor! Wait...you are my realtor and you are AWESOME!! #CountdowntoClosing
I used to live in Kendall like in the 2nd year of marriage. It was super nice! It was the nicest area to live in the mid 80s? Idk how it is now..Curious.🤔
Kendall ends on SW 136 Street. Richmond Heights, Coral Reef High School is not part of Kendall. And from 137 Ave SW Kendall continue to 8th Street it doesn’t end on Miller. You are cutting of the Braddock High School, Ferguson High School, Mother of Christ Area (I reference the schools for location)
Hey! Thanks for the love! Busses in the area run until midnight. There are MANY restaurants in Kendall. I'd say the biggest chunk of them are all along Kendall Drive or 88th St. 🙂
There are restaurants everywhere especially around in and around the dadeland mall area as well as the mall at 117ave and kendall Dr forgot the name they keep changing it. Theres a good cluster around 97 and sunset Dr as well as nearby south Miami around sunset place mall thats a big restaurant and bar hub for sure. 127 and Kendall Dr as well as kendall village mall and across the street its about 122 and kendall Dr basically all round where kendall drive and the turnpike intersect. 107 and kendall drive has a few as well. Restaurants are scattered everywhere but those are a few of the biggest clusters at the top of my head right now. Oh all along bird road from about 87 ave to 117ave has tons as well then again at about 137 ave to about 147 ave has more as well.
@@AngieMBlanco oh yeah I grew up as a 12 to 15 year old here it got so bad 😞 we moved me leaving my girl my friends 152 and sunset was so dangerous just to buy a snack did not garante you come home. It's why that lil McDonald's shaped building thier is a office now. Inp, Latin Kings, Nietas, Folks, Crips, TnS , Ms13, The 152's omg it was a jungle bad, thank God litterly a Police Gang unit came with force with a true passion to help our Generation put in work for the peace you see today. Today you can walk, jog, Ride bike, skate all without thinking 🤔 watch your back. I pray it never ever goes back in Jesus name.
@@AngieMBlanco Now I moved back wow beautiful 😍 shopping malls schools new buildings , parks, plp, ECT it's as if I stepped into a new dimension. Just alone here we have a place that you can go in and have humongous trampolines I haven't been there myself but I hear that his air things too. You also have a very calm club scene but you have to go dress nicely. I'm talking about the Town country area. You have beautiful parks to enjoy nature the scenery birds walk your dog you name it everything your video has shown is truly what it is today and I'm happy to be back.
Might be a silly question (i know) Is it safe for immigrants? I actually fell in love with Redlands, Homestead and Kendall area but i was afraid that indian(asian) wont be accepted here
Hey there! I can assure you that Miami in general is a melting pot of all different cultures and people, so we are all used to it and welcoming of anyone from anywhere. If anyone is not accepting of another person, that is really their own short-coming. Nothing you should be worried about! Let me know if I can be of any help.
There are gators in the water, always assume any body of water in kendall has Aligators and snakes. i have seen them first hand, in fact Kendall campus had one in the water and students would feed it. Here is a story for those who grew up in Kendall back in the 80's. There use to be a park were people would swim with a water fall and a golf course, there were Gators in the water we would be watching them, supposedly there was a net in the water, I honestly do not remember the name of the park, but I remembered the Gators in the water.
We've been fighting to stay unincorporated since Jesus was in diapers. Every year they try to incorporate us, and every year we vote it down. I'm a transplant from Chicago since 1989 , living first in Virginia Gardens, then Miami Springs, then finally to my heaven on earth, "except after Hurricane Andrew," in Kendall, I won't live anywhere else either. Loved the way you put the brakes on desscribing the traffic here, thanks to Lennar for over building the area with all the townhouses. People are renting efficiencies in their garages for $1800 a month around where I have my house, ridiculous. Loved the video, New Sub, maybe I run into you at Costco 😆 🤣
99% don't even know english and the traffic is beyond a nightmare there are gangs and crime although not as bad as most of Miami crime is still very high compared to most the USA. Most jobs pay peanuts and won't hire you unless you know spanish and rent and real estate is on par with manhattan and LA. But yet kendall is nothing but gridlock traffic with a red light every 2 blocks shady strip malls everywhere full of homeless people selling stuff and begging at every street light and run down apartment complexes with a few houses here and there. Besides restaurants and movie theatres you have to drive two hours through the gridlock Miami traffic and pay $20 worth of tolls and another $20 for parking just to get to the beaches and exciting night life that Miami has to offer. If spanish is your first language you are wealthy but don't mind living in a trashy apartment complex for a half a million or a mediocre house with bars on the windows and neighbors parking on the sidewalks for a million+ bucks and don't mind lots of crime and obnoxious loud trashy rude people that drive like maniacs and spending hours in traffic to get anywhere than kendall is for you. Have fun with that 🙄🙄 🤣😂 unless your moving from a 3rd world country you will get sick of Miami real fast. if your coming in from another part of the usa and want to live in a big city in Florida look towards Tampa or Orlando avoid Miami. Taking an exciting vacation and staying on the beach for a week or two can be fun but living in Miami is a pure nightmare for most civilized people from the USA.
Angie, congratulations for the great video you have put out. I loved your funny way to pass on knowledge and content. Do you also have an instagram profile? thank you for your time.

Aw, that's great! Yes, there's definitely a lot to do here. Come on over 🙂
Dear, I want to come to kandall from Bangladesh,
and I want to live,
It is possible?
Yes, it's possible. Reach out and I'd be happy to help.
There was not a whole lot of Apartment choices there at that time? But I noticed now that now there sure is...🙂 And they're like pretty affordable.
There are plenty of apartments here now 🙂
I never explored Kendall that widely? Thanx for this video. This could be an alternative for me for a house Rental when I move back..🏝
Thank you for all of your support! If you need any help finding a place, feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to ☺️

I am coming from NY to check out the area, can you recommend a basic hotel with a pool?
Sure, there’s the Hilton on Kendall Dr, Best Western on 124th Ave, or the Marriott on Dadeland Blvd
love the video , moving soon from europe to miami , btw what's your dogs names!!
Thanks for watching! That’s so exciting!! What brings you here??
I have two dogs, Piru & Gaia!
I live here it's much better then the 90s gangs are gone or guess grew up. Plp are nice and it's multiple ethnics.

Haha some motivational speaker told you to speak with your hands and you really listened to that
Bingo 😉
Are there a ton of alligators in them lakes???
There shouldn't be! The lakes are well maintained and I've never seen one around here, but it is South Florida, so you never know...

Oh my goodness. What a shame that you've had such horrible experiences here...
Que exagerado! In Kendall most are bilingual in my experience. This is Miami, after all!
I'm sorry you're poor and only speak English.
You're delusional, Miami is not Portland, Camden, Newark, South Bronx, or Skid Row LA etc.
You have quite the imagination.
