Thanks guys! you took me back many years (decades actually) to my childhood. You have chosen a great neighborhood, well at least it was from 1964 to 1966. I lived in the LAGOON as it was referred to locally back then. Harbor Drive was home and Shark, Gulf Stream,Tuna, Dolphin, Marlin, Yellowtail and Grouper was my play ground. Old Sue M Moore School (long closed) was a tuff place to attend as all four classrooms looked out over the gulf. Marathon was a different world back then, it is still paradise even with all the changes. My wife and I vacation there as much as we can. 😎 Love your videos guys and good luck in your new home.
I loooove the bike ride videos!! Please keep them coming! It is like a stroll through summer paradise- just what I need in the rainy cold weather here in Germany. 😀
These guys are the best! Looking for my forever home in the keys and they are both patient and let me set the pace and keep sending me listings to see if i’m interested and believe me when I find “the one” they will be at the settlement table with me!
Thank you so much Jeff! We know buying a home here is a big decision, a lot of things need to be considered, and much research needs to occur ahead of time. We feel that when the right one comes along you will know it and we will be there to help navigate the process and give our honest opinion of the property. 😀
as of Aug. 2023, “median list price of all marathon houses listed for sale in last 12 months is 2 MILLION, 950 thousand. ! Increase of 136% since last year in Marathon.” source, Rocket Homes ( other sources similar info…)
Just saying Marc and Lorrie, love to follow you two in the Keys, selling realty!. Love following you two in the Keys! Big deal is what the insurance and flood insurance requirements are! And this week I heard the Govennor of Florida say's that yo have to be insured in Florida! If you buy insurance under the Florida Legislature, that any of us that owned under this plan would have to pay a portion of any over policy funds required to repair the claims if the company went bankrupt!!
Good to see a new video. Been a while. I am still trapped in Delaware. Still want to move there. I look every day. The prices are killing me. I need to use my VA loan.
Some 3 in 1 oil or maybe Schaeffer Aluminum Complex Grease might want to try aluminum complex. Like the videos. Also watch out for alligators 🐊 and hippies it’s breeding season soon for both of them.
Working to get the money to afford rent + deposits for a house in the keys. Up here in Oregon thr market is practically unlivable, and the weather is bipolar. Hopefully see you soon sunshine state
Hi Adrian, the majority of homes in the Keys can park their RV in their yard as long as there is enough space. You can't "stay" in it but can definitely park it and plug it up. We do that with our RV to keep the ac running a little to keep things fresh while we are not using it. We actually have a small house listed now with lots of room for an RV. Just give us a call, text, or email and we will be glad to help you. Mark Gable, Coco Plum Realty, cell - 770-561-6091 or markgable@me.com.
We are from Gainesville and Canton. We were both teachers in Hall County and Cherokee County for years. Maybe we've seen you around! Thanks for watching!
I will go the opposite direction. If you know anyone looking to move inland say Tennessee. Our family farm is for sale in Blount Co. in East Tennessee.
You picked one of the nicer neighborhoods. There are some less nice places, too. But if your target audience is millionaires looking to relocate, this is nice enough.
Hi Steven, yes we sell properties in all areas of the Keys from Key Largo to Key West. Please feel free to call, text, or email if we can help you with anything. Mark Gable, Coco Plum Realty, 770-561-6091, markgable@me.com. Thank you for watching!
The Keys might be the American version of Venice. The county is already planning to raise some roads and applying for grants to help raise some houses 😃
What does a tornado in Kansas, a hurricane in Florida, and a divorce in Mississippi have in common? Someone's fixin' to lose a mobile home. 7 night rentals may be a financial boon to the renter, but they can be a nightmare for neighbors who want to live in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood and not be kept awake by loud parties.

Friend of mine is doing some major Remodeling on the X Carter properties, I don't think that's more than a foot above sea level in Marathon
There seems to be no traces of hurricane Ian.
Remarkable clean up job!
The Keys didn't get hit hard like other areas of Florida.
@@GablesOnTheGo
Ah! Okay!
@@GablesOnTheGo
Okay!
Good to learn of this.
Hope we see more of these videos. On bikes and car. Nice to see what's on sale. Also like when you take tours of the inside of the places for sale to.
We will do our best.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Mark, we were down in Marathon in Feb. Rode our ebikes past mm 56.1. Who owns that house at the end of Burnt Point?
Would love to see your new house one day!
We hope to one day when we get all settled in.

Sounds like a good plan. I am sure Oregon is beautiful but we do love our sunshine!
Did we miss ya'lls house on the tour?
What neighbor is that. Looks quite and love the trees and shrubs
Behind the airport
Gread video! How is your camera/phone mounted on your bike?
Thanks Tim, I did used the bike to mount the camera, a go pro mount with Hero 10
Please talk about ROGO and no more building permits
That is a great topic we need to address Dennis. Thanks!
I would love to have a small house there, but we would need the room to park our 42" Class A motorhome. Do you have any properties like that?

Plumerias and Orchids
Just saying that any Idea I had to move to Florida, is now gone! Most of my friends are in GA, or SC!
Ours are in Georgia too but we added new friends here 😎
I could afford the house but not the flood insurance on top of it. Besides one day not far off the Keys will be underwater.
I live in Sebastian Flarda and 4 miles from water. Cheapest insurance I can find? $5000 year. I can only imagine what it is there.
The Keys might be the American version of Venice. The county is already planning to raise some roads and applying for grants to help raise some houses 😃
Everytime I’ve gone there it’s been cloudy. Worst luck ever
That can happen sometimes, sorry about your luck.
Living there would be a fantasy come true. I should have worked harder and partied less
LOL, 20 20 hindsight!

There are a lot of options in the upper Keys. Give us a call when you are ready to discuss 😀
