Another benefit of the above ground concrete pool is you can have easier conversation with non swimmers on the other side of the wall. Kinda like a swim-up bar.
Only able to watch half of the video...need to head to work. What a beautiful place! Can't wait to finish watching your video. Your weather looks amazing. Can't imagine this place would stay on the market for long. What a beautiful spot! Thanks for sharing.
Love watching your videos, we came down to key west today and will be coming back up tomorrow , we live in Tennessee and came to Florida on vacation so after watching your videos we decided while we was this close we would come down for a few day.
What's the rental rate? How many days per year can you expect it to be rented? Who manages the rental if the owners are not local? What profit did the previous owner make? Why are they selling the home? When was the last time the home flooded? These are the kinds of questions I'd like to see answered in a video like this.
Those are some really good questions. The market has a wide variety of rental homes that would really make it difficult to answer unless you are looking at one specific home. If you are interested in a vacation rental purchase please give us a call, text, or email. Mark Gable 770-561-6091, markgable@me.com, Coco Plum Realty, Marathon, Florida 😎
You might include some numbers on the rental income/expenses on this home. Without knowing that there is no way I could justify it as a million dollar property.
Found yalls channel just a few days ago and have watched around 10 videos already. I love yalls personalities and the videos! I’m also from Georgia but currently living in Maryland. I’m looking to get a duplex down there in the fall.. hopefully a 3 or 4 BR to use as a long-term home, long term rental, and Airbnb. Any advice on where in Marathon is the best for late 20s/early 30s? And would y’all always recommend stilts? Saw a few multi family properties in the 400s/500s but worried about the flooding/insurance. Would be happy to work with you guys but can’t buy until the late fall.
Hi John! Sorry for the delay, sorting through many comments and a super busy real estate market these days. Give us a call when you get ready and we can answer your questions. 770-561-6091
Thanks for the insurance information. As an educated guess, would you say that a house half that cost (say $500,000) would be about half the insurance cost of this home. I am hopefully about to get a job down there and we have been looking at raised homes on the little canals around the 500k mark. Thanks again for all the great information.
Love your videos and I have learned a lot. I have a few questions about this house. Did the house get any wind damage from the last hurricane or water intrusion? What is the weekly rental rate? You mentioned the rentals are handled by another group. How much does it cost to have the rental managed by someone on the island and how much is the cleaning fee?
Nice video. Are people raising homes there? I live on the Texas Gulf coast and many homes in my neighborhood are being raised and FEMA is paying for a very large chunk of the costs. These are homes that were flooded during Harvey. Our neighborhood is right on the water, much like the Keys (not as nice of course).
Love watching your videos! My dream is to own a home in the Keys, and we will definitely be contacting you if we are able to make that happen. In the meantime, we will be down in Key West for a week in October and plan on visiting a friend that lives in Marathon during our visit (and to drive around window shopping for our new home 🤣)
Beautiful house ,BUT not crazy about that master bedroom being ground level , & not very far from the Gulf , water , if a storm , not even a Hurricane . I build some sort of retaining wall on that whole side / Back end or there call the Front . But. Glad to see u guy’s & hope ur business takes off , sure u have times busy & slow etc.. but do you & Lori still renting the House u have been at since the Beginning , with the nice Dock & large pool outside !!! Nice to see u Both ..
Love ya back. I was so happy to see you two again, As you sit there in the warmth and sunshine we are having very hard rain storms here. It has been raining constantly since last night and is to continue through the week off and on until the weekend. My time is getting shorter for coming to FL. I leave on 4/26 and the first night I will stay with my friend Diane and her husband at their home in Milton, FL and then the next day Diane and I will head to the condo I rented for the two weeks at Navarre. I am so ready, but sort of upset that I have not had my Covid shots yet. I have my name in everywhere, but nothing yet because PA messed up and we ran out of the vaccine. If the Johnson & Johnson one comes through before I leave I would rather get that since it is once and done. The airlines right now are not requiring me to prove that I do not have Covid, but who knows if that will change also. I do have an appointment for the test to be done 3 days before I fly, just in case. With my luck, I will test positive and won't get to go. However, I am keeping good thoughts in my little pea brain and with any luck the Good Lord will help me get there and be safe. My friend keeps sending photos to me in her text messages of the beach. This two weeks of being in FL is so important to me, for it will most likely be the last she and I will get together. A 52 year friendship is amazing to me when we have not lived near each other for about 44 of those years. I will spend my 76th birthday with her. Do good to see your smiling faces again. Wish I could meet you, but I will be the whole way over on the Gulf. 💜💛

How did this home fair during hurricane Irma?
