My 61 was bought in Idaho and transported to Homestead . It sat inside a horse barn for two years with two other antique trucks. They were eventually all going to Puerto Rico by the owner, but those plans fell through and they were offered for sell. I was able to reach the owner who lived in Idaho, he told me he bought it in California at a police impound yard in 1994.
He said it was also stored inside his garage.
I bought its barn buddy a 1962 GMC 1000 with 305 V6. Solid Arizona truck.

This is your best video yet. I've been self teaching myself to do this for a long time. I feel like I take too long Your high speed bodywork shows me that is takes time and patience. Subscribed. keep up the great work.

Thanks Lefa! This is the vehicle I’m learning on as well. The time lapse makes it seem like it’s not a big deal but 1 hour of work is like 1 minute of footage haha.

just finished watching 1 - 6 of your build. Fun to watch. I have 62 half cab. These are neat. You are doing a lot of work. What are your plans? Making this 2 wheel drive? That PTO drive and winch is a very neat option. Your videos are the right length. Many guys have 10 minutes worth of information but blab on and on with filler, for a 30 minute show. Keep up the good work!!

Nice work! I have a similar project coming up and was wondering how you set the body up to hoist off the frame and to tilt. Keep up the good work and cant wait to see the final result... Cheers

My 61 has the same rot in the rear where the fender and bed join. A thin line not really noticeable from the inside.

Great video! I'm getting ready to start on my '63 Scout 80 and have never welded before. I think I'm going with the Eastwood welder as well. How did you get the curves to match in the front and rear quarter panel patches? Did they come like that when you bought them?

Hey! Eastwood is a great starter welder. Will last you for a while. The panels came straight and I took a lesson on metal shaping. It’ helps to have a solid panel to Make a template with and then it’s a lot of hammer and dolly.
