I have had an 08 and now driving an 11. Both have been some of the most fun I have ever had in a car. I wish I had a shop around here capable of doing this swap. Rural Kansas isnt exactly Honda country.
@@s.c342 no but I might honestly. Going to be built k20 with pulsar GTX 3076 Gen 2 with emu black or fuel tech 550 with the race dash. Looking for 500 at the wheels I'm hoping anyway

I have a k24z7 and trans with 09-10 tsx harness/ecu waiting to swap my GE just waiting on mounts and axles before I start tearing things apart. The a/c wiring would be a nice addition to my info
6:24 The only thing i can see would be the aftermarket muffler. Some places are sticklers for it, an Oem one would be needed to pass smog in most places, But that would be it. Just the muffler itself.
What if youd cut the floor to make space for the crv awd transmission and a driveshaft. Would this be feasible? It obviously wouldnt be a bolt in operation but hell of a built. How much space is there really is?
I would buy all the parts for what u developed because of your videos Thank u for the awesome content and parts that serve a community I would do this body over an older civic just because of more rust free bodies, and a lower chance of butchered cars and electrical harnesses
Ive got a 3rd gen crv, is there any way to make it tunable? Its AWD with a civic si manifold and id love to go for boost but i cang see it being feesible unless i can tune the ecu or if theres another way around it
I really, REALLY hope Y'all put together a swap guide for this. Specifically a guide to navigate through the myriad of info out there ( especially for non-Honda savvy guys like me..) about which engine and trans combos best work to accomplish their goals I've got a 2009 Fit and have pretty much made up my mind to K swap it. With a turbo, and would really like to make @ 400whp. For daily duty and 1/2 mile drags or mile type runs.
Man been looking at fits in my area to buy just for that reason. Was thinking if the price is right I may try to buy.... 2min later its sold 😢. Love the work put into it, hopefully can get 1 for myself soon.
Regarding California emissions, I was under the impression that the motor you swap must come from the same model. Since the Fit never came with a K series engine, this wouldn't pass emissions, correct? Even with all the stock parts, I don't think it works like that.
Re: the title, I don't think the Fit would still be in production. A Fit Si with even worse MPG than a normal Fit would be even worse for CAFE under the footprint rules. The footprint rule is *so punitive* on small cars with 'big' engines (be it Fiesta ST or anything else), they just can't be sold in North America. 😐 No wonder so many auto makers take the easy way out and only sell large footprint (higher MPG allowance) SUVs (+40% "light truck" MPG allowance over cars). I think the footprint rule is partly why, even though the Civic & Civic Si is "only" a 1.5T, it's still beneficial to Honda towards Honda's CAFE to make the footprint (wheelbase x track) of the Civic as large as possible -- hence the Civic being Accord-sized these days and it not being worth Honda's while to sell anything smaller in North America. 😔 Those footprint and light truck rules annoy me a bit as they seem a bit ass-backwards. Granted, it still impacts full-size SUVs like the Jeep Grand Wagoneer a bit as now that needs to come with a 3.0L turbo Hurricane instead of a Hemi V8, but overall it's less punitive on those types of vehicles than on Fiesta STs and hypothetical Fit Sis (or even normal Fiestas and normal Fits) that need to meet impossible high MPG because they are cars with a small footprint -- and so they just get withdrawn and no one sells small cars at all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ...

Omg the video just dropped! The Fit is Goooo
Would be neat to build a team specifically for swaps for customers, along side the crew at Hasport. Could open up more doors?
