    I'm totally new to all this tuning, and you really helped explain it all. Thanks! I just got a 22 ST, and I'm considering doing the same. But how do you keep from letting the Ford dealer know about changes and voiding your warranty? Is there a "tune reset" that erases the mods from the log so they can't say, "You broke this or that," and then void the warranty? GREAT VIDEO!

      @HoustonSpeedFreaks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey man first off I appreciate the awesome feed back and love that I could help you out 😁
      And there really isn’t a way for you to hide they look at key cycles because every time you upload a tune it restarts the number of key cycles. So they can see if you have 20k miles and only turned the car let’s say 5 times lol they know you probably were driving far every time you turned the car on. Really you have to find a dealer that doesn’t mind you modding it’s different dealer to dealer. The ford dealer near me follows me on TikTok and TH-cam and even wished me luck getting into the 11s which I did 🤣

      If your worries about your warranty get the ford performance tune. It won’t be as good as an after market tune but you will maintain a 3 year warranty, from purchase date of your car.

    I have a 2021 ST and your ch gives me some ideas about what I'd like to do with mine. I'd like to find out just how much tire you can fit under an ST without any issues. the 285's are good but physics is a thing, and more contact patch is a good thing so long as there are no real tradeoffs. hope you get to dyno what all your changes add up to.

      Appreciate it man! if you have any questions just let me know 😁 I forget I think it's 315 is the biggest but I could be wrong I know you'll start hitting the shock at a certain point. I've seen people run 295s on the stock 21s.

    Right on! You’re video encouraged me to get the tune for my stock 20 ST. How many revisions did you need to upload just for stock set up? Just sent my 1st data log for 2500-6000 and waiting. Do you know what Adam means when he says DMS will be turned on with rev01? DMS is what exactly?

    • @HoustonSpeedFreaks
      @HoustonSpeedFreaks  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m so glad my videos could encourage you to do that 😁 Took 3 revisions if you selected DMS tune that stands for (drive mode select) when you were buying the tune you got to select what you want for each drive mode. So every turn of the mode select dial you change the tune.

    Adding huge intercooler with the HP tuner should bring big smile to your face - drop 2 secs off 0-60. Get a Dragy. 👍

      All of them on the market are similar in size and perform dang near identically as well cvfab happens to be the best bang for your buck and they offer a lifetime warranty which is sweet they stand behind their products like that

      Once done can I program the tuner to 93 octane and just plug into the car? And use my phone to load the custom 93

    • @HoustonSpeedFreaks
      @HoustonSpeedFreaks  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @rossmarlin4947 it reads the base map of the car it might work off your phone for the initial read but mine didn’t I had to do it off my laptop. And then yes as long as you tell your tuner your using the TDN app he will send them via that way

    Good long video but wanna cut to chase, how much HP can you get out of this? I kno you got two tunes 93 and e50 how much ho did you get from each more less?

    • @HoustonSpeedFreaks
      @HoustonSpeedFreaks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So 93 expect roughly 70whp gains and e50 expect roughly 100whp gains
      Explorer makes 400hp to the crank from the factory……to the wheels stock they make roughly 350whp. So do the math….now again that’s a rough estimate. In all honestly both tunes are %100 worth it
