All the butthurt comments are hilarious. Apparently he’s showing off just because he speaks a few sentences in Japanese.
As a fellow white Japanese speaker, I will say a) what he said was pretty basic, but it would require some skill to be able to bring it out spontaneously like this. Also, his pronunciation is excellent, and the woman’s reaction is painfully authentic.
0:22 his wife is Nihon, and what about me ??? I'm Anime Otaku
Maybe you are America.
Man, speaking different languages is an amazing skill and one of the most useful no doubt.
I knew there was a reason Ajax was my favorite Warrior
Kudos to him for getting that far :) He seems a natural at languages. I've been a fan of his acting forever since I was a kid.
Damn Ajax, that is amazing. Don't tell Swan or Cleon ok?
Damn I never knew Harry Morgan was the bay harbour Japanese speaker.
That guy is full of surprises!
"Wow, you're fluent!" "What?"
I should release a full interview of this. We talked in Japanese for like good 5 minutes long! :)
Kaoru Koike please do it
I've always dug James Remar but he just got cooler and more suave than I ever thought possible
As an interviewer having a guest surprise you with a skill, you show surprise once and throw a compliment then allow the guest to proceed (whether they continue or slow down showing their skill) and take it from there. Here, you've shown surprise and disbelief about ten times in 50 seconds. In fact, so much that your guest is repeating your surprise at the end (it's not good when a guest repeats a host. It shows discontinuation of the conversation).
Anyway, I mean this comment with good intentions (and also being a linguist I specifically care about meeting of languages). It's cool that you were there meeting stars and I wish you the best. That looks like a fun day and thank you for sharing.
I remember he played an impressive part in "The Warriors (1979)"
Ajax from the Warriors xD
he always will be ajax the toughest among the warriors
I don't know fam, Snow is a brute as well

i want to learn japanese
His intonation is simply amazing!
I am Japanese. His pronunciation is good. He speaks like a neighborhood uncle lol
Ajax is so good man it’s cool he speaks Japanese
めっちゃうまい!!
Why is it always so admirable to hear a celebrity speaking a different language? So well, especially when he's clearly not half himself. It tells a lot about a person's character that they would take time to learn somebody's culture, enough to speak their language and communicate with them. When they have no ties to the culture, personally themselves or genetically, it just means that they were very, very interested and took an action on something
Wife is Japanese
james: speaks japanese

Oh yes fuck
He is such a great actor, he really does sound Japanese
Hehe no way! His wife is Japanese.. well well. Yea, he speaks ok.
I am always in awe of anyone who can speak multiple languages! And he's so easy-going and natural about it!
do you speak Ukrainian or are you just a low iq band-wagon jumping virtue signaling lil b* that puts up a flag in a conflict they know nothing about?
