I SO wish I could have attended some of these talks. When I first became spiritually converted to Catholicism by READING MYSELF INTO the faith 30 years ago, I was STEEPED in traditional Catholicism, but when I finally was able to enter (which was surprisingly difficult) I was SHOCKED at the moral degeneracy. It seemed like every Catholic I met who was married had lived together before marriage. All of the unmarried people were either in the process of living together or were just having sex here and there and everywhere. Most were contracepting. Most did not even know much of the faith they were disobeying. I came to Catholicism out of a Hindu convent, only to find that the Hindus were FAR more traditional. Bizarre. Stumbling across Fr. Repperger has been a blessing. FINALLY I get to hear of people who are grounded in real traditional Catholicism. I've learned a lot with him. If Fr. Repperger had not put his talks online, I would have never heard any of this because I am disabled and I don't get around much. God bless him. I pray for him every day.

"Obedience..." St Benedict had a rule: "To obey my superiors in all things rightful."
That must be a modern translation of the Rule. St Benedict recommended that if he was commanded to do something impossible by a superior he could protest, once, then he was to do it, impossible or not, trusting in God. It wasn't the kind of attitude that weighed whether the superior has a right to command. That's a very modern, American, secular way of looking at the world.

The first question reminds me of St.Joan of Arc, where she was technically condemned by a Church Court, which was later overturned and she was canonised a Saint.
She is the first to come to mind.
Yes, St Joan of Arc is a type of the Church. She was always pure, never contradicted herself, persecuted, triumphant in the end.
I once read a very long biography of St Joan, translated from the French, which included extensive passages from her trial. She was illiterate of course, as nearly everyone was back then, but had great intelligence combined with the simplicity of a dove. The long, cleverly worded questions of the lawyers were answered with brief simplicity full of trust in God. When she was canonised, a small statue of her was placed in the Anglican cathedral in Winchester, overlooking the tomb of one of her persecutors. The guides point this out.

I disagree. I think he is always point blank. He did a video on communism. It is long but very to the point in everything I heard, read with the cc:.
Fr. Ripperger is always clear and elucidating, however here he just goes right out and names names such as Biden, homosexuality, etc. He has usually been much more reserved and would play things close to the chest by making oblique references to concrete contemporary examples that people listening could rather easily fill in the blank to know exactly what he was referring to. I have noticed that in the last few months-really since his series on communism and demons-he’s seemed to have stopped caring about being subtle and is just calling spades by name now.

@@josephzammit8483 I was just discussing St. John Bosco a couple of hours ago with my protestant Mom. I had recently read one of his dreams about some of his boys flying down the wide road into Hell. He saw which boys specifically, and told the dream to all his boys (leaving out the names of those he saw). Afterward, each boy in the dream confirmed the truth of what he'd dreamed about them, that they were in mortal sin (or close to it).

A very timely talk which is addressing what’s happening right now. Father also mentioned that the lack of precision in language and words contributes to this problem where those who are liberal in their practice can use buzzwords to attack those who want to hold on to the catholic faith without compromise.

"Liberal" is an entrenched euphemism that nonetheless still baffles the public and those who adopt such leftist terms. "Unorthodox" is at least more accurate in the negative sense of the term it describes. "Theologically deviant" or simply "immoral" or "heretics" more precisely does the job.

I experienced the rigidity thing when I went through a physiological evaluation to join a religious order. I was asked a question about people living together outside of marriage. They wanted to make sure I was not rigid. I only stayed in that order for two months.

That are not afraid of doing what Jesus called them for. The Church is going through the purificacion as it says in the Catechism. And Pope Francis motu proprio is just going to cause what our Mother Mary warned us, priest against priest, bishops against bishops and Rome will loose the faith. Akita, Fatima, Garabandal, Lassette. We can’t give what we don’t have, we need perfect charity… and stop blaming everyone else and everything else for our situation (the Church). Before we start loving, we must stop hating and stop thinking that we are better than others, if we know better, it must show in the way we live, we talk and even dress… otherwise we are just forgetting what we look like as soon as we look away from the mirror.
