Those frozen ramen soups would do very well in the US. Especially for young students coming home after school and wanting a snack.. they usually make a Cup Noodles anyhow lol. Or college kids. Heck anybody would love them. I know I would buy them.
Costco has these! You don't put them in a pan but it's a bowl with toppings (veggies and chicken) that you add water to then microwave. They're called Ajinomoto Tokyo Style Shoyu Ramen with Chicken.
The frozen ramen soup, the fried chicken rice and the omurice look great. I love frozen potstickers here in the States. They even come with 2 packets of a ginger sauce. Really tasty and super fast to cook in the microwave. It's almost 2:00AM here and I have the "munchies". Time for a late night snack. This is one of the dangers of watching this channel in the middle of the night. Don't even think of the word, "diet". 😱🤣
I literally just watched Satoshi's video about that Ramen just the other day. It looked the best out of everything. And I love your plants on the patio. The flowers are so beautiful.😊
I wasn't surprised the pizza didn't turn out that great, mainly because it was a microwave dish. Putting it into an oven for grilling might have helped make a crunchy crust instead of turning out chewy. Same with the fries. The fried rice looked really good, though.
Convenience is nice, and many of those foods looked tasty. The omurice, fried rice, and ramen were most appealing to me. I don't have a microwave, so I don't generally buy frozen convenience foods. Thank you for the lovely view of your balcony, Shinichi. The hibiscus is gorgeous! And the plumeria is so healthy. You have a little paradise there!
I made my parents get me microwave fries like that for a snack when they left me home alone for the weekend (it was the '90s and parenting was different) and they turned out terrible. Of course I had begged so much for them even tho they said they'd be bad so I never admitted how bad they were. They'd sometimes get it for me as a treat and I had to keep pretending to like them. Bleck. Glad to see microwave fries technology seems to have finally made them crunchy.
I let them thaw somewhat then use the desert dry heat of a toaster oven to crisp them. Works for pizza too, as well as breaded or battered chicken strips, shrimp and fish fillets.
A trick I use for, pizzas, pies, crumb coated food, microwave for about 1/2 the time on the package, then dry heat them in a frying pan with the lid set ajar a little bit. They cook nicely even brown up a little more.
I love that gray thing that keeps things from getting soggy! I'd love to try the fries, chahan, omurice, shumai and ramen! Ice cream looks good too. Glad you enjoyed your feast :)
I think the pizza looks good for a snack, reminds me of school pizza, soft on the bottom with a slightly sweet sauce. lol I think crinkle cut fries are the best. Fried rice is the best rice on the planet. lol
Trader Joe's makes a good Chicken Fried Rice. And we like Costco's Frozen Lasagna. It's big, makes 6 servings. Stauffers Mac and Cheese is my comfort food.
I didn‘t had a microwave for over 30 years, then my uncle gave me one, and now I try everything to put in there because it‘s just fun😂 Slice of bread, slice of cheese on top, hello raclette-sandwich in 30 seconds XD frozen microwave meals are not a thing here, it was so much fun to watch what variety they offer😁

It´s also the fastest way to make a coffee in the morning. Get a coffee mug, fill with water. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute. Dump in instant coffee ( Nescafe as a well-known brand for example ), add sugar, creamer or milk, stir, *done* :)
@@SharkoonBln uhh nice suggestion, to boil water fast. We do have a full-automatic coffeemachine (don't know how to say, it's one of them you put in whole beans, it grindes and make coffee XD) but to make hot water for tea like that is so smarte, never thought about. Microwave newbie haha XD thank you, now I don't have to boil water anymore for a cup of tea XD next step would be, checking out all the options, wonder if grill function works? I just can't imagine that :D if someone has a favourite for "microwave grill" I'd love to hear :D
A lot of frozen food here has instructions for cooking on the stove and also microwaving it. The fried rice and the omurice looked really good! The frozen fried rice here isn't very tasty. I microwaved some gyoza for breakfast this morning. They were delicious. The easiest way to cook them is to put them on a plate, cover them with a damp paper towel, and microwave on high for 3 minutes.
That grey metallized film in your pizza packaging is called a susceptor. It catches microwave energy and converts it to infrared to heat up stuff right above it intensely; ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susceptor ) Your pizza's maker had one for the crust, but put the burden of browning the top cheese on you by suggesting a visit to the broiler. There's probably a reason you don't get a pizza container with a susceptor on top to act as a broiler, too -- might not work for either browning the crust or broiling the cheese on top if the energy were divided between two panels. I'm giggling that you also reviewed Ore-Ida microwave French fries -- Ore-Ida is a US company. The name is from Oregon and Idaho, two US states famous for their potatoes, though only Idaho actually has "Famous Potatoes" for the tagline on its vehicle license plates. Another YT reviewer did this the other day and I loved her enjoyment of it. I can get this at my local Dollar General and though I don't think it's a better value than getting a kilogram pack of cut fries and baking or frying them myself, the Ore-Ida microwaveable fries are not bad at all. The fried rice looked incredibly good, and so did the Korean hot-dog oddity and omurice. Even the not-really-lasagne looked tasteful, but I am 100% on board with you -- lasagne needs to have at least 3 layers to be the real thing! All that other stuff looked good to me, but not enough to warrant more commentary... or maybe I'm just too darned tired!
beautiful hibiscus n cant wait to see your plumeria flowers. i really enjoyed your video i want to try the fried rice n ramen. ive been looking for a good frozen ramen here my fav ramen shop is about 45 min drive n its kinda expensive over $15
Well I'm impressed at how crunchy those chips were . Every item was spot on . Ramen soup 🍜 looked so delicious I would stock up on most of those items shown in this video. 😋 Perfect
Beautiful garden. Have you guys tried growing herbs and vegetables there? Basil, green onions, oregano, thyme do not need much space. Lettuces do not need a lot of space either.
It's interesting that microwave wattages are lower in Japan; in the US 1000W seems standard, based on heating instructions for frozen food. The fried rice, omurice, and shumai were most appealing, to me! The ramen puck was kind of hilarious, but is probably a healthier way to have quick ramen than something that has to be shelf-stable. One of my favorite frozen meals is Amy's Thai Green Curry; you microwave it with the wrapper on, so the rice comes out nicely moist/sticky, and the curry (vegetarian) is a little sweet, which I like.
I might be showing my age here, but I remember when "frozen meal" was synonymous with "inedible garbage". Times have sure changed! almost all the frozen meals I get are nice. Not as nice as these, mind. ;)
I could not longer afford frozen food because one small package was never enough. Buying two or three ran into some money and the sodium was out of this world. Too much packaging waste to boot. I remembered what I truly enjoyed eating in my younger years and now cook it myself if it isn't too labor intensive.
Hot Pockets in America have that Silver-ish lining on a sleeve. It helps brown the crust by reflecting the microwaves back up into the food with out causing sparks. I used to like the Pizza Hot-pockets in the past when they actually put a lot of real slices of pepperoni in them, now it’s only cheese and pepperoni bits. So sad. The microwave pizza looks pretty good considering it’s under $3 US. I once had pizza at Sbarros in Waikiki that was so horrible it was worse than a Hot Pocket.
Great selection of convenience meals you showed us and reasonably priced as well. My favourite was the Ramen. Look forward to more videos. Fantastic view from your balcony and beautiful flowers . 🙏👍😀

How’s your tummy feeling after that microwave feeding frenzy? With the exception of the pizza and lasagna, it all looked good. The view from your balcony is so nice! Thanks for a fun video.
The pizza was very "bready" and the sauce was bright red...it looked too sweet. The fries...Ore-Ida does very well with its products. The rice did look good and the "bag/bowl" is ingenious. Sorry...for me, hotdogs and microwaves don't mix. Omurice did look interesting...the ketchup reminds me of how I sometimes put ketchup on scrambled eggs. My mom makes THE best lasagna and a restaurant near me comes in second....anything else is usually not satisfacting. Ramen looks really amazing...creative idea! I've had take out version of the shrimp and it is very good. The ice cream is odd looking but nonetheless looks good. Thanks so much for another wonderful video. Be Safe-Be well

Thank you, Shinichi for the video. I would love to fine those frozen ramem soups. Your ketchup appears darker and thicker American type ketchup. My child brought a tube of Japanese mayonnaise from Austria. It's delicious and we use it sparely so it can last❤. Love the view from your balcony 😍
