Baby Blues Nightmare is a survival horror stealth game where you play as a toddler and have to do what it takes in order to survive your horror-ish nightmares of what's real and not. Fix, maintain and customize your Tricycle to roam around your little world with. Run, hide and survive but remember; try not to cry when you are scared.. or the monsters will hear you and get you.
Explore your little world with your very own Tricycle which you can use as a vehicle, where you can store your favorite toys, customize your wheels, paint and find collectables to place on your Tricycle. This will be your means of transport.
Embark on a spine-chilling journey into the unsettling realms of a child's nightmares as a brave toddler where you must navigate through the eerie corridors and dimly lit playrooms to recover your five beloved toys, all while trying to unravel the mysteries that shroud the facility. Immerse yourself in the innocence of childhood, where every shadow hides a potential nightmare. The world seen through the eyes of a toddler adds a unique layer of vulnerability, intensifying the fear factor.
Utilize the unique abilities of a toddler - crawl through hidden passages, hide in tiny spaces, and use your imagination to outsmart the lurking horrors. Your small size becomes both an advantage and a disadvantage in this heart-pounding adventure.

Upgradable Abilities: Collect toys or items that enhance your Tricycle's appearance, paint and fix up to roam around your little world with.
Story-driven Adventure: Unravel the mystery of the nightmare by discovering clues and progressing through a compelling narrative that unfolds as you navigate the dangerous play areas and more.
Interactive Environment: Interact with toys and elements in the environment - toss objects to distract enemies, hide behind furniture, or trigger traps to clear your path.
Find candy, food and more to keep you happy and away from crying - which can reveal your position and enemies will known your location.
Survival elements with inventory system, hiding system, objectives and toys to help you find your beloved dolls.
Find drawing books and pens which you are able to draw on walls and get creative, both to mark locations or for creativity.
Fix, maintain, paint and customize your Tricycle to go around it in the world.
Enemy That Listens: The enemies can hear your footsteps, your breathing and whenever you step on squeaky toys.
Saving Levels System: Save your progress by having a little nap in save zones.
Gut Wrecking Moments: Walking on squeaky toys can make noises that the enemy may hear, same as moving crates or knocking over objects. All these things can give away your position. Try to evade them or use them as your advantages.

I'm getting the impression that the child's father killed his mother and the monster is how he's perceived his violent father to be, which I get isn't a super unique take on 'toddler horror' kinda stuff but I do think there's enough uniqueness in the gameplay to make an interesting game :D

This is probably another case of "bad dad horror" considering the mother's screams and the bludgeoning heard when Aiden came down the stairs...tired trope but yknow what, this game looks great, I want to see more of it
I have to agree, or... we have a really, really bad mom. I mean, who reads that kind of story to their toddler, especially at bedtime? In any case, I sincerely hope the dev keeps going with the story because I definitely want to see how this all pans out. IMO, the gameplay and graphics are very cool.

My only issue with the game is that it needed text with the opening narration.
Game looks good, but as somebody with audio processing issues, that intro reaaaally needs subtitles. Most of it just sounded like mumbling to me. I only knew it was supposed to be scary because of CJU's reaction!
I used the captions built into TH-cam and they worked for the intro! :3
I am nearly 100% sure that from all toddler style games you have played - this one is the most traumatising for the protagonist future...
I relate to escape-artist Aiden. My poor mom had to keep me on a literal leash as a toddler lest I scamper off to parts unknown at mach one or faster. 🤣 I hope Aiden _is_ just having a nightmare. Yup, I want to see how his nocturnal adventure plays out.

I've been wondering about the connection of this dev and Krillbite, the studio that made Among the Sleep, for a while now. The name is similar (Krillbite, Steelkrill) and even the Steelkrill logo is essentially the Krillbite logo's left half. And now this game. Maybe the dev used to work at Krillbite? I wonder if the game idea, logo, and name idea used to be theirs then. Or if they're just a bit too "inspired" by Krillbite. There's definitely a backstory here.
Every day of my life is a toddler survival horror game.
As someone who was terrified to play pretend in front of any toys with faces after watching “Toy Story” as a child in fear of them judging me…..these types of games are both beloved yet traumatic for me. I just love to be scared by them.

It was dang good. Incredibly spooky start,, with those creepy dolls staring at you and getting closer.
I feel like the mannequins are most likely the protagonist's eyes seeing something different and his mind trying to protect him from the horror...
By title alone this sounds incredibly sinister
feel like watching chris play " among the sleep " again that was 10 years ago got heavy vibe from that game really enjoy that one ( highly recommend if u guys haven't watch or play it its a good game ) , i dont know why suddenly feel like wanted to cry u came from a long way chris

Rugrats and Mascot Horror just had a baby and they called it Baby Blues Nightmares
"how are you not crying?" That's a fair question for a toddler but sometimes is in reverse. I had to babysit the neighbour's daugther once and she started crying because I didn't let her to take the bus. The bus was on the TV and I freaked out xD
I wouldn't be able to play this game just from how much the scenario breaks my heart. It's not scary so much as it's downright depressing.

Like other comments said, this IS probably a 'dad killed mom' situation like plenty of horror games out there... but I wonder if it's reversed. The monster I notice is spurting blood out of its arm and stumbling. What if mom tried to kill dad or fatally injured him in self-defense? The boy could have trauma both from the incident and seeing his mother, who he seems closer with, killing someone else.

I dont watch games that are more than a hr and a half long. But i enjoy a quick treck through the indie games. It helps get new game developer's some exposure and some pointers from him. Good fun,keep it going!!

This gives some strong Law and Order or Criminal Minds kind of view. Where you see the story playout from the child POV of the affair before getting rescued.
I love games like this one, i definitely wanna see more!
This Steelkrill Studios guy does mostly clearly derivitive games (Rotten Flesh ~ Lost in Vivo, The Voidness ~ Lidar.exe, , The Stairway 7 ~ The Exit 8, etc.) but does seem to do them pretty well. Would prefer to see some wholly original ideas from this dev, though; this one is clearly inspired by Among the Sleep but is slyly also an mascot horror thing. Now that I think on it, Among the Sleep was done by Krillbite. I wonder if there's any connection? Though Krillbite is a Norwegian dev team and Steelkrill is, I think, a solo dude from the UK. / shrug / I'd make a snarky remark about even having a derivitive name, but I'm sure this bit is all coincidence.

The intro of the game is a total disaster. The reverb om the mothers voice, totally unnecessary. The thunder volume crashing through her voice, even worse. The voice acting it's.. Couldn't understand a thing she was saying.. Felt like a bad asmr session. I hope the devs see this cus it annoyed the f outta me..

Dude pls stop just playing demos it’s like 19 minutes that’s it actually less cuz you have the cuts at the end come on man you are such a funny guy and awesome person to watch and helps my anxiety but 19 minutes isn’t doing you justice like play some longer games
He's supporting the indie horror scene by spreading awareness of upcoming games. Personally, I'll put upwith shorter videos sometimes for that reason alone!
He plays other games. It's just mostly indie games. That's not a bad thing though. Even though you're anxious you shouldn't put that kind of pressure on someone who doesn't even know you. It's not fair to CJU to do that.
Demos is all there is most of the time.
dont put your anxiety onto others. he helps me go to sleep but i will never force a creator to change their schedule or what they want to play to appease myself. after i watch the newest episode i go to the single horror game playlist he has and just shuffle through that. theres a lot of material, short and long.
