since more than decade i started chanting OM as long as I can in early morning around 4.30am and one day for few seconds I was out of the world I felt a deep vibration started from my top of the head and it stopped near my fore head ..It was amazing experience that experience is most powerful than any drugs whole my body felt relaxed ..Now i resigned my job and doing service at a temple and chanting OM twice some days thrice a day...Whenver I chant OM i feel very happy ..

Having said that, I am into believing that this Universe is not real, but a hologram projected into it's own mind, like a dream. So what if, this earth life is a dream created / projected by our higher mind so that it can explore the earthly realities. That's why he was told you cannot stay here, but need to go back ( so that the dream can be completed / just like if we woke up from a dream, we need to go back to sleep so that we can continue the dream to it's completion. In that case, we are actually dead-walking / sleep walking on earth, while thinking we are " Alive ", while our higher self is the real living one, but existing onn higher planes
It is not as if Eastern mystics stumbled upon the word OM by accident. They too heard the same sound in deep meditataion that Eben Alexander heard (during his journey beyond the physical realm) and they too recognized that some sounds are sacred and uplifting because they represent higher vibrations of energy. They tried to reproduce these sounds in the form of holy "mantras" which when chanted in the correct way is uplifting. I hear Eben Alexander is now researching into what he calls "sacred acoustics". Good luck to him. He is the modern sage of the 21st century. God probably chose Eben for this very reason!

I was once in the darkness but chose to not be afraid. I heard and felt a sound/vibration in the darkness and was filled with overwhelming joy and excitement. It was so wonderful that it woke me up. In my native language, "Om" means "man", "human". When I was first reading the book translated in my language I thought he called it Om on purpose to express how it's literally the blueprint perfect human that we all descend from. Guess I was wrong, lol

I always have problem with the people who have NDE experience, even though I believe that souls are pure conciousness. The problem is they don't know that our brains also creates conciousness. So when we die we are not taking a part of ourselves, or a part of our personalities which is brain. We create experiences here with our brains and souls together working in a team. But when brain dies, a part of us dies here ,all we carry is soul to the other side. I mean to say is, we still cease to exist leaving brain behind even though souls survive. And when you are alive, you are making analytical and logical decisions with your brain which you leave behind after you die. In a nutshell we are 2 beings in one body, a soul and physicality. These two are different things which have been just put together. So if our one being dies, a second being is alive. A part of us still dies.

I really liked Eben Alexander's first book because I have a science background but have also had psychic experiences and didn't know what to make of them. His scientific expertise has helped people not to dismiss the supernatural as pure superstition. But..... like some other NDE experiencers, he's trying to invent a new religion to explain his experiences. The pure love of the afterlife seems to permanently unbalance some people's minds. We all want love, even the Druids practicing gruesome human sacrifice did it for love of God and their tribes. I believe in all that Eben is saying and Anita's message too and the many others who have shared their NDEs. But the question keeps coming back to my mind and it is related to the descriptions of the ever loving beautiful being of light, pure who loves us like no one else does and the love is immeasurable etc - why did you create Hitler, Ted Bundy, Jack the ripper and the many other monsters born as humans? Why are pedophiles and rapists created? Why are cheaters, liars and corrupt people born who cause harm to so many people? How can we live without fear when there are so many dangers around us and forces out to harm us at every nook and corner? God, please can you give me the answer.
A good way to look will perhaps be a view of the animal world where so much cruelty is part of daily life. How ever we have come through all that and are given a brief respite to look further. It is best to take the opportunity and discover the wonder that is accessible to us only if we allow ourselves. It's a shame that Dr. Alexander was given this gift from God and he has allowed Satan to turn it into an occult experience. Yoga was created by Hindus that worship literally thousands of false gods otherwise known as demons. It is a very evil practice wrapped in a pretty package that takes you away from Jesus Christ. New-Age techniques almost always involve some form of meditation that is to bring you into a state of peace, enlightenment, open the door of physic knowledge, and can bring extraordinary power. But this power is an illusion of self-grandeur, it is occult, and very dangerous because the spirit you invite into your mind, is a demon or fallen angel. You are NOT uniting with a higher-spirit, an ascended master or a spirit-guide, you are uniting with a counterfeit spirit who is delighted to deceive you into thinking it a positive force but in truth is demonic. In yoga the self is God (Satan), in Christianity one denies self.. you have to choose only one. Choose Jesus Christ!
The question however is, how does one choose Jesus Christ? Through believing in something about Jesus or through 'transformation' by Jesus's teaching, accepting Jesus' message of selfless compassion and living by it? It appears to me that upon reading something titled "Proof of Heaven" that it necessarily indicates a subjective element considering heaven cannot, by definition, exist in a manner that's in accordance with usual space/time rules of places. For example, Houston, TX is a place, and it has definable measurements and proof of this is existent because those measurements and the methods underlying those measurements is consistent with how we define the word/concept of proof. Heaven, on the other hand, cannot by definition exist in the usual time/space and therefore the word proof has to necessarily be seen in a different context than it usually is.

Theodore A Hoppe Naturally I wonder what kind of proof you could possibly expect? It appears to me that upon reading something titled "Proof of Heaven" that it necessarily indicates a subjective element considering heaven cannot, by definition, exist in a manner that's in accordance with usual space/time rules of places. For example, Houston, TX is a place, and it has definable measurements and proof of this is existent because those measurements and the methods underlying those measurements is consistent with how we define the word/concept of proof. Heaven, on the other hand, cannot by definition exist in the usual time/space and therefore the word proof has to necessarily be seen in a different context than it usually is.
