Let's be real though, most Digimon are.. pretty comparable to kaijus. It honestly just feels like an unfair matchup given the inherent "this creature could probably level entire cities" nature of a fair few digimon. I am both a hardcore pokemon AND hardcore digimon fan. I have played the games and watched the animes enough to know that greymon would in fact win against charizard in any case, except for charizard's mega, in which case greymon could digivolve and decimate it. Even ignoring type advantages since greymon wouldn't have them. Based on charizard's aspects the digimon typing system wouldn't allow greymon to resist anything charizard throws at it (in terms of typing, not durability). And in pokemon's typing system, greymon would resist over half of charizard's strongest attacks (in terms of typing again). And don't even get me started on EVERY OTHER BRANCH OF GREYMON which are ALL stronger than regular greymon.

Ok, so I get that like, Pokemon fans want to try to defend Charizard and the entire Pokemon universe, but see, if we're talking pure power, Digimon>Pokemon I still think Pokemon is a much better franchise than Digimon, but you simply cannot deny that Digimons are insanely powerful. You have to take a look at it or do a big research to understand how qualitative it can be.

For me, digimon shaped most of my childhood, just like pokemon did. However, WarGreyMon is easily stronger, faster, and more durable than Charizard X and Y. WarGreyMon can also stay in Mega form for the ENTIRE battle, much like Mega Charizard X/Y can. Charizard Y's ability (drought) boosts fire type moves, and one hit of Terra Force can easily decimate X or Y charizard. I love you Digimon.

As someone who loved Pokemon and Digimon equally as a kid, I never did like trying to figure out who would beat who in battle because of how different their universes are, but I always did figure from what I know/remember from both series that Greymon is at a huge advantage, especially as Wargreymon.

I too know that Greymon will win this battle (Or highly believe anyway, until proven wrong), though watching this just helped reconfirm what I already know and even reminded me of some things I forgot. Anyway, like Vegeta vs Shadow, Charizard's only chance is to outlast Greymon's digivolved forms, which considering everything WarGreymon (And even MetalGreymon) have in store, Charizard wont be able to last that long.

I agree with most of what you said, but there was an episode that Tai jumped on and beat up a Bakemon a Champion level Digimon. Sure Agumon came in and gave an assist, but fact was the two of them were able to beat up a champion level digimon. Kinda of says that Tai is not weakling and knows his way around a fight.

Digimon are stronger because they are stronger. Weapons aren't the sole reason. Digimon like Plesiomon and SaberLeomon or BancouLeomon or Gankuumon or Lilithmon or VenomMyotismon, all mega leveled digimon with no weapons, could still take on most, if not all, pokemon with ease.

If an Agumon becomes GeoGreymon, it can Digivolve to RizeGreymon and ShineGreymon, as well as ShineGreymon Burst Mode (if Marcus is around his buddy). Then, if you want a different Mega from WarGreymon, you have BlitzGreymon, which has big guns, and also, WarGreymon can actually digivolve further, to VictoryGreymon, which is basically WarGreymon, ON STEROIDS!!!!!!!!
Yeah regular Greymon would already take it, if you evolve Greymon further it becomes overkill. So it's just a waste of energy to use MetalGreymon or (especially) WarGreymon against someone like Charizard, because the previous form can already take it. Dark masters took over the Digital world, Lucemon pretty much broke the digital world, and in Xros Wars there was a digimon that ate the earth. Ditto being a Pokemon requires a trainer to bring out it's full potential even if it was able to copy a Digimon and their abilities the Pokemon trainer would have no clue about what moves it would posses or its opponents weakness. Add on top of that Ditto don't take on the actual stats of whatever it's trying to clone and instead keeps its pitifully low stats and fragile HP .
A Ditto's main trait is copying a pokemon to a certain extent. That doesn't make it suddenly able to beat any pokemon. It certainly wouldn't change against a Digimon.

I am both a hardcore pokemon AND hardcore digimon fan. I have played the games and watched the animes enough to know that greymon would in fact win against charizard in any case, except for charizard's mega, in which case greymon could digivolve and decimate it. Even ignoring type advantages since greymon wouldn't have them. Based on charizard's aspects the digimon typing system wouldn't allow greymon to resist anything charizard throws at it (in terms of typing, not durability). And in pokemon's typing system, greymon would resist over half of charizard's strongest attacks (in terms of typing again). And don't even get me started on EVERY OTHER BRANCH OF GREYMON which are ALL stronger than regular greymon.

There are currently over 1300 Digimon, a good amount of games and merchandise articles and more. It's not dead. Numbers don't tell you if something is good or worse. You have to take a look at it or do a big research to understand how qualitative it can be.

For me, digimon shaped most of my childhood, just like pokemon did. However, WarGreyMon is easily stronger, faster, and more durable than Charizard X and Y. WarGreyMon can also stay in Mega form for the ENTIRE battle, much like Mega Charizard X/Y can. Charizard Y's ability (drought) boosts fire type moves, and one hit of Terra Force can easily decimate X or Y charizard. I love you Digimon.

I believe you are spot on with your analysis, and from this alone I'm even willing to subscribe. I too know that Greymon will win this battle (Or highly believe anyway, until proven wrong), though watching this just helped reconfirm what I already know and even reminded me of some things I forgot. Anyway, like Vegeta vs Shadow, Charizard's only chance is to outlast Greymon's digivolved forms, which considering everything WarGreymon (And even MetalGreymon) have in store, Charizard wont be able to last that long.

I agree with most of what you said, but there was an episode that Tai jumped on and beat up a Bakemon a Champion level Digimon. Sure Agumon came in and gave an assist, but fact was the two of them were able to beat up a champion level digimon. Kinda of says that Tai is not weakling and knows his way around a fight.
But it's not about physical battling, it's about battle commanding skills and that's what it is in the Pokemon universe

Digimon like Plesiomon and SaberLeomon or BancouLeomon or Gankuumon or Lilithmon or VenomMyotismon, all mega leveled digimon with no weapons, could still take on most, if not all, pokemon with ease.

Then, if you want a different Mega from WarGreymon, you have BlitzGreymon, which has big guns, and also, WarGreymon can actually digivolve further, to VictoryGreymon, which is basically WarGreymon, ON STEROIDS!!!!!!!!
Yeah regular Greymon would already take it, if you evolve Greymon further it becomes overkill. So it's just a waste of energy to use MetalGreymon or (especially) WarGreymon against someone like Charizard, because the previous form can already take it.

Pokemon level is based on how many evolutions it has. Mega is ultimate always though. Second evolutions are champions. Firsts are rookies. And basic forms are in training so mega digimon are too OP for pokemon

Ditto being a Pokemon requires a trainer to bring out it's full potential even if it was able to copy a Digimon and their abilities the Pokemon trainer would have no clue about what moves it would posses or its opponents weakness. Add on top of that Ditto don't take on the actual stats of whatever it's trying to clone and instead keeps its pitifully low stats and fragile HP .
A Ditto's main trait is copying a pokemon to a certain extent.
That doesn't make it suddenly able to beat any pokemon. It certainly wouldn't change against a Digimon.
