i was running the phys power build with divine bow last wipe and it was insane. people didnt expect the damage output. but the longbow takes the damage to another level right now so ill prob be switching depending on the crafts we get. if the 2x headshot multiplier pans out though, gotta run longbow no matter what.
That is great! I am currently making a true damage survival bow build video but I just keep getting wiped. Maybe i’ll switch to the recurve and see how it feels…
Im glad that people are realizing that Windlass can be good. Right now more classes than ever in previous patches have access to a sheild. Warlock's with Heaters and Barbs with round sheidls in addition to what fighters and clerics bring to bear
I completely agree with you. With all of the shields and the fact that everyone can be sneaky, you have to play really well as ranger right now. I don’t see any rangers in HR lobbies at all.
I just found your channel yesterday looking for help with Ranger. I'm trying to get good with this game so I'm not always such a detriment to my friends. For someone trying to learn how to be better, what would you recommend? I really like the longbow and the spear, but I seem to find more rangers using the recurve or survival and a rapier?
It depends on your playstyle and your team composition. If you have a tank on your team (Plate Cleric, Plate Fighter, Barb), you should be playing maximum backline damage which means sacrificing things like move speed and attack speed. You would utilize a longbow or a windlass for range and a spear or rapier for melee. You want your gear to have damage stats (like additional physical damage and phys power). If you don't have a front line character or a tank on your team, you have to be more mobile and be able to kite enemies (meaning shoot them and then move before you get hit) and therefore you need to run recurve with movespeed gear. The recurve is typically more popular for Rangers but I prefer the longbow and the longbow beats the recurve at distance, which is how you should be playing Ranger.
@@thedarkharvester I like the longbow's arrow trajectory the most. What do you think about playing Goblin Caves for practice? I've started about a week ago and I'm level 26. I have Nimble Hands, Sharpshooter, Spear Proficiency, and Chase as my perks.
@@wilsonwy7151 Goblin caves is scary because it's solo which means you have to cover your weakness which is close combat. The way that you do that is by move speed. I love the longbow though. Just make sure you are listening for people so that you can hear them before they hear you. Sounds like you're doing great!
What do you think about taking caltrops honest opinion? i know you prefer offence abilities, but the 50% slow will buy you a few extra shots, i think at 5:20 might of bought you a few 4 seconds to kite
That’s interesting…I haven’t even thought about that but it would help in close combat. And specing into rogue means getting poison weapon, silence, armor pen. Sounds good to me! I’d love to see it.
great vid earned the subscription! keep it up my G
Thanks so much for your support! I’ll keep the Ranger content going 😎

Will there be more ranger videos?
I would love to make more videos but I really haven’t been having fun playing Dark and Darker!
@@thedarkharvester haven't at all, or during last updates? So you're not going to return in D&D?
