It's funny because the manga shows how people just judge by how a "Hero" looks, in a chapter some people said "he does look nothing like a Hero" with Deku with the almost destroyed suit, dark eyes and the amount of whips around him.
@@sivvinod3187 I like the fact that it says greatest hero and Not #1 hero because their is a clear distinction between the two that is perfectly being reflected IMO in the manga.
Shounen MC's are getting darker. I'm loving it. And it's not the typical edgy darkness like kaneki. This is due to their circumstances pushing them towards this darker setting. MC's like Yuuji, Denji, and now Deku will have to change their perspectives from now on.
@@oikiyaa3762 get stronger for what tho. His goals weren't really clear. If it was to protect everyone at anteiku couldn't he have just told them instead of being mysterious about it.
@@nahomthegeek4014 bro, i don't want to talk much because i have no clue to when that moment happens. I've only recently started reading Tokyo Ghoul and i've been loving kaneki's character
Something that I'm seeing a lot of people missing is the fact that NOBODY but Deku can handle the current situation, AFO, and Shigaraki. The Pro Heroes even came to this realization this chapter. Which is why they don't want to further burden him. All Might understands this too, but couldn't find the words to say it. The issue here is that everyone else needs to level up to the situation to actually reach Deku. This arc is exposing the fact that Stain was right about All Might and Deku being the only true heroes. The moment the civilians turned on the Heroes, everyone bounced. The current character arc with Deku is showcasing the true burden of the hero that even Superman admitted to... you can't save everyone and you gotta live with knowing that.
At the end of the day, everyone's hopes and dreams rest on Deku's shoulder's now. Defeating All for One and saving Tomura is in his hands now. But that doesn't mean Deku has to do everything on his own. If the majority of Pro's had any backbone to them or grit, they could be lessening Deku's burden by simply handling small-time villains and thugs and allowing him to deal with the bigger threats. But the majority of Pro's are gone now, and while Endeavor, Best Jeanist, Hawks, Mount Lady, Kamui Woods, and Edge Shot are all assisting wherever they can, it's not enough. He's tackling assassins, hired guns, Tartarus convicts, small-time crooks, as well as saving civilians and even having to subdue out-of-control citizens. He's spread far too thin, and his physical and mental state is paying for it. And what's worse is the looming presence of All for One, blowing people just because Deku did what he does best and brought out the best in them or simply rigging a whole mansion to blow up not to kill Deku, just because he wants to mess with him by endangering everyone around him. Deku knows that anybody close to him is in danger, which is why he is trying to distance himself. But here's what's worse, I don't think since this whole going solo phase started, have any of the Pro's actually asked him how he's feeling. All Might has been trying to take care of him, but Deku's not really had a chance to express himself to anybody. This is the same kid who used to be mocked by some members of the fandom because he got overly emotional and cried a lot. He's bottling up his own pain so as not to burden others as a hero would, but at this point, I think Deku just being allowed to open up and vent to at least one person would make all the difference to his mental state. After all, when a hero is in pain, who will protect them? As cheesy as it sounds, what Deku needs right now is a shoulder to cry on.
This made me really impressed with Mt. Lady, who became a hero mainly for fame and wealth. Even with how beaten up she was in the Liberation War and with puplic perception turning against the heroes, she stayed in her line of work.
Lemillion was always a better "All Might" than Deku could ever be, and this turn in the story is exactly what I've wanted. Deku is not just another All Might. He's becoming something different and the complexity is appreciated. Feels good and not forced.
@@all514yer6 He's not saying that he's saying that Lemillion would have been a better all might because he can really uphold that hero demeanour similar to all might. He's not saying they should change the story hes talking inside the mha universe.
@@all514yer6 by better "all might" he don't mean better hero because in fact all might has huge flaw what was called being "symbol of peace" it worked good when he still was hero but after he retired all peace that he made was destroyed because if your peace is on shoulders of one person, don't matter how strong person is, if he is not god(which all might was not) then it won't last long.
@@db5094 idk about that. Lemillion seemed pretty broken when he let Eri get away. Imagine if he went through this. I can easily see him feeling similar that he did then, only worse
I think that latest quirk he revealed is relevant to this too. I think its called Fa Jin. A quirk that *absorbs kinetic energy* for later use. I'm not sure of the specifics of how it functions, and I don't think it can be used like shock absorption, but there might be something in the similarity.
@@isectoid9454 Not really, it's not like the first nomu's quirk at all. If anything, i'd say it's very similar to game characters that have charge attack that gets stronger the more time they charge.
Him hiding his emotions with his mask makes sense if you remember that the reason why the design of his hero costume came from All might. He is burdened to be the symbol of peace that all might was before and the only way is to be All might.
Umm nah, that's not the only way, all might was the symbol of peace assuring people he's there to save them, While Deku is more on eraser side, he's becoming the dark symbol of piece, thinking of him people are going to quit being villains because they will know they don't stand a chance against him
@@egonzo444 Happiness is always a good thing, but using too much of it,especially in times of crisis and cancelling out other emotions like anger, sadness,or fear is a bad thing. Happiness 24/7 with a permanent smile is not only tragic(Since it represents a mask with a permanent smile) but also creepy in a way. Kinda like in the game We Happy Few
The beauty of this arc is that it’s also consistent with what we know about All Might. He too pushed away those closest to him like Nightyeye. Hence when All Might tires to reach out and help Deku he understands. Overall it was this and this arc that pushed Midoriya into my top five favorite Shonen protagonists. He was already in my top fifteen/ ten but this character turn I very much love as it reminds me a lot of Allen Walker from D Gray Man in that moral gray( pun intended) and circumstances forces our protagonist to reconsider what he stands for and ultimately ends up changing.
@@falklands1932 he said deku become HIS/HER top five not that it is FACT and if we talk subjectively i would say that mha is at least top 5 shonen for me, because of it ideas and super hero thematic.
That final image of insane Deku, his eyes glowing, but his face shrouded in darkness, kind of reminds me of Stain when he delivered his ultimatum. Deku is practically transforming into stain using the same mad ravings.
The way I see it is that Deku has, unwittingly or otherwise, become Stain's ideal version of what a hero should be -- Constantly putting one's life on the line so long as there is evil capable of being stopped within your grip, not caring about fanfare or how the public views your image, and doing all one can to stop villains, protect the innocent, and preserve the truly good values at the core of one's society, no matter the toll placed on your body or soul. This image of Deku is also a display of all the flaws of Stain's Hero's Creed... that heroes may be the larger-than-life images of hope, but they are ultimately human. They can't be everywhere at once, they shouldn't be faulted for failures, potential or otherwise, that were leagues beyond their grip to begin with, and they deserve to rest and recuperate every once and a while, 'lest they self-destruct under the duress of the crushing scale of their monumental duties.
He’s having a hard time smiling. Deku has always wanted to be like All Might, a hero who smiles when he saves people. He’s putting on his literal mask to hide the fact that he can’t smile in spite of the world, can’t smile in front of his idol as he’s doing what he wants to: save people. He’s a legal hero, he is mastering these quirks, and he’s trying to save his world, but it’s not anything like he expected from entering into U.A and the end of the war. All of his friends, heroes, and himself got hurt, and the burden has become too much.
Izuku's losing his light (reminds me of Gon in the Chimera ant arc and Yuji after the Shibuya incident). Basically having the fate of the world in his shoulders is taking a huge toll on him in a pshycal and mental sense
He hasn’t. He was forced to rely on people before despite him not wanting to now he’s just strong enough that he doesn’t NEED to rely on anyone. He’s still the same
Technically speaking, he hasn't changed. This sort of self-destructive qualities have always been within him, and Bakugo pointed out several times. The only difference is that they are taken to the extreme.
@@MadZwe1 you are partly right and partly wrong. yea deku didn't as much change as much he grown .for example let's take first and second muscular fight. in first time he is fighting "bad guy" and don't even think what can be muscular's motivation or could there be other way to stop him when in second we can see that he finally understand that world is not black and white and really try to help even muscular, man who tried to kill child and wanted to kill deku himself. deku becoming more and more mature, but sadly he can't show that part of his development as hero because even if he manages to help villain and became light to them like he did for for lady nagant, afo will just blow up them so now deku physically can't help villiains
@@gioarevadze2703 nah you are saying wrong because you mistook what I said. I guess I said very vaguely. By saying Deku hasn't changed, what I meant was his self-sacrificing and self-destructive qualities. I was just tackling on people who think he has changed a lot because he is going rogue when this was hinted since the early days. What you said was 100% right. Deku has developed quite well.
Honestly I was waiting for this. Even before everything went to hell I knew that deku would one day reach the point where he feels completely stressed out with too many fires to put out. All for one just accelerated the time frame. The manga art on demon deku though is simply sublime. His frayed clothing, broken arm bracers and black whip make him look absolutely sinister. But yeah at this point while I love deku’s development I really hope the man gets a ducking break because he needs it.
It looks like he's so pissed off that black whip is leaking out of him. Like kind of how venom looks when he hears a really high pitch noise, it's coming off, but instead for Deku it looks like his anger is leaking, and because black whip responds to rage.. I can't imagine how pissed he is.
@@Doktor_dooom I bet Deku will beat his ass to the point of near death, AFO is a literal demon. He hurt people around him and crushed everything, just because he wants power. Any person can see that AFO is crazy. But I think Deku will be saved before he has any plans to kill AFO.
@@mouses_HK i don't think black whip is leaking it's probably that he's using him to support himself because at this point he could pass out at any moment because of his tiredness and lack of sleep in fact black whip looks perfectly in control or otherwise it wouldn't look so "calm" and and deku wouldn't leave it out just like nothing
Honestly I was expecting something like this to happen but I never wanted it to because of how much I care for deku. If seasoned heroes couldn't bear the small amount of burden that was put on them how could you expect a 16 year old to carry an even heavier one.
He was raised with the virtues that friendship is everything.. as long as he has them he can win and overcome anything. He's fought an opponent that is a legit hax. He KNOWS nothing his friends do can compare to that burden. He doesn't want them to get hurt and understands the weight of OFA. That's why all might is staying by his side... Deku isnt going evil.. he's being an absolute human for once. Hang on to my childish dreams and be weak..not become something that can stand between them getting hurt.. he's protecting them and I refuse to think his mindset or resolve as weakened any! If anything it's at a all time high.when and IF all might dies... Deku will be unstoppable. All of ALL MIGHTS attributes will be powered into deku. He fought AFO and won in a suedo skinny form waaay past his prime. Deku is gonna be a abeast
I agree on the first part bu the issue here is tht everything he’s doing is exactly how all for one predicted. He wants to isolate deku so he’ll be easier to break and I definitely think all mights death will be the beginning of the end, if it happens. Remember everyone reacts differently to the death of a loved one and I definitely think it may break deku considering like you said he’s doing this for them.
Deku shows that even good hearted protagonists can go too far into a negative spiral, and I think it’s a good lesson for life. I love how darker these mc’s are getting.
I think midoriya is coming to terms with his own heroic image. He initially tried to model himself on all might and thought all might as the pinnacle of what a hero could be. Subtle nods like the shootstyle show us deku is fundamentally different in both attributes and character. Deku being more analytical and not raw strength or even being a smiling hero. But with the recent arcs. Him being possibly the last OFA user. People losing faith with the hero society and the revelation of hero societys hit squad. Hes become a hero who does what is necessary. The smiles. The hope. He cant bring that. All he can do is save as many lives as possible and stop AFO.
I think he's actually gonna become some sort of dark symbol of peace, a symbol of doom for villains. A kid with multiple quirks spending all his time looking for villains, wearing destroyed clothes covered in mud and blood. I think he's gonna be the opposite of All might, All might gave people the feeling he's there to save them, Deku will probably give villains the feeling they don't stand a chance against him so they will quit being villains
It bothered me for so long that deku never actually wore his effin mask when he was in his costume, but now it all makes sense. Even when he did wear it it was so goofy and loose, such a genius way of showing both how he literally and metaphorically had to grow into the power/costume/responsibility and also how even when trying to conform to the hero program his personality and deku-ness couldnt help but peak through. And now... he's receding further and further behind his mask until his eyes completely disappeared into the darkness. The visual storytelling in this show is just... on another level.
I love how Deku's vigilante costume is a reflection of himself in the moment; not that he's becoming an evil person, or even a darker person in nature, but how his body and mental state are being worn completely ragged by his tireless need to do heroics, no matter the cost it places on him or the perils that could come with getting too little food and rest. His visage becomes even more poignant when you realize that he's become Stain's ideal hero, encompassing all the Hero Killer could have ever wanted from the convictions placed in his warped ideology, while at the same time showing its flaws laid bare.
You're correct in it being a curse. It dooms you to the fate of carrying the world on your shoulders and having your life turned upside down by a man who's simple goal is to destroy you until you have nothing left before simply stealing that power from you. OFA users are forced to adorn that ideology and burden that comes with the quirk and that does affect you mentally fearing that anyone near you could be in danger and that if you don't do what's right who else will.
Something I love about the development that this story portrays is that from the very beginning, the image of All Might as the Symbol of Peace is shown as a heroic and magnificent ideal to follow. But then as the series goes on, it shows more and more just how toxic that idea of a singular "greatest hero" saving everyone is because it's just not ideal. It erases the fact that heroes are humans with limits as well in favor of an image of utter, unrealistic perfection that no one can truly reach, not even All Might himself. And through Izuku in the recent chapters, we see just how damaging that ideal can be, as he literally tries to save everyone on his own. I also love how the later arrival of Class 1A sort of offers the alternative idea of working together to better society instead of dumping all of the responsibility on a single person's shoulders.
It's one of the most realistic and human way I've seen an MC's mental state deteriorate. The characters traits hasn't changed, and you can tell very easily.
The newest chapter also shows a bit more of that, won't spoil just in case you've not read it but he definitely seems more like he is suffering but doesn't want people to see him suffer or for him to cause suffering to them, because to him, he's saving everyone from himself and his quirk's burden
Decu is basically becoming the dark symbol of peace right now. All might gave people the feeling he's there to save them, while Deku is creating this image of a Kid with multiple quirks who can sense danger before it even happens, covered in mud and blood, destroyed clothes he's the doom of any villain
@@pratyushnaigaonkar3208 for me too man ngl it would be interessting if there are people who still call deku a crybaby after that one sick panel of him

As cheesy as it sounds, what Deku needs right now is a shoulder to cry on, a brief reprise from his stoic heroic persona where he can be a teenager again, where he is allowed to be vulnerable again even if it is brief. personally, I think that role will ultimately fall to Uraraka, after all, her arc revolves around saving heroes who are in pain. She was Deku's first close friend in years and I think if anyone can reach/comfort him, it would be her.
I relate to deku ALOT feeling like you have to do everything yourself because you dont trust others is something i went through. Now its not exactly like how deku has it but its very similar.
Yea I can relate to that as well, but most importantly,I can relate to this one trait that burdened me greatly for years and now Deku is suffering from it: Being Too Altruistic. Or in other words: Helping too much or trying to save *LITERALLY* everyone all the time, which causes alot more problems than fixes it.
I love how his development has led him down his path, he wants to be able to keep the smile on his face like his mentor but he truly feels the weight of the world on his shoulders. It's as if he doesn't feel like he deserves to show a smile on his face, that he needs to push forward till he breaks. He's getting more tactical and methodical, but in a way that would make him downright sinister if he was a villain.
Just because deku ain't time to fan boy over all might And Always working Does not are him a negative person. Ronin, since you are a completly fanboy of jjk I never thought you have that thoughts of Boku no Hero, never open a video of mha of you, surprised and sorry to think that. Well you spoke really well about Midoria, I only wanted to say that all the consequences after the war for society, people and heroes, world building are amazing, I m enjoying a lot AFO, the years of manipulation , and how Horikoshi is using him and all that predictions really mastermind and actually with sense if you think deeper to each thing that happen and how he is actually manipulating and directing Midoria to what he wants, which in this case is to darken his heart and put him in a deep depression and loneliness that will hardly come out. Not gonna lie this chapter put me depressive during the day, and I think Horikoshi is paying homage to Kentaro Miura, Midoria looks a lot like guts, dark and monstrous, and shigaraki, angelic and white-haired like Grifith. Great video!!!
@Jonathan Robinson Well I think he is a bit, and I see no problem of like a series much, and like I said I didnt open any video of him that wasnt jjk. Probably I exagerate or even dont know what actually means be a fanboy. Sorry for something
@Jonathan Robinson ok but you understand the message, be a fanboy or not, I was apologizing for think that and said that liked to listen his opinion talking about other series in this case Boku no Hero, dont be angry for that, and dont feel im your heart each word that I write, I used to exagerate to pass better the message. I think I was respectful and said good things about him. But btw thank you to explain me what exactly means a fanboy
I still think that Izuku it's going to die in the end of it all, I mean, He already said that's the story of how he became the greatest hero in the world, not the number one, also you don't need to be alive after the act to be the greatest hero...... Just a theory or... A gut feeling of mine.....
I have a theory though I don’t like it. I think all might will eventually die, maybe by himself since deku left or perhaps stain will try to protect him but can’t prevent his death. Deku will see him in the vestige and notice he has an actual form and not just mist. He will realize that he has died. That’s where deku and allmight will have a heart to heart conversation with him and eventually brings deku back to the light side… (and hopefully a flashback fight with prime all might and afo to help him prepare to what’s to come) lol that’s just wishful thinking I’ve been wanting a reason to see that fight
@@Ash_Wen-li All might has been set up to die since after his final fight, not only passing on the torch but being shown he isn't able to be saved all the time, i got a feeling all might's death is coming up soon enough all might can't exactly live in the world under constant protection especially when he is out chasing Deku in what is now basically the dark times all over again
Im spoiling so much for myself since I havent read the manga( if you can tell me where I can read the manga online for free without buying the manga books please let me know) but i can tell even by just the anime that he is trying so hard to become stronger so he can protect everyone that he doesnt realize how much damage that pure ideal can be to him. Logically and realistically he cant save everyone its not humanly possible and thats something that burdens every hero. They are flawed humans no matter how incredible the persona that they and their peers try to keep up it doesnt change the fact that they are flawed humans just like the people they want to save and no matter how perfect they try to be and no matter how many people they save there isnt always a happy ending. He has shown since episode 1 that Deku is a sweet hearted person who will break himself before letting any harm come to the people he wants to protect. That kind of selflessness can be admirable but in a darker note its also selfish because he can close himself off from people in a mindset to protect them to the point that he is denying and rejecting any opportunity for his friends and fellow heros to help him and that can be fatal. I think its called the heros flaw in greek mythology but idk. Deku remindes me of Batman except his innocence isnt ripped from him all at once like Bruce's was when his parents were killed in front of him. Deku's innocence is being taken from him slowly and painfully as he and his classmates continue to train to be heros. I think we saw this progress the most after seeing the aftershock of Eri's rescue when Nighteye died and Mirio lost his quirk. Both him, Kirishima, and Ururaka were visibly empacted by the mission in good and bad ways. They gained resolve and clarity to what kind of heros they wanted to become, but they also had their eyes opened to depressing reality of the guilt you feel when you cant save someone even if you did save another person. I really hope Deku will start letting his friends in and start listening to them Like Bakugou( fricken love his character development)So far I love the story and I im excited for the upcoming season!
You really can just type in "MHA chapter number" and there'll be multiple sites that pop up with most of the chapters. As long as you have an adblocker you won't get see any bad ads or anything.
Only I sense similarity with Anakin in the sense where they turn in a self destructive path for good reason like wanting to protect your loved ones and heroism
Izuku's mental state and actions line up directly with your typical bipolar disorder and manic bipolar depression. The trauma this kid has experienced has literally broken him. Pushing everyone away, not caring for other safety or his own. Unstable mood swings and paranoia. When people say that the fights with shigaraki or overhaul didn't scar him, that hero society didn't groom this kid to be like All might and break him in just the same way, forcing him to be scapegoat, that he didn't have trauma from his body being overloaded all the time-- i direct them to this. Welcome to the end.
Would be entertaining if the early assumption that Bakugo would turn is reversed, and Deku ends up going dark side while Bakugo becomes our protagonist. Would that absolutely ruffle some jimmies? Yes. Would it be brave to write and captivating to read? Totally.
For a while, seeing Midoriya like this only hurt. I couldn't stand it. Then I realized something. I had a tendency to hide when I was upset or hurting. It was hard. Seeing Midoriya doing the same thing made me notice how harmful this pattern was. I've since resolved to share my burdens with those who care about me. The current arc also reminds me of something that happened last year. I had been dealing with a bully online for about nine months. He pretended to be part of the Pokemon villain group Team Rocket. Originally, I had wanted to befriend him and help him become a better person. Eventually, he proved to be beyond anything I could do. My goal then became to "defeat" him by making him leave me alone. One day, I made the mistake of revealing my real name on the site where we interacted. He pounced and sent me taunting messages, calling me by that name and revealing that he had been following my activity on another site. I had never felt so scared. I disappeared off the internet for months, spending my time preparing to protect myself and others. I feared that he would somehow pinpoint my location and hurt the people I care about to toy with me. It was hard for me to smile. How could I when I had put my family and friends in danger? When my brother mentioned seeing someone with a Team Rocket logo on their face mask, I about lost it. I distinctly remember feeling my blood boil and my heart pound at the thought that that creep had found me and was going to hurt my brother. Ultimately, my worries proved pointless, as he never did show up. Slowly, I was about to return to my old self, though not completely. I still remain cautious, especially online. I understand that there are some people whom I can't help. I still don't fully trust those who associate with Team Rocket. But I can smile again. I can relax. Hopefully, Midoriya will be able to recover, too. Someday.
Phenomenal video bud. Enjoyed it a lot. MHA is getting real gritty and I hope it stays there to expose the readers to just how ugly and beautiful humanity is.
Im not sure how much people here watched shows like fate/ or read through things like light novels and visual novels. But i think deku should start going down the path where he would end up having to kill to save more people. It's just a simple question that i like to see in multiple anime and or manga. Would you save one person or would you save the whole as in. One person would die on one boat while 5 people would die on the other what would a character like deku do in that spot considering how he sees heros and everything like that.
I’ve already seen part of them. Their about to clash with Deku. Every minor from UA that had befriended Deku is actually gonna fight with him, even his closest friends (which one of them is his crush), Iida and Uraraka. And I’ve never seen Ochaco manifest passive-aggressiveness to Deku before, especially since she cared deeply of him (and hinders her romantic feelings from him too).
(coming from chapter 321) imagine how he would look all cleaned up and in normal clothes after being in a shredded hero costume for so long with his new scars
Thanks for mentioning Uraraka first for saving Izuku and Stain after helping or both. People forgetting her JT arc saving heroes storyline coincides perfectly here with Deku becoming lost and dark and taking everything on his own and hurting inside but not telling anyone about it for their sake either. This is the perfect time for Uraraka to come in and save Izuku emotionally, it’s just a matter of time and choosing on when Horikoshi chooses to do it. When it does happen if it does, there will be a lot of drama and emotion and she’ll probably confess to Izuku too in a deep way as well possibly during action, just like Hinata did during Naruto pain fight. Stain will come into play with Izukus going rogue storyline and might even talk add on to convince him a little bit, but the main person to talk and save him now and who he’ll listen to the most even if he pushes them away at first is Uraraka, she has a much bigger emotional connection to him obviously and has a whole character arc on wanting to save heroes and more. Which all fits perfectly with Dekus downward sadness spiral from the war, 306, to 317. Excellent My Hero videos as always, let’s see wait and see what happens next in the story and keep up the great work.
For a long time I have gotten less and less fond of Izukus character. I really thought he was just this dude who just wanted to save everyone. But this chapter is now showing us the downward spiral of that mentality. How him trying to save everyone leads to death. Can't wait to see the tragedy unfold onto him and that he finally realizes that being a hero is not what its cracked up to be and has change in his character. Hoping he becomes like Batman.
@Brylan Henderson yeah I re-read the old chapters and can see the connection. I keep forgetting that the author was inspired from naruto and it had similar themes. But I still want some tragedy to happen to izuku so he can finally develop into a great character.
@Brylan Henderson that sounds pretty good tbh but I hope it’s stain that actually saves instead uraraka or bakugo(which I would not mind). I’m just glad we’re seeing the thing that he kept preaching is physically and mentally destroying him. When he rises out of it it will be satisfying. But I can feel all mights death coming.
This is where Deku willl realize that no one can be an “All Might” not even All Might they may be superhuman but they still are human and they have limits
I love that Deku isn't handling his burdens in a healthy way, like most Shonen MC's would. He's getting beat down with stress and fatigue with every second that goes by, and it shows.
Agree with everything said here about Izuku's mindset. Along with everything say in this video, there also the whole thing of the way people in MHA thinks a hero is suppose to "successfully" stop a villain. - A hero is suppose to "always win (as stated by Katsuki Bakugo)". - A hero is suppose to "always save everyone (as stated by both AM & Izuku Midoriya - though Izuku taken it to mean "save everyone in the world"). - A hero must make the villain "lose the will to fight on (as stated by Fatgum). - A hero should reassure everyone (said by AM and Nana) - There should be "minimum damage" to the area. (Yeah, define "minimum damage.") - There should be "minor injuries" to the villains (again, define "minimum and "minor"), and no injuries to anyone else. (Y'all asking for a lot considering.) -And there must be NO DEATHS to anyone (incl. the villains) before, during and after the battle. This incl. deaths caused by it even months or years after. If we're to go by ALL of that, then all the heroes and vigilantes in MHA and MHAV (in all canon, semi-canon, and filler material) have done nothing but constantly lose against AFO *AND ANYONE* even indirectly or loosely associated with him. (At least with everything released for both series so far.) And Izuku, Katsuki and everyone in both Classes A & B were raised with this thinking. So izuku, frustrated, mentally and physically wore out, with the weight of the world on his shoulders, had back to back "losses," AFO many steps ahead of him and he's now his MAIN TARGET, it's understandable that he believes cutting ties with absolutely everyone would the best things. Besides, he may believe the mistake AM made was not pushing people away, but that he, Nana and the other users should have cut ALL TIES altogether. But he's (still) doing everything as AM did, thus repeating AM's mistakes only worse, and doing exactly what AFO wants him to do. And while some (on both sides of this) may think what I will say would be too much in this story, but I actually see the "huge" possibly of not only AM getting killed, but also Inko, Eraserhead, Endeavor, Best Jeanist, Hawks (somewhat), Gran Torino, etc. all in this or the following arcs. And if they ALL die, then you really going to see Deku go wild!! (AND REALLY GET TO SEE JUST HOW "DARK" HE CAN GET!!!) Edit: Sorry for the essay, but I felt I had to type this up.
Another note about the page where deku is on the building is that in chapter 1 page 2 he also talks about seeing a giant villain but he’s super astatic about it but it’s a parallel to him saying it now with how much things have changed. You also see death arms the guy who retired in the last war chap on page 2 directing citizens. The story as a whole is so crazy now.
it makes so much sense why deku is going down this spiral because up to this point, deku showing emotions is always being bargained at a price. sometimes it works in his favor (fighting gentle and gentle turns himself in for the greater good) and sometimes it doesn't (saving kota from muscular which ended in him getting his arms almost permanently damaged, too damaged). and i think when he finally finds someone really useful like Lady Negant who allowed him to show empathy, she is effectively being killed off. because of him. its nothing he should blame himself for, but it's deku. and when he tries to save someone, it causes them to be injured and her dying (or at least attempted to be killed off). its like the same harsh reminder to the truth that deku doesn't want to face: *"Heroes can't save everyone."*
Deku is literally acting like Steven from Steven Universe like come one the similarities of Steven Universe and deku slowly loosening there sanity is just woah
Deku's mom will be shocked like Frigga on Endgame. and will ask what happen to him, his burden, the carriage. Its too much and Inku will hate All Might much more.

Every time i see mha, I thought of Fate/Stay Night Archer.
This made me really impressed with Mt. Lady, who became a hero mainly for fame and wealth. Even with how beaten up she was in the Liberation War and with puplic perception turning against the heroes, she stayed in her line of work.
@@MegaLabano I was actually thinking about that. Crazy how one of the heroes in it for the fame has yet to give in when just about everyone else has.

That final image of insane Deku, his eyes glowing, but his face shrouded in darkness, kind of reminds me of Stain when he delivered his ultimatum. Deku is practically transforming into stain using the same mad ravings.
no
Stain did say he was worthy of passing on his legacy in some form, this has been foreshadowed as far back as then.

Honestly I was waiting for this. Even before everything went to hell I knew that deku would one day reach the point where he feels completely stressed out with too many fires to put out. But yeah at this point while I love deku’s development I really hope the man gets a ducking break because he needs it.
I hope that deku choose violence against all for one
It looks like he's so pissed off that black whip is leaking out of him. Like kind of how venom looks when he hears a really high pitch noise, it's coming off, but instead for Deku it looks like his anger is leaking, and because black whip responds to rage.. I can't imagine how pissed he is.
@@Doktor_dooom I bet Deku will beat his ass to the point of near death, AFO is a literal demon. He hurt people around him and crushed everything, just because he wants power. Any person can see that AFO is crazy. But I think Deku will be saved before he has any plans to kill AFO.

His visage becomes even more poignant when you realize that he's become Stain's ideal hero, encompassing all the Hero Killer could have ever wanted from the convictions placed in his warped ideology, while at the same time showing its flaws laid bare.

r/cursedquirk
@@raheemaslam7363 someone has to have made this
Yes it is a curse quirk...for a quirkless person it isn't
You're correct in it being a curse. It dooms you to the fate of carrying the world on your shoulders and having your life turned upside down by a man who's simple goal is to destroy you until you have nothing left before simply stealing that power from you. OFA users are forced to adorn that ideology and burden that comes with the quirk and that does affect you mentally fearing that anyone near you could be in danger and that if you don't do what's right who else will.
When this arc is animated, it's going to be brutal.
Deku is not different at all it's just his original frustrated personality is getting out due to his mental state
It's one of the most realistic and human way I've seen an MC's mental state deteriorate.
It's like he is so heroic to the point of going to self harm
It's realistic, considering we often self harm ourselves even when we pursue our goals
Decu is basically becoming the dark symbol of peace right now. Paranormal Liberation War cause Deku to be this way. How war changes people.
War can change a man.........and a woman
That and trying to help(Or Save) people too much. It causes more problems than fixes it.
Or in other words: Being Too Altruistic.
It's really interesting how Deku's characters has been developed and built up over time. Also Deku's character arcs almost always fit in really well with the arc of the overall story.
That point about the mask reminds me of when he first met Eri, when mirio put his mask on and forced him to be emotionless and not react to chisaki
That is a VERY good point, thank you for pointing that out
Broken Ronin always coming through with the analysis videos on all my favorite Shonen. Thank you my guy!
This would be epic, and very very VERY depressing for Deku.
Didn't Nighteye foresee All Might's death? I think this is almost guaranteed to happen. But I don't think Deku will find out through the quirk
I actually like this theory, however this would be VERY sad and I’ll probably be crying lmao
Only I sense similarity with Anakin in the sense where they turn in a self destructive path for good reason like wanting to protect your loved ones and heroism
don't know how you don't have more subscribers man your voice is soothing and videos are great keep up the good work
This is his new channel he was big on his old one but abandoned it a while ago to start this one and make new content
''It blows up in his face.''
I'm sorry...I laughed too hard at this...oh I'm going to hell
Would be entertaining if the early assumption that Bakugo would turn is reversed, and Deku ends up going dark side while Bakugo becomes our protagonist. Would that absolutely ruffle some jimmies? Yes. Would it be brave to write and captivating to read? Totally.
Oh you are right, like deku has been looking miserable with his mask off, like he clearly wants to be hero, but his rose colored lenses are off
“Nobody cared who i was until i put on the mask” - bane
I'm liking this new darker Deku
One person would die on one boat while 5 people would die on the other what would a character like deku do in that spot considering how he sees heros and everything like that.
deku's rage and costume reminds so much of berserk and the rage armor and i love it
eXcUsE mE???? 👁👄👁
I cant wait to see his interactions with his classmates
I’ve already seen part of them. Their about to clash with Deku. Every minor from UA that had befriended Deku is actually gonna fight with him, even his closest friends (which one of them is his crush), Iida and Uraraka. And I’ve never seen Ochaco manifest passive-aggressiveness to Deku before, especially since she cared deeply of him (and hinders her romantic feelings from him too).
@@strawbxrryshortcakeicecrea3236 and now gotta wait till the first for the next chapter sadly, excited all the same
I was literally waiting on this, love you Broken Ronin.
(coming from chapter 321) imagine how he would look all cleaned up and in normal clothes after being in a shredded hero costume for so long with his new scars
I honestly was expecting for this to happen at some point but I never would’ve thought that it would play out this way
excellent video dude, you hit all the points on the head when discussing what his character is now and what led up to it
Was waiting for this vid for a while! More MHA content would be cool!
These seeds were planted as early as the overhaul arc at the very least. Its just the natural growth of those seeds taking context into acount.
the best video so far I watched about Deku!
Damn this made me rethink mha I need to watch more of this channel
I think this is a natural progression of Deku he has always been too selfless the only difference now is he now has the power to back it up
Omg finally someone understand me 1:11 they say that he changed and he will became but he didn’t change what really changed is the world around him
For a long time I have gotten less and less fond of Izukus character.
Batdeku sounds amazing
Amazing video!
Quitters never win and winners never quit
I love that Deku isn't handling his burdens in a healthy way, like most Shonen MC's would. He's getting beat down with stress and fatigue with every second that goes by, and it shows.
You now it would be crazy if deku started the next generation of heroes anti heros or more that have darker and bleak undertone heroes of the night 🌉🌃
- A hero should reassure everyone (said by AM and Nana)
- There should be "minimum damage" to the area. (Yeah, define "minimum damage.")
- There should be "minor injuries" to the villains (again, define "minimum and "minor"), and no injuries to anyone else. (Y'all asking for a lot considering.)
-And there must be NO DEATHS to anyone (incl. the villains) before, during and after the battle. This incl. deaths caused by it even months or years after.
If we're to go by ALL of that, then all the heroes and vigilantes in MHA and MHAV (in all canon, semi-canon, and filler material) have done nothing but constantly lose against AFO *AND ANYONE* even indirectly or loosely associated with him. (At least with everything released for both series so far.)
And Izuku, Katsuki and everyone in both Classes A & B were raised with this thinking.
(AND REALLY GET TO SEE JUST HOW "DARK" HE CAN GET!!!)
Edit: Sorry for the essay, but I felt I had to type this up.
Definitely hit the nail on the head. Good job
Ik people might get mad at this but still it's funny. " That's what the mask is. That's what the point of the mask is"
Bruh
You can see me trying
Keep it up on this channel
I appreciate that you seem to have Horikoshi pegged, but you remain open-minded to other people's perspectives. Keep that humility.
I wonder what a conversation with Deku and Shirou Emiya would entail
"He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man" - Samuel Johnson.
Ah yes, the venom phase of the Japanese Spiderman.
I can not wait for this arc to get animated 😭😭😭
Another note about the page where deku is on the building is that in chapter 1 page 2 he also talks about seeing a giant villain but he’s super astatic about it but it’s a parallel to him saying it now with how much things have changed. You also see death arms the guy who retired in the last war chap on page 2 directing citizens. The story as a whole is so crazy now.
Keep it up on your work and this channel
U did this video so well
it makes so much sense why deku is going down this spiral because up to this point, deku showing emotions is always being bargained at a price. sometimes it works in his favor (fighting gentle and gentle turns himself in for the greater good) and sometimes it doesn't (saving kota from muscular which ended in him getting his arms almost permanently damaged, too damaged).
and i think when he finally finds someone really useful like Lady Negant who allowed him to show empathy, she is effectively being killed off. because of him. its nothing he should blame himself for, but it's deku. and when he tries to save someone, it causes them to be injured and her dying (or at least attempted to be killed off).
its like the same harsh reminder to the truth that deku doesn't want to face: *"Heroes can't save everyone."*
Deku is literally acting like Steven from Steven Universe like come one the similarities of Steven Universe and deku slowly loosening there sanity is just woah
Except Steven Universe kind of sucks.
Believe in yourself 🙏🤗
Great video man I'd love to see more MHA
if he becomes a villain that would be a GREAT TWIST!
Banger video i really enjoyed it and i think that mha is going to become a classic manga/anime once it finishes if it isnt already such in community.
Wow, this was a really good analysis.
Take control of your own destiny
That's a dope drawing of Izuku
Great video man
Deku's mom will be shocked like Frigga on Endgame. and will ask what happen to him, his burden, the carriage. Its too much and Inku will hate All Might much more.
Wait i thought all might told inko about one for all
@@beeez2127 does seeing your child like this will make you happy? At all?
Deku is seeing the darkness and is evolving into a dark knight
Knowing HoriKoshi being a Spider-Man fan, I believe this version of Deku is inspired by Spider-Man when he got the Symbiote with a little Batman after A Death in the Family.
Lets keep Izuku this way
What an Amazing Video!!
Ignore those who try to discourage you
Yo this man SPITTIN
