Great vid. Dr. Amy, Can u do one for our veterans who have cancer & traumatic brain injury or traumatic injury like lost limb or stab wounds? Should they take the same supplements & food too? Is there anything special they can do to push themselves along. Can u also include some tips on what they can eat/take to help them heal from their injuries too?

Magnesium citrate is a life saver in so many ways whether you have cancer or not. Everyone should be taking it along with vitamin D and K2. Your vitamin D level goal should be 50, not 30. Those are the big three for me. I get enough calcium in my diet. Too much calcium without the support of magnesium and potassium can cause heart arrhythmias.

Really try to get your calcium from eating plants like spinach, kale broccoli, etc. Not only do you get good calcium but you’re going to get potassium and many other vitamins minerals from them. Getting enough D3 is going to be hard in food so taking a supplement is critical. I would really be careful about getting on the bandwagon a protein powder and try to eat as much natural protein as possible. Whole eggs are your best source where you absorb most of the protein and get all the amino acids necessary. Enjoy real food if you can also consider things like magnesium glycinate, a form that doesn’t cause digestive problems is absorbed well, and turmeric. Anything that reduces inflammation is going to help you feel better. Seek God and reduce the stress in your life and find true joy.

If taking Vitamin D3 you should be taking Vitamin K2-mk7 at least 4 hours after from the research I've done. They work better if taken apart than together.

Best to take Vit D3 alongside enough Magnesium, since by fulfilling as many functions, Mg can easily be depleted. Also take Vit K2, to ensure that excess Calcium is directed away from the vascular system and muscles, for storage in bones. (Calcium toxicity is actually a possible problem that could occur with higher Vit D3 intake.)
