    it's good to know when I'm finally done building my first pc, and get funds to build my second that I don't need to sell it or gift it to someone, but just turn the setup into a dual pc setup. that will definitely save me on moving storage.

    to be clear, the capture card installed in the streaming PC and not the gaming PC?
    one HDMI OUT from the gaming video card, goes to the IN port of capture card,
    a second OUT from gaming video card to gaming monitor,
    are you using the OUT from capture card at all?
    does OBS just recognize the source since it's installed to the PCI-E slot with input from gaming PC?

    what's the benefit to having the goxlr usb go to the streaming pc and not the gaming pc? a lot of other videos say to put the goxlr to the gaming pc and not the streaming.. what is the difference other then discord stuff? is this how you can split audio when recording? because i have mine setup the same way as yours and its impossible for me to split my mic audio/game audio/music and so on because everything is ran from just one line... being the line in. i really wanna figure out how i can have all these separate for when i go edit on adobe

    • @RAVisuals
      @RAVisuals  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think you'd need a different mixer or software to split all of those channels if you want them separated like you're saying. The goxlr splits the channels so you can control them independently while streaming, but for recordings, you kind of have to be aware that they are all coming to your streaming PC via the line in. it works for my setup and what I do

    I noticed that there are a lot of cables in this setup. I plan on replicating something like this and want to know if most of the cables are included with the products or if I have to buy some. For example, does the 2 3.5mm aux cable come with the go xlr, or do I need to buy 2 3.5mm aux cable. Same thing for the hdmi cables and usb cables. Thanks.

    • @RAVisuals
      @RAVisuals  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Since you have a two pc setup, why don't you use the cpu as an encoder for the stream pc? is nvenc better? To put the game image on elgato you use the nvidia panel to clone or you project the screen using obs

  • @KruellNationGaming
    @KruellNationGaming 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I've run this same setup for years just with a full size GoXLR. The only problem with this so as is, IF you are playing with other people, you can't record their vocals separately from your game audio as well your vocals gets stored in the same audio stream as the game. I got around this with Voicemeter Potato and adding two. USB network cards to create a subnet that encodes the two vocal channels separately so you have 3 separate audio tracks for game, self vocal and party vocals. Recently I've found just moving the GoXLR to the capture PC and discord to the capture PC fixes this and eliminates the need for the subnet but then your microphone is no longer on the have PC... Which you can just fix by sending the vocal back to the mic Jack of the gaming PC via 3.5 cable but you still need Voicemeter to tie your mic track to an outgoing track...
    Nothing is easy 😂

    So question, i dont have a good camera for a webcam just a 2k usb one, also a usb headset, would i be able to not use a gxlr and do a dual pc setup or do i need that to tie the audio together

      To use the goXLR like I am you’ll need to plug your headset into the goXLR via the 3.5mm input. There is a couple of wireless headsets that “can” be used with it but they suffer from latency and other issues

    How does Goxlr work if i have a wireless headphone that i stick a usb in the desktop to get my audio? Im willing to switch to a dual pc but this point got me freezing

      Given the same setup as the guy in the video, then just plug to usb dongle from your wireless headset into the streaming pc, and since you have the 3.5 from the mixer feeding all the tracks back into the streaming pc, you can just have that feed split back into sound output.

    I run into an issue when I try to run full screen exclusive for games where it makes my capture card resolution dark. Is there a fix for this?

    • @RAVisuals
      @RAVisuals  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Huh. I have never seen that happen. Maybe it had something to do with your nvidia or AMD settings? Depending on what card you use?

    • @ITZkinggjoseph
      @ITZkinggjoseph 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RAVisuals I use an nvidia graphics card. I haven’t messed around with the Nvidia settings so maybe I’ll try that! Thanks for the advice!

    I am having a ton of audio cutting out and stop working issues using voicemeeter and my capture card. I got a goxlr mini to hopefully fix this in an easier way. Can my microphone work with this if it is USB?

    I'm contemplating going down the rabbit hole of building a Streaming PC (have a bunch of spare parts sitting around). My main issue is with the monitor setup. Right now, I have 3 monitors running off of display ports on my main PC. I saw in some of your other videos you have the toggle on your ultrawide which goes in between the gaming PC view and streaming PC view. Without purchasing that monitor, is there a way to send output of both pc's into a switch box and plug that into the 3rd monitor? I was thinking it would be mobo HDMI output (gaming PC) in, capture card output (streaming PC) into a switchbox then toggle, but haven't spent the money yet haha.
