    Good video, but spend a lit money on a microphone. Think about catching the attention of the views, just like in fishing.

    I had an older version of the lowrance and it was thebest fish finder i ever had. I dont need side scan as i am not going to be going side to side while kayakking. I want to find my target depths and stay on it. The lowrance transducer fit in the scupper so i never had to worry about it. I could easily read the screen and my fish catching went way up. Once it died i switched to the garmin and i find it cumbersome even though the screen is smaller. The transducer is so big i had to epoxy it to a shoot through hull , which makes the sidescan useless anyway. The screen setups are way more difficult. It does not have the accuracy of the lowrance hds. I now spend a lot of time setting stuff up when i used to just go.

    Good review man! I just started with a Garmin Striker Vivid 4cv, just waiting on it to deliver!! I set the hook on your channel.

      Appreciate it! It’s a good place to start so you don’t get overwhelmed! At least it’s helped me!

      How do you like your 4cv now that it's almost a year later?

    Well with the placement of your FF on the side in the way of both paddle and rod , then any size would get annoying and in the way , for a Viking Kayak like I'm getting with the position in the center on the tackle pod then I can't see the difference between a 7 and a 9 Inch FF , I am still looking at best under $ 1200 NZD , a 7 would be fine , but 9 would be nice , possibly still just 7 is a better suited size but a bigger screen would be great

      Yeah with my new Unlimited I now have it more out of the way and the larger screen isn’t too bad. I know a lot of Kayak anglers that now use 9 inch screens and love them

    I have a humminbird Helix and love it but the Lowrance is the next most appealing fish finder to me. Marking and customizing waypoints on the touchscreen seems very efficient on them compared to Humminbird Helix.
    Would never want live over side imaging though. Would prefer to have mega live and side imaging over live with no side scan.

      Thanks for the input! Lowrance does have a very user-friendly interface.
      What kayak are you in?

      Thanks! I appreciate the compliment! I believe the Striker Vivid series has a sidevu transducer option

    So I guess you can’t fish in the rain if your worried about your screen getting wet lol

      Rain just makes everything more of a hassle hah
      But the fishing always seems to be better in the rain 🌧️

    You NEVER wipe screens with windex.

      Some are coated with plastics and the alcohol and ammonia CAN damage those coatings. Not true for all screens, but better safe than sorry.

    • @YBGAnglers
      @YBGAnglers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure what you're calling "A scope"?

    • @wedkarstwomorskieuk6617
      @wedkarstwomorskieuk6617 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      in Garmin description is - A-scope (real time display of fish passing through transducer beam): Yes

    • @YBGAnglers
      @YBGAnglers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wedkarstwomorskieuk6617 I guess I'm not sure what the difference is, I know Garmin has different transducers for Livescope and Livescope Plus but I'm not sure what "A-scope" is
